267 Chapter 267

Unknown to both Wang Yu and his father, Mrs. Wang had silently made all preparation for Wang Yiran to come back. She had missed having her daughter around and now when Wang Yu and her father were concentrating on other issues, Mrs. Wang took the opportunity to bring Wang Yiran home.

Li Zi Yun could see that Wang Yu was getting more tired day by day. So when she visited him in the afternoon for lunch, she tried to help him as much as she can. Since Li Zi Yun was Wang Yu's personal secretary before, she found it easy to deal with the company matters. Wang Yu thought that this would be a good distraction for her, so that he let her work, but only for a few hours. He did not want Li Zi Yun to exhaust herself.

During the time when she was at home, Li Zi Yun's mother would visit often. Her dad accompanied her mother sometime, but most of the time it was her mother. Even Meng Sen Xi and Meng Jian came to visit Li Zi Yun and she was quite surprised when she heard that Meng Sen Xi had been her cousin all along. Li Zi Yun still could not understand why Meng Sen Xi proposed to her if he knew she was his cousin, but she did not bring up the topic since she was married now. She thought of talking about this some other time.

Meng Xuan Li always brought food for her, which she personally cooked or brought gifts for her, which she could not get for Li Zi Yun all these years. Meng Xuan Li stayed for long time to just chat with her daughter or simply to look at her daughter. She wanted to do so many things like go for shopping with Li Zi Yun, take her on a trip, go on a date with her daughter, but before all these Li Zi Yun had to be introduced into the family first and she was waiting for it. Meng Xuan Li knew about the risks involved and she was not even sure, if the man who killed her children was alive or if he would try to kill his daughter again, so she kept all these to herself to not put her daughter's life in danger. But she knew that sooner or later, Li Zi Yun should be introduced to the family.

Meng Xuan Li once brought up the topic, "what do you think about meeting your paternal grandparents?"

Li Zi Yun had been expecting this for some time now and she had already given some thought about it. So when her mother asked her, Li Zi Yun replied, "I am ready to meet them whenever you want"

Meng Xuan Li did not expect Li Zi Yun to agree so easily, "You're… your okay with that?"

Li Zi Yun nodded her head. She knew this would happen eventually and she was mentally ready to meet the Zhao family.

"You would be formally then introduced into the family and there will be a party for that"

Li Zi Yun knew that there would be a huge commotion if the news gets out that the Wang family and Zhao family are in laws, but it cannot be avoided or postponed for long. It was better if they announce it themselves instead of someone else finding out about it.

Meng Xuan Li then told Li Zi Yun about the Zhao family. Zhao Yu Zheng, Li Zi Yun's father has a younger brother who is married and has three children, two sons and a daughter Zhao Ming Mei. The first son was a doctor, the second son was part of the military, and therefore it was Zhao Ming Mei taking care of the entire family business apart from her father and uncle; but Grandfather Zhao was still the chairman of the company.

Meng Xuan Li assured Li Zi Yun that the family would love her especially her two brothers. Li Zi Yun was not much bothered, whether they liked her or not, she was family and they should accept it. She was not bothered even about Zhao Ming Mei. Li Zi Yun now understood why Zhao Ming Mei was fixated on Wang Yu. Since she was managing the Zhao family she would definitely only think of Wang Yu as someone who would be worthy of her.

When Li Zi Yun agreed to meet her paternal grandparents, Meng Xuan Li immediately informed her husband and a meeting was arranged for the very next day. Li Zi Yun asked her husband to accompany her and he agreed; he was not exactly thrilled to go to the Zhao family home but since Li Zi Yun wanted to go, he did not say no.

The next day when she entered the Zhao family home, Li Zi Yun could see the similarities between the Wang and Zhao family homes. Both had a vintage look and were decorated with antique stuff. Meng Xuan Li took Li Zi Yun straight to her father in law who was waiting in his study. Zhao Yu Zheng had only said that he had something important to say and called forth all the family members but did not mention anything else. So everyone was waiting quite curiously. Zhao Yu Zheng and Meng Xuan Li held more than 40% of the shares and the family thought that it must be something related to it.

