Chapter 33: Should I call it a date ?

" There are no excuses today. Come up ! " Brian forced Leo to stand and then went to Barbara.

" Get up, Come and join us.

" He insisted until they were both up and joined the rest.

Barbara looked up at him and put her arms on his shoulders. It felt uncomfortable to him but he eventually wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer to him.

They begun dancing side to side in the rhythm of the slow music.

" Looks like it's your time to dance like this. " Barbara said.

" Hmm, I look s tcared. Isn't it ? " He asked with a thin smile.

" I would say so. " She said.

" This is really hard for me. " He said making Barbara to laugh.

" I thought you always attend big parties with your previous bosses. " Said Barbara.

" Just feel the music. You will enjoy it. " She told him

The party finally came to the end. Barbara was about to get into her car when Leo came to her.

" Thanks for attending once again. " He said.

" It wasn't your birthday. Why are you thanking me ? " She asked.

" Hmm, You know Derrick is like my best friend. So.."

" Okay, I get it. I have to leave now.." she said with a smile and turned to leave.

While she walked away she thought that Leo was going to say something so she walked slowly but he just watched her until she had opened the car when he said.

" Can we meet up tomorrow ? " He asked.

Barbara couldn't believe this. He was Finally going to ask her out.

" Sure..." She said.

" Okay then. Good night.."

" Good night.." She replied and entered her car.

Sunday W4

It was in the evening when Barbara made it to the Hotel they had agreed to meet from. She came dressed in a pink off shoulder dress which was a body hug and heals which was abit different from her usual dressing style and she had applied makeup. The dress was short slightly above her knees and a she looked perfectly beautiful.

Leo was already there and he put on a narvy blue t shirt well tucked in black fitting pants and black Axel Arigato sneakers. His large muscular arms could be seen from the shirt and he looked so handsome.

When he saw Barbara coming he got up and smiled. She also smiled at him and went to sit down opposite him.

" Sorry, I came late. " She said.

" It's okay. Sit down ! " He said and sat back.

" So..Should I call this a date ? " Barbara asked in doubts.

" I am not sure about that. Because I've never been on one either. " Leo answered and they all laughed softly.

They ordered for something to eat and begun eating slowly. The truth all this made Leo feel uncomfortable and he could do was to try to smile.

On the other side of the Hotel was Myra, Raymond and Cissy. Raymond had called Myra to go out with him for dinner yo celebrate her victory in the Pearls Show.

They were having their dinner when one of the waitresses who was serving suddenly poured a drink on Myra's dress accidentally.

" Miss, I am so sorry. " The waitress apologizing immediately.

" It's okay. Dad, I will go and clean my dress first. " She said got up to go to the washroom. She had put on a cream jacket dress and black stilettos looking as beautiful as ever.

After the dinner, Barbara and Leo got up to leave but they were just up when Barbara saw Myra coming from the other side. She was coming from Leo's back so he couldn't see her.

' What is Myra doing here ? '

Barbara asked herself in her head.

' Maybe this happened to give me a chance to revenge. To hurt her the way she hurt me that day when Brian proposed to her before my eyes. '

Barbara said still in her head.

" What are you looking at ? " Leo asked and he was about to turn around when Barbara called him.

" Leo..." She called after making sure that Myra had seen her face and she grabbed Leo by the collars into a kiss.

Myra stopped after seeing them in disbelief. Her eyes opened wide in shock.

Leo was too moved by the sudden kiss but he didn't push her away because of confusion. Barbara slowly nibbled on his lower lip

while she tried hard to reach his height and seal their lips fully.

Myra observed them mouth opened and felt her body frozen.

' What is happening ? I am seeing a dream or I am just imagining things ? '

She asked herself quietly and watched them for like 10 seconds until she turned back and walked away before tears could find their way out from her eyes.

Leo who didn't even know what was happening found the guts to pull away from the kiss and held Barbara by the shoulders.

" Barbara, What's wrong with you ? We are in a public ! " Leo thought he was reminding.

Barbara released crocodile tears and said Leo. " Leo, I am sorry I couldn't control my self anymore. I love you..." She declared.

Even though her intentions for the kiss were wicked, She really loved him now. And she was confessing to him honestly.

Leo looked around and realized that the few few who were around had been looking at the them.

He held Myra's hand and pulled her out. He released her hand at last and stared at her.

" Barbara, Which stories are you making up now ? " He asked.

" Leo, I am sorry for bringing up this way. But for the time I have been with you at the hospital, with your friends and coming today...I realized that I love you. And I can't hide it anymore. " She said.

Leo passed his hands through his hair in confusion.

" Leo, I am sorry if this has annoyed you. I have ruined our date. I will leave now " Barbara said and turned to leave.

" Calm down ! " She heard his voice stop her and turned to look back at him.

" I am not angry. I am just shocked and surprised. " He said and went closer to her.
