To The Sports Festival!

We all were sitting in our waiting room after we changed into our gym uniforms. I was kind of anxious about this whole event, I've never been on TV before! I already had my plan situated, I was going to use Gear Two on top of Boost Fire at times 40 magnification, then I'd be able to zoom clear towards the stadium!

"Hey, Mabel, good luck out there! Hopefully I'll get to see you during the tournament!" Ishimoto smiled.

I nodded at him, "Same to you, Ishi! This is gonna be fun!"

After a few more minutes of waiting, we walked out onto the stage, we were surrounded by the other First-Years. I noticed that Dad, Chargebolt and Dynamight were standing off to the side, I guess they must've been the security for this event? Mitsuri was called up by Midnight to deliver some type of pledge. She tapped the microphone and looked at the crowd. I could tell that this was going to go off course rather quickly...

"Ooo! This is super duper exciting! I never thought I'd be on TV before until now! I wonder if my parents are watching this? Oh wait, is that you up there, Dad? Hey!" Mitsuri grinned.

She waved at Lemillion who waved back at her. I heard Naoki groan out of annoyance behind me.

"Can we just hurry this shit up already? I'm trying to win." He muttered.

After about 5 minutes of listening to Mitsuri ramble on about various things, Midnight finally stepped in and dismissed her back down to the rest of us.

"Not what I was expecting, but at least it was adorable! Now, onto the preliminaries, which will be an Obstacle Race. Students will be running 4 kilometers around the stadium facing various obstacles! Without further adieu, let's get this started!" Midnight announced.

The door behind us immediately opened, all of us looked at each other before rushing towards the door. I couldn't use my Quirk just yet, not with all of these people rushing into one tight spot. We were all packed inside of the narrow corridor, nobody was really able to work their way out of it.

"Give me a damn break..." I mumbled.

I went forward with my plan, my violet aura and rose-gold aura lit up the corridor and I flew up into the air.

"Hey! That's not fair!" I heard someone shout.

"It's fair game in this juncture!" I yelled back.

In a matter of seconds, I was out of the stadium, I was glad to be out of that annoying pack of people! I saw villain bots jump out in front of me but I blazed right through them. I couldn't help but feel as if my right calf was heavier for some reason. I looked behind me and saw Zakaza hanging onto me with her tape.

"C-COULD YOU SLOW DOWN?!" She screamed.

"Sorry about this!" I told her.

I cut her tape off and she went flying away from me. I was zooming through all of the obstacles without any problem, neither was there anyone else in sight. Within about 2 minutes, I reached the end of the course, I landed down and deactivated my Quirk. The silence was rather nice if I was going to be honest. I walked through the empty corridor nonchalantly, there wasn't any point in wasting my energy when I was this far ahead of everyone else. I heard the cheers of the people in the stadium as I got closer to the entrance. I knew once this tournament starts, I'd be up against Shimoda, that much was obvious.

I was cheered and hollered at by the people in the stands as I entered the stadium. I saw my Dad smirk, I wasn't surprised that he knew I'd come in first!

"Wow! Astonishing! That has to be the quickest time anyone has ever finished the Obstacle Race!" Present Mic chirped.

I stood and waited for the others to make their way into the stadium. Not to my surprise, Shimoda ran into the stadium shortly after I did. She gave me a dirty look as she passed by me. Soon, more students slowly made their way into the stadium. Everyone finally made their way into the stadium, but at least a good percentage of them weren't going to be going forward.

"Now, these are the 42 students that have qualified for the second event of today, the Calvary Battle! Students will need to form teams of four with one rider and three horses. They will also be given a point value depending on where they finished during the race. the 42nd place to the 2nd place will ascending by five points, starting at five, obviously! However, the first place finisher is worth ten million points! The point values are added by however many scored headbands a team collects. If a team manages to obtain the ten million while having two other headbands, those will be added together." Midnight explained.

I felt all eyes on me, I totally forgot that the first place finisher was worth that many points!

"Oh for fucks sake..." I sighed.

"Is that regret I'm hearing, Mabel?" Shimoda smirked.

"Now it's annoyance." I retorted.

She kept quiet after I spoke, we all started to split off into teams, who exactly would I team up with? I could tell that everyone was staying away from me being that I was the main target. I heard someone come up towards me, I turned around and saw Ishimoto!

"Hey, I guess you're a rather big target! You don't have anyone on your team, do you?" Ishimoto smiled.

"Well, you could be on it, if you'd like. I'm not pressuring you to-" I told him.

