From Rivals to Allies

*THIRD PERSON*

The two combatants stared each other down as Ishimoto was escorted out of the arena to Eri's office. Without hesitation, Shimoda charged towards Mabel, but Mabel didn't budge an inch. Shimoda's left arm hardened as she lunged it towards Leonidus' face. She moved out of the way and delivered a huge punch to Shimoda's gut! The ground that Shimoda stood on indented from the force of the strike. Violet colored Overdrive filled Mabel's eyes as she looked fiercely at Muteki. In the blink of an eye, she was behind Shimoda with a fist full of her hair, she threw her over her shoulder and slammed her on the ground. Muteki bounced off the ground as she gasped for air, Mabel appeared above her like a violet thunderbolt and had her left leg raised up high.

Shimoda quickly put up a shield made from the debris around her, but Mabel broke through it with ease, slamming her foot into Shimoda's stomach. She connected against the ground, creating a bright shockwave of Overdrive that was sent throughout the arena. A red and green colored blast sent Mabel into the air as Shimoda burst out from the ground. Shimoda darted towards Mabel as she created 6 afterimages that charged towards her as well. Shimoda quickly dispatched the first two that came towards her but was tackled by the third one. She shot three away from her as she elbowed the one that tackled her. Mabel flew in from the air as violet Overdrive flourished from her leg, it connected against Shimoda's face and sent her crashing down into the arena floor.

Flames shot up from where Shimoda hit the ground, Mabel stared at the sight without showing a single ounce of emotion. The smoke violently blew away revealing an extremely angered Shimoda Muteki! She was breathing heavily as she growled in frustration at Mabel.

"HOW DARE-" Shimoda tried to shout.

Mabel appeared in front of Shimoda, "Shut the fuck up."

Mabel's right arm lit up a neon violet as she rammed her fist into Shimoda's chin. The ground rose up into the air, the amount of power Mabel used in her right arm shook the entire stadium! Shimoda's head was reeled backwards as her entire body trembled.

"I don't know... What the fuck your problem is with me... But stop trying to model yourself after who I am and start trying to become your own hero." Mabel panted.

Mabel's right arm slumped to the ground as she exhausted herself by using the full power of her Overdrive. She stumbled backwards as Shimoda slowly raised her head downwards to look at her.

"Your jealousy is unjustifiable, the same with your actions, I've done nothing wrong to you. I don't understand why you hate me so much. Whatever you do next, just know, I won't ever reciprocate the hatred you have against me." Mabel continued.

Shimoda scowled at Mabel as she charged forward, Mabel didn't move an inch as she drilled her red and green fist into her face. The full power attack from Shimoda sent Mabel flying into the stadium wall. The stadium was filled with silence as a result of Shimoda's actions. As the match ended, Shimoda stormed off out of the arena, Alyx hurried over to his daughter as she laid unconscious on the ground. He healed her up and she slowly regained consciousness.

*MABEL'S P.O.V.*

I slowly opened my eyes after being knocked unconscious by Shimoda. Dad was smiling at me before brushing my hair out of my face.

"S-Sorry that... I didn't go farther, Dad." I apologized wearily.

"That's alright, I doesn't matter if you didn't make it to the finals, you put on one hell of a show! I'm proud of you, kiddo." He spoke softly.

I heard his phone ring as he helped me stand up, he answered it and his smile dropped.

"W-What? What's going on? H-Hang on, we'll be right there!" He fretted.

He stood there for a moment before looking at me, "Come on, we've gotta get home now!"

I nodded at him, I'm assuming he talked to Mr. Aizawa? We took off back towards home urgently.

[10 Minutes Later...]

Our home was in shambles, not as bad as what Shimura did, but there was some noticeable damage. Dad and I rushed inside to see what was going on.

"Go find your Mother and Ashi, make sure their okay!" Dad told me.

I hurried upstairs to their room, Mom wasn't in there, I ran to Ashi's room and found that he wasn't in there either. I jumped off the banister and headed towards the now destroyed living room, there was Dad kneeling down next to Mom, Luna was several feet away from them. I knelt down next to Mom and Dad as he held her in his arms.

"I-I... I c-couldn't... Stop them... I'm... I'm s-so sorry, Alyx..." Mom cried weakly.

"It's alright, Momo, what happened? Can you tell me?" Dad asked.

"T-They... They took him... They took Ashi!" She sobbed.

Dad's eyes widened with fear, "W-What?! Who took him, Momo? Who?"

"These men... W-With plague masks..." Mom replied.

Dad healed Mom's injuries and carried her into their bedroom. In the meantime, I was tending to Luna who was unconscious but bleeding rather terribly. She started to wake up once I healed her injuries.

