268 Chapter 268

Preparations were being made to host a party for announcing Li Zi Yun as a member of Zhao family. Already they had started the process of registering Li Zi Yun into their family register. Since everyone in Li family was dead now, there was not any problem in changing her family register. Li Zi Yun was not much bothered about changing her family name either. The Zhao family had been very understanding and considerate and they even told her that she could keep her family name as Li if she wanted, but Li Zi Yun agreed to change her family name. It was not something she cherished or did not want to change, so when they suggested, she immediately agreed.

No one from the Zhao family spoke a word about the kidnapping. Instead, Grandfather Zhao had secretly ordered his men to find out what happened. He did not want the events of the past to repeat once again and he wanted to find out who was responsible for the kidnapping. Grandfather Zhao wanted to know if it was the man, who killed his grandchildren in the past had now returned to killed Li Zi Yun's baby. Though he had been searching for all these years he had not found anything useful regarding the murderer but still he was waiting for the moment for when he could kill the murderer with his own hands for killing his grandchildren. He did not want his family to face any more tragedy.

Zhao Ming Mei's brothers Zhao Chao Xiang and Zhao Dong Hai started treating Li Zi Yun as their sibling instead of Zhao Ming Mei. While Zhao Ming Mei used to talk back and ignore the words of the brothers, Li Zi Yun was the opposite. Her half brother had been the worst human being and therefore having brothers who care about her was something new to her. Zhao Chao Xiang was a doctor and he even took Li Zi Yun to the hospital just to see him work. Zhao Dong Hai was in the military and since Zhao family was involved in making supplies for the military, Li Zi Yun had no problem in entering and seeing her brother. Zhao Ming Mei treated these professions as something not important and she wanted her brothers to be involved in the family business and not embarrass her.

Zhao Ming Mei had the opinion that people of her status, especially her brothers should be in the top position ordering around people and not work under someone. She never respected them and she had even stopped talking much to them after a certain point of time. Her world was centered on her and she had no consideration for others. Grandfather Zhao had already said that he was ready to choose the next Chairman and Zhao Ming Mei was rooting for her father. She thought that even though her uncle Zhao Yu Zheng was the eldest, he had no children and therefore eventually it would go to her father. Therefore, she wanted her father to become the Chairman so that she could get the company at a young age. However, Li Zi Yun's arrival jeopardized Zhao Ming Mei's plans. So Zhao Ming Mei was spending her entire time in the company since she did not want to see Li Zi Yun at her home.

Life was slowly getting back to normal for Li Zi Yun. She was spending more and more time in the Zhao family home whenever Wang Yu was not at home. The announcement and party was planned for the weekend and the information was kept a secret, as they did not want word to get out before they were ready.

The Zhao family had invited both Li Zi Yun and Wang Yu for dinner that day and Li Zi Yun was getting ready. Wang Yu had informed her he will be home soon and she was waiting for him and that time she had an unexpected visitor. All the woman from Wang family had come to meet her. Though Li Zi Yun knew that nothing good would come out from meeting them, yet she let them inside. As she expected, all of them were glaring at her. She could not understand why they would be angry. She is the one who should be angry with them but here they are, staring at her. Li Zi Yun knew that Wang Yiran was sent abroad, but she was now standing in front of her and she felt something odd.

Instead of having small talk, they went directly to the topic as soon as they sat down.

Mrs. Wang said, "We know that you are suffering... but we don't think this will work anymore. Leave him"

Li Zi Yun had not expected this discussion. She thought that the situation would change after they knew she was from Zhao family, but she did not expect this. "What?"

Grandmother Wang also did not hesitate to say, "We think it's time for you leave him"

Li Zi Yun found this totally ridiculous, but she continued feigning ignorance as if she couldn't understand what they were trying to say, "Oh... you mean I should divorce him?"

Mrs. Wang was getting angrier minute by minute but she tried to stay calm, "Yes the babies died because of you and now because of your carelessness our Xiaoyu is suffering"

Li Zi Yun was done giving them respect; she had had enough of this now. She sat with her legs crossed and questioned her mother in law, "Is it because of me or because of YOU?" (She stressed the word you just to make them understand that she was blaming them for this)

Grandmother Wang lost her patience and yelled at Li Zi Yun, "How dare you?"

However, Li Zi Yun was so calm that she was not at all bothered by their words, "If you thought I will be crying and begging at your feet after hearing this. You're so so wrong"

Grandmother Wang did not expect this from Li Zi Yun, "You… y… you…"

Li Zi Yun was not ready to be bullied by these people in her home, "Did you think that I would leave just because you said so? What a joke. Looks like your son did not tell you that this house is in my name. So it is you people who have to get out."

Mrs. Wang started yelling at Li Zi Yun, "Don't dream that you can live without our support"

Li Zi Yun replied calmly, with a chuckle, "Did you forget that I'm Zhao family's daughter now?

Mrs. Wang was raging inside but she could not find anything to say. She thought that Li Zi Yun would be in sorrow and therefore it would be easy to get rid of her. But here, what was happening was the exact opposite of what she thought would happen. Li Zi Yun had a comeback for everything and did not have an ounce of respect for them. She was talking to them the entire time by looking in their eyes as if they were of equal ages.

It was time for Wang Yu to come home and she had wasted enough time with them. So she got up and said, "If you have nothing more to say, you can walk yourself out. As you can see I'm busy"

Everyone was dumbfounded to say a word so Li Zi Yun continued, "If you're wondering where I'm going… yes I'm going to my parent's house with my husband. Do not worry you are not invited. You can leave."

Exactly at that, moment Wang Yu walked in, Li Zi Yun walked straight towards him saying, "Hubby your home", and she kissed him straight on the lips just for everyone to see.

Wang Yu was certainly not expecting this welcome, so he stood there stunned for a minute and only then, he noticed his family sitting there.

Li Zi Yun said to Wang Yu, loud enough for everyone to hear, "They wanted to discuss something with you. Why don't you hear what they have to say?"

They opened and closed their mouth without saying a word. So Li Zi Yun continued, "Well since cat got their tongue, let me tell you why they came. They want me to leave you because our babies died"

Wang Yu said with a smile to Li Zi Yun, "Go and wait outside in the car. I will join you in a minute" and then he turned towards his family.

Wang Yu started speaking in a deadly calm voice "My babies died because of you(Wang Yu pointed at his grandmother), you(his mother) and me. And you (Wang Yu pointed a finger at Wang Yiran) when did you return? WHO THE HELL GAVE TO PERMISSION TO COME BACK?" and at the end his voice rang around the house.

Wang Yiran's voice was trembling as she said, "I completed a semester and came here for summer break"

Grandmother Wang yelled at her grandson, "WANG YU"

But Wang Yu was done with their drama. He said in a final tone, "You ruined my life by taking her to a temple. I even doubted if you were joining hands with someone else to do all this. So don't test my patience and leave this place"

Now they had no other choice than to leave the place and Wang Yu walked towards his car to join Li Zi Yun.

Wang Yu pulled Li Zi Yun closer to him and said, "Looks like you successfully pissed off my mother"

Li Zi Yun batted her eyelids innocently, "I'm not going to apologize for that"

"You don't have to"

Wang Yu sent a message to Assistant Liu Guang, "Check up on Yiran. As far as I know, she never completed her schooling. I want to know how she got into a university"