In the blink of an eye, he stood right next to me with an intensely bright smile on his face. Inazuma and Arai made their way over to us as well.

"We'll join too! These guys are babies for not trying to join you." Inazuma remarked.

"I'm joining because Takumo owes me money, he also has to pay me back for the fast food trips we went on last week." Arai added.

I nodded and we formed our human chariot, I stood on Inazuma and Ishimoto's hands as Arai stood in front of us. Inazuma and Arai would be our main offense and defense, keeping everyone else away from me. Midnight signaled for the contest to start and everyone took off towards us.

"Alright, Arai, get ready! Inazuma, Ishimoto, keep a firm lookout on our sides and behind!" I instructed.

Arai let her ice flow down to her left foot, it spread out across the entire field! We had thirty minutes to try and stall everyone else. The ice that trapped Naoki's group burst outwards and they charged towards us! I saw his fierce grin as his bright red eyes lit up with terrifying intent. Inazuma quickly let out a shockwave using his earphone jacks that knocked them backwards, it managed to knock off Naoki's headband! I saw a shadow tongue fly out and grab it, Hotaru quickly grabbed it and wrapped it around her forehead. Her, Yomaura, and Yamashiro broke out of the ice, thanks to Yamashiro making herself giant! Naoki's attention was immediately turned towards them.

"YOU BASTARDS BETTER COME HERE! I'M GONNA FUCKING DESTROY YOU!!" He roared.

He ordered Chou, Uchima, and Saizaki to charge towards her team. I felt a change in the air, I looked to my right and saw Shimoda's outreached hand. I pushed it aside and delivered a headbutt to her. We quickly moved away as her group went off course, I'm glad I've got a really hard head, she looked like she was rather disoriented! Arai created an ice wall to block Mitsuri's team from coming towards us. Flames drilled through Arai's ice wall, Takumo had peeked his head through the hole.

"Hello sister, we'll be taking that headband now." He calmly spoke to Arai.

I couldn't help but notice that Mitsuri's team had 2 other headbands already! We were beginning to get closed in on by the other teams, there was only so much that we could do! What could I even do here? There was no way that I could avoid my headband being taken by one of these teams. I was going through hundreds of different things until my mind suddenly went blank. My body was completely cold, I closed my eyes and took a deep breath in, then back out. I couldn't open my eyes whatsoever. I heard the other teams come towards us, but my body was moving on it's own, dodging everything they were doing!

*THIRD PERSON*

Alyx watched on as his daughter dodged everything with impossible precision! Kaminari placed his hand on his shoulder as his eyes widened.

"D-Dude... Is that...?" Kaminari sputtered.

"No, I don't think it is, but it's definitely a sign." Alyx replied.

He looked at Midnight as she too was staring in awe. The wheels in Leonidus' head were turning, was this really a sign?

"Alyx, you wouldn't-" Midnight tried to ask.

"If any of you touch my daughter and put her through what you put me through, I'm going to make Hosu City look like a small windstorm in comparison to what I'll do to all of you." He threatened.

Midnight slowly turned her head back towards the ongoing Calvary Battle.

"Oi, Bondage Lady, why do you look so young?" Bakugo spoke up.

"Oh, I simply had Eri reverse me to my natural youth! I've got more energy than ever before!" She winked.

Kaminari, Alyx, and Bakugo's eyes narrowed at her gleaming pride. Leonidus crossed his arms and sighed as he looked back towards the battle.

"Good grief..." He sighed.

*MABEL'S P.O.V.*

I seriously had no idea how I was still doing this! I guess I panicked and my body took control for me?

"Woah WOAH! Look at this folks! Mabel Leonidus is going wild!" Present Mic shouted.

There was a huge gust of wind that surrounded us, I opened my eyes to see that it knocked everyone back, most of their headbands were on the ground! The tables turned and now everyone was going after each other.

"Holy shit, Mabel! That was dope as fuck!" Inazuma complimented.

"Yeah, I have not one clue how I did that!" I smiled.

We watched as everyone struggled and scuffled to grab their headbands. Within a couple minutes, an airhorn signaled the end of the bout. We managed to stall all of them out! We all separated from each other to see the teams that made the cut. Our team was first, Hotaru's was second, Mitsuri's was third, and Shimoda's was forth. Midnight dismissed all of us to lunch, they were going to let the other students participate in some sort of game like activity.

[40 Minutes Later...]

