Chapter 2 :- Dinner with the Kim Family

Ashlie's Pov :-

When I left my father's cabin , I straight away went to my office and made the rectifications in the presentation file saved in my laptop according to the discussion I had with my father . Once the rectifications was completed , I sent a copy of the file to Nari to print out the documents instead of the old ones , and give it to all the board of directors attending the meeting and the teams which are supposed to work on the project .

I started getting ready for the meeting arranging all my important documents , laptop , wore my jacket , and did my hair properly and went towards the conference room . All the board of directors were already present in the room , so I quickly gave my stuff to Nari who was standing near my appointed chair and she arranged all the stuff and connected my laptop to the projector for me to start the presentation .

I greeted everyone present in the conference room including the board of directors and my father – the chairman of the company , and started the presentation by pointing out the main strategies used for the production of the clothes for children's wear like the machines used for the production , the land bought for the factory and the cloth materials which are to be used while making clothes for the children's wear sale of the month which is happening at the end of the month of June . Some of the few directors who were against the strategies started pointing out out all their questions and queries without any basic point which is to be made in the meeting . I answered all the queries to prove my point , without getting angry with them for asking baseless questions .

When I was done with the meeting , I quickly left the meeting room after Nari took all my stuff and went towards my office which was near the design department and called everyone working for the project to get the updates on how the designs were coming out for the dresses of the children's wear . I went through everyone's designs and selected a few which were good and gave the rest of the designs back to rework on them .

I completed all my work related to the design of the clothes , took all my stuff , gave Nari some work related to the project and I left for home . I went out of my office towards the lift , entered the lift and pressed the button for basement where the parking lot is located in the building . I reached the floor and went towards the VIP parking lot where my car was parked , got inside the car , put all my stuff in the passenger seat and started driving towards my mansion .

After driving for thirty minutes , I reached my family's mansion . I quickly got off the car and gave the car key to the butter after entering the house . My maid Aira was waiting for me near the kitchen . I asked her to prepare some lunch , as I had told her earlier that I would be back by noon . Aira quickly set the table with lunch which was prepared early for my younger twins – brother and sister , both named Park Sunho and Park Suri , as they come late because of the college activities and clubs which they joined during their first year and they enjoyed it . On the table was a beautiful spread of stir-fried vegetables , spicy chiken stew , kimchi , and a bowl of rice . I took out some portion of it and ate my lunch . After finishing my lunch , I rinsed my mouth with a minty flavour mouth freshner .

After resting for a while , I selected the clothes which I wanted to wear for the evening . I took out a simple plated blue long dress paired with a blue six-inch heels . I took a shower , and came out of the washroom and went towards the walk-in-closet to dress-up for the dinner . I wore the dress and took my heels in my hand as i went to the dressing table . I first put a light cream on my face and hands , applied a skin colour foundation , light red blush , blue with a tinch of silver eyeshadow , mascara , eyeliner , and a red colour lipstick . I wore a sapphire blue pendant with matching earings , and took out a studded black clutch to keep all my necessary stuff in it .

I went towards the living room after putting on my heels and towards my car where my driver was waiting for me to go to the mansion where my grandparents and parents live in . My elder brother will also be coming to the family dinner from his apartment which is near the company's office . I opened the car door , got inside the car , put my clutch near me and told my driver to start the car . The drive from my mansion to the family's mansion takes about an hour . It was around six o'clock and i was well in time .

After an hour , I reached the mansion where in the garage stood some of the most expensive cars . I got out of the car and walked towards the mansion . I entered the mansion and greeted my grandparents – Park Kangmin and Jiang Seonhui , my parents – Park Sangchun and Kang Seolri , and my elder brother – Park Saemin . I started chatting with my elder brother about the meeting which happened today as he was not present in the meeting due to the extra workload put on him by the management team of the production department of the company .

After some time , the butler – Elder Du , came hurriedly announcing that Kim family had arrived .
