Chapter 32: I love you Leo

" Okay, I understand that. But aren't you happy for me ? " She asked.

" Happy about what ? " He posed back.

" That I won the Show ? " She asked.

" Anything personal to you , I don't care. " He answered crushing down her heart and she couldn't take it anymore.

" Leo, For how long are you going to act like this towards me ? " She asked.

" Ms Myra, You are my boss. " He said.

" So does that mean we can't be friends ? And talk normally like other people do ? " Myra asked.

Leo chuckled. " You and I being friends ? Friends for what ? " He asked.

" Why do you dislike me like that much ? " she asked in perplex.

" I don't dislike you. I just have nothing to do with a pretender like you. " He said.

Myra sighed wondering how to explain herself to him.

" Leo, I don't know why you have that attitude towards me. But i have never pretended to be who I am not. " She said.

" And you are adding lies on top of your pretence..You wanna show everyone that you are good which you are not. " He said.

This made Myra to release a tear and she bit her lower lip in confusion.

" I know, I may not have treated you the first time you came as a bodyguard. But...when you were shot that Friday, I was so worried about you. I wanted to stay over and watch you the whole night until you were conscious, But...my dad sent me home because he was worried about me. That night I couldn't even catch sleep, I could not stop thinking about the number of people that are sacrificing their lives for me. " By the time she finished telling him this tears were coming from her eyes.

Leo seemed to have been taken by her words and he gave her a deep look while she said this.

" I was really so worried even when I came to the hospital you..."

" Stop the act ! " Leo cut her midway and she stared at him with her wet eyes.

" It's getting late...Go to sleep. " He told her and turned to leave.

" I love you Leo. " Myra confessed to him after gathering the energy to speak.

Leo was shocked by her sudden confession and he turned to look at her. She gazed at him with seriousness and honesty in her eyes but then he remembered Barbara's words.

' One thing about Myra, When there's something she wants, She always find a way to have it. '

" I am not interested ! " Leo replied rudely.

" Why ? Am I not attractive enough ? " She questioned not believing.

" I am not like those other men..If you think that you can use your beauty to get everything, You are wrong. " Leo answered and left her there.

Myra dried off her tears after realizing that she was crying and after this she got to open the door. She went directly to the drink shelf where she got a bottle of wine and a glass which after she sat down on the couch and begun drinking one glass by one.

Leo had a shower and had his dinner. He had just entered the bed when he remembered what Myra just told him.

' She is such a hypocrite ! ' He concluded and slept off.

Thursday W3

Myra didn't dare interact with Leo for the rest of the days and this give him more time to interact with Barbara and get closer to her.

After One week

Friday W4

It was almost time for quitting and Barbara was With Myra in her Office.

" Finally it's weekend. " Myra jubilated after packing things in her bag.

" Yeah. There's a way this week has been fast.." Barbara remarked.

" Just know, How about we go and visit Mark tomorrow ? " Myra asked.

" Oops, Tomorrow I will be busy. " Barbara put a question mark on Myra's face

" Busy with what ? " Myra couldn't resist asking.

" One of Leo's friends is celebrating his birthday so I was invited to go there. " Barbara said.

Myra was surprised to hear this.

" So, I will there. They asked me to help organize the place.." Barbara continued.

" I didn't know that you and Leo are that close . " Myra remarked.

" We aren't that close but he is sweet behind his cold look. " Barbara said this intentionally to hurt Myra.

" You know he introduced me to his best friends Derrick, Eric and Brian. They are all stubborn and dirty minded. Can you believe they think I am dating him ? " Barbara said all these to see Myra's expression.

At first she looked surprised and melancholy but then she smiled.

" I didn't know that he is as sweet as you say. " She said.

' You must be angry '

Barbara thought and smiled back.

" Yes he is so sweet to the people he is used to. " Barbara said.

" It's getting late. Let's go home.." Myra said and they left the Office.

Leo followed after them but Barbara got off midway to her home.

Saturday W5

Derrick was at his house with his wife when Eric and Brian came along with Leo and lots of gifts in their hands. There were a few friends of Derrick's wife.

They were in the middle of the party when Barbara arrived and joined them.

The begun the celebration with cutting of the cake and after they had a group dinner. After the dinner they had drinks and Brian brought the boomplayer and played slow music.

" So guys, For Derrick's life, We are going to have a couple dance " He declared and went to pick one of Derrick's wife's friends.

" Why not ? " Derrick asked and picked his wife.

Eric also picked another friend and Barbara found herself remaining there alone with Leo.

The rest begun dancing to the slow music.

Leo made himself busy with the drinks. Barbara thought he was going to pick her but she was disappointed when didn't move.

" Guys, What are you guys still doing ? Come and join us ! " Brian noticed them.

" I don't dance. You know..." Leo mattered.

" There are no excuses today. Come up ! "
