"Uncle, he is not my husband but a friend. My friend is currently injured. He was shot by someone I don't know him, is Doctor Indira at home?" Maya asked with her body slightly tilted, unable to hold Edgar's tall body any longer.

"Indira is inside. Come on... I'll help carry him inside." said the man immediately helping to support Edgar's body.

"Just go to the room, Miss." The man said bringing Edgar to the patient's room.

With Maya's help, the man laid Edgar on the bed.

"Wait here, I will call Indira." The man said leaving the room to call Indira.

While waiting for Doctor Indira to come, Maya cleaned Edgar's face with her hands.

Only this time Maya could observe Edgar's face. Seeing Edgar's face made Maya's desire rise instantly, wanting to bite Edgar's sexy lips

"It turns out that you are handsome too, especially with seductive lips like that, but it's a shame in my eyes you are a stupid man who can't understand a woman." Maya said while looking at Edgar's face then smiled to herself.

"Where is the injured man, Daddy?!"

Suddenly Maya was startled by the voice of a woman who entered the room while pointing a gun at her.

"There he is." The man said, pointing at Edgar.

"What is this??!! Why are you carrying a weapon?!" Maya asked slightly backing away covering Edgar with her body.

"Raise your hand! who are you?!! why did he get shot? is he a criminal?" asked the woman as she approached, still aiming her gun at Maya.

"Have I told everything to that Uncle? I need Doctor Indira to help my friend. He could die if not immediately help. Where is Doctor Indira." Maya said while swallowing her saliva feeling scared too with the gun that was pointed at her.

"Hurry back!! Daddy! hold that woman!!" said the woman to her father.

"Indira, listen me. Daddy, well know the face of a bad person and not. They need our help." said the uncle patiently.

"We have to stay alert, Dad." Indira said getting closer to Edgar.

When she got close to Edgar and saw his face, Indira's face turned pale and immediately threw her gun away.

"Allan!! Allan!!? is this really you?!! what happened to you?!" Indira said frantically checking Edgar's condition by pressing Edgar's veins.

"Thank goodness Allan is still alive!! where did Allan get injured?" asked Indira looking at Maya briefly then feeling Edgar's entire body.

"The wound is on the upper right back." Maya said still standing in her place not understanding what Indira just said.

"Why did the Doctor call Edgar by the name Allan? who is allan? And what is the doctor's relationship with Allan?" Maya asked with a frown.

Immediately Indira examined Edgar's wound very seriously.

"Dad...we have to take him to the hospital. The bullet was lodged too deep." Indira said with a worried face.

"Alright, I'll take the car out first." said Rahmat, rushing to get the car ready.

"Miss what's your name? And how did Allan get shot?" asked Indira with a serious face.

"My name is Maya, and he's not Allan. He is Sham, my friend. He was shot by some people I didn't know." Maya said, unable to tell the truth to Indira that Edgar had been shot by several police officers who were chasing him.

Maya thinks she still can't trust Indira, and Maya doesn't want Indira to give up on her intention to help Edgar if she finds out that Edgar is in trouble with the police.

Moreover, Maya had seen Rahmat's photo on the wall of the room that he was a police officer.

"Sham?? listen Maya, he's not Sham but Allan. He's my ex-girlfriend, a cop. Several years ago, Sham got a secret assignment and was placed outside the city. After his job transfer, I've lost contact with him. To this day I don't know where Allan is anymore. And thank God I've found it." Indira said with a sad look on her face.

Maya pressed her temples, suddenly her body felt hot.

"I'm dead!! who do I trust now? Edgar or this woman? if Edgar is Allan then he's a cop. But, how can Allan be a fugitive from the police if he is a policeman himself" Maya asked herself while looking at Indira who was cleaning the blood on Edgar's back.

"Indira! Is the car ready outside? do we bring Allan now?" asked Rahmat approaching Indira.

"Let's go now Daddy, I've stopped the bleeding for a while. But I have to get the bullet that's inside Allan's back." said Indira while helping Rahmat carry Edgar into the car.

"Let Syam lie in my lap, Doctor." Maya said with a wary mind.

Indira looked at Maya then nodded her head.

"Come in quickly." Indira said with a complicated look as if she didn't want Maya to be so close to Edgar.

Ignoring Indira's disapproving gaze, Maya got into the car first and sat waiting for Edgar to enter with Rahmat's help.

After Edgar lay in her lap, Maya looked at Rahmat and Indira who were sitting in the front.

Unbeknownst to Rahmat and Indira, Maya immediately reached into Edgar's back trouser pocket and took Edgar's wallet so that Indira wouldn't know Edgar's identity.

Maya calmly straightened her back after putting Edgar's wallet in her trouser pocket.

After saving Edgar's wallet, Maya sat back quietly while looking at Indira and Rahmat who were focused on sitting in front.

Arriving at the hospital, Maya saw Indira and Rahmat getting out of the car and walking quickly to the emergency room.

Soon they returned with three nurses carrying gurneys.

"Maya, lift Allan's head, let the nurse take him into the operating room." Indira said with a serious face.

Immediately Maya helped the three nurses move Edgar onto the gurney. Soon Indira and the three nurses brought Edgar into the operating room.

"Miss Maya, to fill in Allan's history data. Does Miss Maya keep Allan's identity?" Rahmat asked with a full look.

"I don't know Uncle, maybe Syam's wallet fell or he didn't bring it. I don't know much about it. I didn't bring my wallet." Maya said hoping Rahmat didn't know Edgar's wallet was in the side pocket of her pants that Edgar had lent her.

For a moment Rahmat was silent, then returned to the Administration.

Maya took a deep breath after Rahmat moved away from her.