After lunch, we returned to the stadium to see who would be participating in the final part of the Sports Festival, the tournament! The top four teams drew lots to see who would be participating in the first round. My eyes widened when I saw the list of match-ups:

"Mabel Leonidus Vs. Saizaki Kirishima

Naoki Bakugo Vs. Kokoro Shinso

Chou Kocho Vs. Arai Todoroki

Hotaru Tokoyami Vs. Mitsuri Togata

Takumo Todoroki Vs. Kotake Toga

Hanae Janiett Vs. Zakaza Sero

Gyro Kaibara Vs. Wazu Aizawa

Ishimoto Midoriya Vs. Shimoda Muteki"

How was Naoki on the list? I looked over and noticed that one of Mitsuri's team members weren't with us. Naoki had a smug grin on his face, did he just...? That wasn't my main concern at the moment however, it was Ishimoto going up against Shimoda! I looked over at Ishimoto, he didn't look worried at all, I guess he didn't really know too much about her. My match with Saizaki was the first up, but they continued the recreational games to prepare the main stage, Saizaki and I had to wait until those games finished up. Hopefully Shimoda doesn't go too rough on him, but I'd imagine she would just to prove a point.

Once I got down to my respective waiting room, the only thing I was worried about was Ishimoto. Not to mention the fact that I was supposed to sit there and watch it all go down. I sat there in thought for a good 10 minutes before being called out to the arena. I stood several feet away from Saizaki, I could tell she was just as excited as I was about this fight!

"Alrighty folks! The first match-up of this spectacular tournament is underway! Hang onto your seats cause heeeere we go!" Present Mic announced.

Without saying a word to each other, I flew towards Saizaki and she ran towards me. Our fists clashed furiously against each other.

"DORARARARA! DORARARARA!!" I shouted.

"DURAAAAAAHHH!!!" Saizaki yelled.

I pushed one of her fists downwards and uppercut her in the jaw. She retaliated with a punch to my jaw as well! I spun around and backhanded her with an arm full of Overdrive. I switched gears into One For All and held my fingers out towards her, I flicked a huge gust of wind that sent her flying backwards, Saizaki nearly sailed out of bounds! She secreted acid from the cracks in her body to create some sort of acid slide to save her from falling out of bounds. She charged towards me and through a strike at me, I dodged her punch and kept dodging the set of punches she through at me. I blocked her right arm and went forward with a headbutt, it made her stumble backwards, I entered Gear Two and delivered a huge Overdrive Fist to her stomach.

My fist broke through her hardened state and I launched her out of the arena! Steam rose from my right arm as I blew it off.

"That was an extremely furious yet quick bout! Mabel Leonidus moves on to the 2nd round!" Midnight exclaimed.

I walked out of the arena to help Saizaki up to her feet, "Hey, that was fun! Sorry about the quick finish, I kind of want to get through this tournament rather quickly."

"Y-Yeah, that's fine! I had a lot of fun too! It definitely helped me blow off some steam." She smiled.

She grabbed my hand and I helped her stand up on her feet. I looked over at Dad, he smiled at me as he nodded. I looked up over at the 1-B stands and saw Shimoda glaring at me before she looked off somewhere else. We returned to the stands after I healed Saizaki up a bit.

"Wow, that was amazing you two! Were you fighting seriously, Mabel?" Chou marveled.

"No, I've never fought seriously before. I don't think I ever will though." I bubbled.

I sat down next to Ishimoto and Yamashiro. I was honestly interested to see how these other matches go!

[30 Minutes Later...]

I couldn't believe what I was seeing... It took every fiber of my body to not jump out of my seat to head straight down to the arena. Ishimoto was getting pummeled by Shimoda.

"Alright! Shimoda, that's enough! Ishimoto's been rendered unconscious!" Midnight shouted.

Shimoda looked down at him, "Eh, he's still got his eyes open, he's not out yet."

A smirk came across her face, I shot up from my seat as the stadium began to turn their cheers into boos for the disrespectful nature that Shimoda was showing. My Overdrive ignited around me and the stadium's attention was on me.

"M-Mabel! Stop, don't do it, just calm down!" Inazuma told me.

I stared Shimoda down, she eventually dropped Ishimoto down to the ground, then kicked him away from her. She flipped her hair and started walking away towards the arena entrance. I looked over at Midnight, she immediately showed the board for round 2, the names were being randomly generated. The first match-up was me and Shimoda, I smiled as I hopped over the stand railing.

"Hey, bitch!" I yelled.

Shimoda turned around before she left, "Excuse me?"

"You fucking heard me, our match is right now, let's get this shit started." I scowled.