Therefore, everyone was quite surprised when they saw Zhao Yu Zheng bring Li Zi Yun and Wang Yu along with him to the family meeting.

Zhao Yu Zheng had hidden the truth from his family all these years and he still was not sure, how they would take it. However, he went forth, "Father I wanted to introduce my daughter"

Mostly everyone in the family came to one conclusion; Zhao Yu Zheng must have had an affair. However, they also could not understand how Meng Xuan Li accepted Zhao Yu Zheng's child and smile happily as if nothing is wrong. They had seen that during the last few days, both Zhao Yu Zheng and Meng Xuan Li were happy and often spent most of their time outside but no one had asked them about it.

Everyone was looking at each other's face waiting for someone to say something. But it was Zhao Ming Mei who spoke first.

"Mom you already have me. How could you adopt someone like her? Did you think of me as your daughter at any time?"

Zhao Yu Zheng and Meng Xuan Li knelt before the elders.

Meng Xuan Li looked at her father in law and said, "Father in law sorry for hiding it all this time. We just wanted her to be alive and happy. She is our daughter Zi Yun"

Grandfather Zhao was shocked like everyone else. He did not expect his son to keep such a huge secret from him. "You knew all this time that your daughter was alive?"

While Grandfather Zhao was giving dead stares at Zhao Yu Zheng, Grandmother Zhao moved towards Li Zi Yun and touched her cheeks, "My granddaughter is very pretty"

Since Li Zi Yun was married to Wang Yu, the Zhao family had seen her often but had no idea that she was their family.

Li Zi Yun's uncle said to her, "You must have suffered a lot."

Zhao Ming Mei's brothers were happy for their uncle and welcomed Li Zi Yun warm heartedly. The second brother who was in the military said to Li Zi Yun, "Don't worry. You can complain to us if he even raises his voice to you. We will take care of everything." saying that he pressed Wang Yu's shoulders and Wang Yu gritted him teeth. His hold was firm and it felt like he was trying to crush his bones.

The younger Mrs. Zhao now understood why her sister in law always took extra care of Li Zi Yun. She was truly happy that at least now they were able to bring Li Zi Yun into the family. Meng Xuan Li always took care of Zhao Ming Mei from when she was little and so younger Mrs. Zhao thought it was now her turn to take care of Li Zi Yun. When younger Mrs. Zhao hugged Li Zi Yun, Li Zi Yun could see Zhao Ming Mei staring at her, shooting lasers from her eyes. Li Zi Yun instead smiled and winked at her and this sent Zhao Ming Mei storming outside the room.

The entire family was sitting around Li Zi Yun asking question, getting to know about her and giving her gifts one after the other. Li Zi Yun had not expected the Zhao family to be so welcoming. Her grandmother took every opportunity to taunt her mother that she was not able to meet her granddaughter because of her daughter in law, but other than that, everything else was peaceful.

Wang Yu was left to look at everything from the side, because no one left Li Zi Yun alone for a second and it was her cousins or parents or uncle or aunt or grandparents and someone was always there talking to Li Zi Yun non stop. Li Zi Yun would look at him and give him an apologetic smile, and that was enough for him. She thought about her husband even when she was surrounded by her family and Wang Yu was satisfied by that.

Zhao Ming Mei tried to make conversation with Wang Yu but was not ready to talk to her.

"Brother I was not expecting this"

"How can she be my cousin suddenly? I mean she was in the Li family and now she is my family. How is that possible?"

Zhao Ming Mei kept rambling on and on to whomever she could. Even her brothers did not bother her. They were excited to have Li Zi Yun in the family and they were used to Zhao Ming Mei's tantrum for everything so they did not heed to her.

At the end of the day, they did not want Li Zi Yun to leave and they somehow managed to convince her to stay in the Zhao family home. Wang Yu wanted to leave to the privacy of his home but he could not say anything yet again when so many people were asking them non stop to stay there.