"G-God...? Is that you?" She wondered.

"I wouldn't normally refer to myself as a deity, but if that's how you see me, then I guess so!" I joked.

She shook her head before realizing that it was me, Luna quickly hugged me as she gasped.

"It was terrible! These men that looked like birds came in and started wrecking shit! I... I couldn't do anything to stop them, it was like I couldn't move right for some reason." Luna told me.

Dad came back downstairs to repair the house, I don't think I've ever seen such an emotionless look on his face before. I walked into my room without saying a word either. This had that fucker Shimura written all over it, I could just tell.

[Two Days Later...]

I didn't feel like leaving my room at all, news spread all throughout Japan of Ashi's kidnapping, Pro Heroes all over Japan were scouring the place looking for him. Mr. Aizawa allowed us two days to recover from the Sports Festival, it was also because they needed to collect all of our nominations from the Festival. I had a total of 5,326 nominations from different agencies and Pro Heroes. I was trying not to breakdown as Mr. Aizawa showed the results, I knew that none of these were going to allow me to save Ashi, they're just Internships.

"Alright, we're going to move on to something else. You're going to be picking your hero names, these names will be important moving forward. Ms. Kaoru will be deciding whether or not the hero names you choose will be acceptable or not." Mr. Aizawa spoke up.

Hero names? What would mine even be? I could hardly get my mind of off what happened a couple days ago, how could I even think about my hero name? We were all given boards that we would present our hero names to the class. I sat there in thought for a little bit before I figured something out. I wrote my hero name on my board and waited to present it.

"Alright, Wazu, you're up first!" Ms. Kaoru smiled.

Wazu walked up to the front of the classroom with a smile on his face. He turned his board around with glee.

"The Smiley Hero: Laughter Man!" He beamed.

"Good job! That's a-okay by me!" Ms. Kaoru nodded.

Ms. Kaoru went down the list alphabetically, everyone's hero names so far were rather great sounding! Then it came down to me, I walked up to the front of the room and presented my hero name.

"My hero name is... Speed O' Sound." I announced.

"Woah, that sounds really interesting, Mabel! That's a definite pass from me!" Ms. Kaoru smiled.

I sat back down in my spot next to Hotaru. I spaced off as everyone else presented their hero names. I wasn't entirely wanting to be sitting here while Ashi was God knows where right now. The dismissal bell snapped me out of my spacing out and I quickly left the room to head to my locker. I gathered my stuff quietly as everyone talked among themselves about their results from the Festival. I closed my locker and was met with a face that I didn't want to see.

"So, how many nominations did you get, Mabel?" Shimoda smugly grinned.

I pushed past her, "I'm not in the mood."

She grabbed my shoulder but I shoved her hand away from me. I looked behind me and lowered my eyebrows.

"Did you not fucking hear what I said? Are you dumb or something? Just leave me the hell alone." I fumed.

I walked away from her but I heard her follow me. I stopped as in my tracks as I made it outside of U.A. I turned around to face her, she actually held genuine concern on her face.

"M-Mabel, are... Are you alright?" She wondered.

"Why would you care? Are you just gonna rub it in my face that I'm not okay? Are you gonna boast how you're feeling better than I am? That's all you've done, that's all you ever fucking do, Shimoda." I replied.

I started to tear up, "My little brother... He's been fucking kidnapped and I can't do anything about it because I don't have my license. I don't want to sit here and do nothing but what the fuck am I suppose to do? My Mom and Dad have had so many sleepless nights because they've been up looking for him. That's what eats at me the most, I'm useless in this situation all because I don't have some dumb license!"

I felt tears roll down my face and I used my sleeve to try and wipe them away.

"I'm so goddamn stupid for not telling Mom, Ashi and Luna to come with me..." I wept.

I heard her quickly walk towards me, then she hugged me, which I never thought she would do.

"I want to help you get your brother back, even if I have to risk my life to do so, if that's how I can repay you back for what I've done then I'll do it." She spoke softly.

I buried my head in her shoulder, "Thank you..."

"So, are we going to stand here or are we gonna look for your brother?" Shimoda questioned.

"W-Wait, we can't fight villains, remember? How are we going to do that?" I fretted.

"Simple, we just look for him and rescue him. I never said anything about fighting villains." She explained.

[Two Hours Later...]

We stood on a building's roof that overlooked Musutafu, I told Mom and Dad that I was out with Chou and Kokoro so that they didn't have to worry about me. I sat down on the edge of the rooftop as Shimoda stood next to me.

"Where do we even start? This city could have all sorts of hidden places." Shimoda sighed.

"Hmm... Wait a second, I almost forgot!" I spoke up.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath in, "What are you doing?"

