Magnus Arrives

Mathias face was ashen as he kept running out of the forest, he wanted to reach the army camp in the western parts of the forest as there were more people there. Lissandra and Elizabeth tried their best to keep up with his pace.

-" Hey, we need to go faster, they are close to us!" Mathias could feel the aura of one Heigong elder approaching them.

Elizabeth was the one having the most difficulty keeping up as she had the lowest cultivation at the seventh level of the Foundation Establishment Realm, Lissandra decided to carry her as she was faster than Elizabeth even with the extra weight.

They kept running until reaching the western camp, yet, when they arrived there their worries only grew, as they found the camp completely deserted. Mathias was about to order the two girls to run again when he felt an attack closing on them.

Blood tridents came flying from the forest. Mathias quickly conjured a spell. -" Eternal Sun Defensive Arts, Aegis Solaris." A shield with a sun image on it appeared in his front, when the tridents hit the shield, sparks, and rays of energy scattered everywhere, the aftershock of the attacks devasted the center of the camp.

Mathias face was pale as he gazed towards his enemy, he could sense other Heigong cultivators arriving, he was about to begin casting a spell. When wings sprouted from the Heigong elder's back and he flew up.

As he flew over the feathers started to rain down on the camp, Mathias had a frown as he knew that his enemy was trying to stall them so the rest of his group could arrive. Mathias reinforced his shield and began to prepare his next spell.

-" Where are the other soldiers of the territory army?" The Heigong flew even higher as he feared that he fell in an ambush, he was suspicious about the empty camp. After sensing the surroundings with his aura and clearing his doubts a smile crept on his face.

He was quite lucky as it was quite likely that the soldiers that were here previously had moved to reinforce their other camp, leaving Mathias completely isolated. While he wanted to get his hand on more cultivators from the Strafhampton Army and the Eternal Sun Sect, he knew that eliminating Mathias right now would be fruitful for him.

Mathias was racking his mind as he blocked the constant attacks of the Heigong Elder, Mathias didn't feel confident in fighting him. Mathias had a pale face as he gazed at the two women behind him, he could escape if he was alone, but, defending the two of them was too hard for him.

Mathias hands moved hastily as he kept conjuring spells, most of them were defensive, however, the last spell he cast conjured an enormous sun behind him. The Heigonng elder saw it and prepared to defend himself.

A light erupted from the sun and completely covered the surroundings blinding everyone, the Heigong elder braced himself for the incoming attack, yet, it never arrived. When the light dissipated, not only the Heigong elder, even Lissandra and Elizabeth were surprised when they saw Mathias running away in the distance.

Elizabeth and Lissandra were full of angst as they realized that Mathias left them, even the Heigong elder was looking towards the two girls from the Eternal Sun Sect with a bit of sympathy, even in the Heigong an Elder leaving two junior like this and running away was shameful.

-" Quite the coward, how low the Eternal Sun Sect was fallen." The Heigong Elder shook his head as he looked at the girls who were left behind. " I will grant the two of you a quick death."

The Heigong Elder pointed towards them and two strands of red mist flowed out the tips of his fingers, the girls were terrified, they never thought that they would meet their ends here.

Lissandra was looking hatefully at Mathias back when a powerful aura poured on them, and on the horizon, a gigantic sun appeared. Everyone was surprised by the sun's sudden appearance, the Heigon Elder stopped his attack and looked anxiously at the horizon.

Mathias who was closer to the sun, froze in fear, his pale face full of sweat contorted as he realized who was coming -" S-S-S-Sect Leader? Why are you here?" Mathias was trembling as he knew that he was done, It was clear that he had abandoned his two junior and ran away.

Mathias wanted to explain himself to his Sect Leader, yet before he could say anything else a yellow flash passed through him and headed towards the two girls. Mathias turned around and followed the flash, at first, he wanted to run away and hide, but, he knew that he needed to defend himself.

When the Heigong Elder saw the flash approaching him, he began to run away, however, he notices that just behind him, the rest of his group had just arrived. With confused eyes, they stared at their leader running away. They only noticed something wrong when they saw the yellow light approaching them quickly.

-" RETREAT! SOMEONE POWERFUL IS COMING, WE CAN'T FACE HIM!" The Heigong Elder desperately screamed, he already was suspicious of who had arrived, only a handful of people were on this level in the Iqecia Kingdom.

When the Heigong cultivators saw how their elder was acting, they all started to run fearfully, whatever was coming, it wasn't something that they were willing to face. They turned quickly and began to escape, yet, the yellow light was too fast, and reached them in no time.

As the light passed through them, a light circle was summoned in each of the Heigong cultivators, before they could react, the lights circles formed a rune. When the Heigong Elder saw this spell his suspicions were confirmed.

-" Eternal Sun Binding Arts, Six Pointed Sun Prison." This spell was one of the highest levels in the entirety of the Eternal Sun Sect. " Why did you come here, Holy Sun Man?" The Heigong Elder completely resigned himself to his fate, there is nothing he could do against this man.
