57 Reinforcements

Magnus, the Holy Sun Man didn't answer him, with a movement from his hand, the light circles moved and accompanied him as he flew towards the two girls in the camp. Lissandra and Elizabeth's faces were still pale, the fear of death still vivid on their mind.

Seeing that Magnus was going toward the girls, Mathas frowned and looked at them with an icy gaze. He still had a chance to escape punishment if the girls defended him. Lissandra clenched her teeth as he saw Mathias gaze.

She knew that if she didn't help Mathias now, he would make their lives a living hell in the future, as for his punishment, Mathias was an Immortal Soul Elder, something that every sect needed to treat with respect, even the Eternal Sun Sect, while his punishment would be severe, it wouldn't be banishment or death.

Elizabeth looked at the ground, she still was in the Foundation Establishment Realm, so going against Mathias never crossed her mind, only Lissandra with her already consolidated space on the Sect had this idea.

Seeing the two girl's faces, Mathias grinned, he knew that they would defend him, He was on cloud nine as he waited for Magnus to speak, yet, when his Leader finally spoke Mathias broke in sweat again.

-" Mathias, Where is Madeline?" Magnus's short question made him tremble, he didn't know if Elias and Madeline were alive, and even if they were Elias would make his life hell for his desertion of the mission.

Mathias clenched his fist, he wanted to lie to Magnus and tell him Madeline and Elias were already dead, but, if they survived this ordeal and exposed his lies, his punishment would only grow.

With a bitter face, he began to explain himself. -" Elias took her, I told him that the mission failed and we needed to run away, yet he was too consumed with achievements and dragged her away." Mathias was emotional as he told the story, Magnus was suspicious, he trusted Elias, that's why he sent him with his granddaughter here, he would never force her to follow him without her consent, Magnus observed the face of the two women next to Mathias and nodded.

-" Guide me to them." Magnus was serious as he ordered Mathias, as he was about to start moving he stopped and turned back to Mathias. " Do you have any information about the Fire Pillar?" Magnus now had a hint of curiosity on his face.

Mathias shoock his head. -" I didn't dare to go closer to it, but, it looks like it happened near one of the Strafhamptons army camps." Mathias quickly told him everything he knew.

Magnus nodded and flew carrying Lissandra, Elizabeth, and the Heigond Cultivators he had imprisoned. Mathias was leading the way, he prayed for Madeline and Elias to still be alive, after all, if they meet their end, Mathias would be partly at fault as he had deserted the mission.

Minutes before Magnus arrived, Elias and Madeline were running towards the location of the Fire pillar, they too could feel the Heigong cultivators closing on them, but, as Elias carried Madeline their speed was faster.

Elias knew that the only person who could reach them would be the other Heigong Elder, this made him a bit nervous, however, as he kept running he felt the aura of another group. Elias's eyes shone as he made a turn and headed straight to them.

Bryson and Alan were guiding the soldier of the second camp towards the location of the treasure when they saw the Fire Pilar. Fearing something had happened to Jeffrey and Philips they moved to reinforce them.

Bryson was trying to contact Jeffrey through a Voice Resonating Stone when he felt two groups approaching him. -" Get in formation, there is people approaching!" Bryson's voice alerted all the soldiers who quickly readied themselves for the incoming battle.

Alan positioned himself next to Bryson as they prepared for the battle when they saw an old man with a girl in his arms running towards them, Bryson looked closely and recognized Elias.

-" He is from the Eternal Sun Sect, he is quite close to Philips." Bryson quickly informed Alan. " Did the Eternal Sun Sect lose? Where is the rest of their group?" As Bryson was questioning himself the stone in his hand shone.

-" Bryson, Did you arrive there yet?" Jeffrey's voice resonated from the stone. " We need to reinforce the Eternal Sun Sect Group, the granddaughter of their Leader is with them."

Bryson frowned as he heard that. -" Two people from the Eternal Sun Sect are coming towards us, One of them is Elias and he is carrying a girl with him, let's hope that she is the one you're looking for." Bryson quickly passed the stone to one guard behind him. -" Give Jeffrey our coordinates. Alan let's go help them." Bryson quickly finished giving the orders and dashed towards Elias.

Elias saw the Strafhamtons flags in the group and finally relaxed, he wasn't afraid of fighting against the Heigong, however, he knew that he needed to ensure Madeline's safety.

-"Hey, there is a group following me." Elias quickly reached Bryson and began to explain. " I can handle the strongest cultivator in the group, but, I need help protecting her."

Alan had just arrived and tried to confirm the girl's background. -" Is she the blood relative of the Leader of your Sect?" The question made Madeline nervous, she always tried to hide her background as she feared people would treat her differently.

-" Yes, Our group was divided while we were being chased, so I need to ask your help now." Elias too was surprised, he never thought that Madeline's secret was already exposed. " Is Jeffrey or Philips here?"

-" No, we came here to reinforce the main camp, we were originally in the western part of the forest." Bryson's answer made Elias worry. Mathias, Lissandra, and Elizabeth were looking to get help from the camp where they came from. If their camp was empty, Mathias and the two ladies were doomed, as there was no way for them to receive help.