"I'm searching for my Overdrive. I gave Ashi a necklace that had a small locket with my Overdrive in it. He used it whenever he would spend the night with his school friends, he's scared of the dark and uses it as a sort of nightlight. I guess it makes him feel safe." I told her.

I continued to focus on the Heat Energy that was coming from the locket, although it was slightly faint, I was able to get a direction from it!

"There! East from here, I don't know the exact location, but I can sense the locket! You can fly, right?" I exclaimed.

"Were you not paying attention during the Sports Festival or something?" She answered.

I put my hand behind my head and laughed, "Oh, right, I guess I forgot!"

Shimoda and I took off in the direction of Ashi's locket. Hopefully they didn't hurt him, then again, it wouldn't exactly be smart if they did. After about 20 minutes of flying, I was able to pinpoint the exact location that the Heat Energy was residing from. We stood over the building that held Ashi and whoever was inside.

"Now don't try and start a fight. We're only going in and out, hopefully without problem." Shimoda advised.

"Right!" I nodded.

We made our way down to the building's roof, I broke into a locked overhead window that lead into some sort of attic? We slowly crept through the attic like area until we found an opening that overlooked the main area. There were definitely some awful interior design choices in here! It didn't sound like anyone was in here, but I felt the Heat Energy from the locket nearby. I quietly flew down towards it, they had Ashi locked in some sort of room! Shimoda drilled her hand through the door handle and gently pushed it open. Ashi jumped up from his bed with tears of joy in his eyes.

"Mabel!" He cried.

I ran over and hugged him tightly, "Hey, everything's alright, I'm here."

I picked him up, Shimoda led us out of the room, all of the lights in the main area turned on. A well dressed man sat on a chair in the middle of the room, he had a rather long, odd looking nose. I kept Ashi close to me as Shimoda raised her arm out towards me.

"Who are you?" Shimoda called out.

"I'd like to ask you the same thing, what are children like you doing here?" He inquired.

"Are you the bastard that kidnapped my brother? You've got a lot of goddamn explaining to do!" I shouted.

He sat up straight in his chair, "Ah, that's where you'd be incorrect. I had no part in the abduction of your brother, although I won't reveal the identities of my colleagues, that would be what you children call 'snitching' if I'm correct. But I'm afraid that I can't let you leave here with him."

"Oh, really? And who exactly do you think you are?" Shimoda challenged.

"Who am I? You can call me Re-Destro, and you my friends... You can call yourselves 'Good As Dead'!" He informed us.

He stood up from his chair but kept his hands behind his back the entire time. I looked at Shimoda who was already looking at me. We were waiting for him to make a move but he just stood there, waiting for us to do the same.

"Hm? What's the hold up? You don't have those licenses, do you? Now that really makes me wonder... Why exactly did you two think it would be a good idea to come here?" Re-Destro pondered.

Ashi started to get scared and he buried his head in my shoulder. What would we even do here? Shimoda nodded at me, I activated Gear Two and took off towards the opening. A huge arm of darkness came towards me, causing me to reverse course and back away from the opening.

"Where do you think you're going?" He yelled to me.

Shimoda took the opportunity to send a huge explosion towards Re-Destro, he went flying into the wall in front of us. I sent Ashi into the opening and went back down to her.

"Ashi, go get Dad!" I shouted.

He nodded and ran for it, I landed down next to Shimoda as she stood ready to attack. The smoke from the impact exploded with nothing but darkness, we guarded our faces as it spewed out violently, I noticed a small, empty needle fly by my face. An absolutely gigantic monster appeared in front of us, what was this guy?!

*THIRD PERSON*

Re-Destro had injected himself with Trigger, a Quirk enhancing drug that significantly boosts a person's Quirk! He stepped out of the wall using 300% of his Stress!

"Isn't this something? I'm using at least 300% of my Quirk right now, you sure as hell won't be able to do anything to me!" He cackled.

Mabel and Shimoda looked on in subtle fear as they saw the hulking giant standing in front of them. He shot out a wave of black energy from his arm, Mabel stood there, unable to move at all. A shield was suddenly put up in front of her, completely blocking the attack from Re-Destro, which caused the two students to look behind them.

"M-Mom?" Shimoda called out.

"Dad!" Mabel smiled.

The two Pro Heroes stood behind their children with ill-intent in their eyes. Re-Destro let off a wide smile at them.

"Oh! Leonidus, Ms. Invincible, what a pleasure to see you here! I guess I can make reservations to crush you as well!" Re-Destro grinned.

The shield blasted Re-Destro's attack through the roof of the building. Alyx and Tomikoa stepped forward, Leonidus' hair faded into white as Tomikoa's hair raised upwards once her aura surrounded her body.
