Chapter 58 Kara's Wrath

This was a brutal massacre.

From the beginning of the battle, this completely mismatched fight had fallen into a one-sided situation.

Facing the Kryptonian technology used by General Zod, the artillery and grenades used by the armies on Earth were like primitive wooden sticks in the hands of cavemen. With such powerful weapons unveiled, the human armies were instantly silenced, although they kept up the useless counterattacks. But everyone understood one thing - from the beginning, the outcome of this battle had already been decided.

Amidst the flames bursting out from countless explosions, General Zod walked out from the platform extending from his ship, appreciating the massacre before him. His expression was extremely indifferent, as if these deaths did not cause the slightest ripple in his heart.

In fact, he was rather tired, because killing these helpless humans brought him no sense of satisfaction. On the contrary, it only made him feel like he was wasting time.

"Go, make it quick," General Zod spoke, his voice somewhat hoarse, but his tone contained a domineering aura that no one dared disobey.

By General Zod's side, a woman with short black hair immediately answered, and then directly leapt down from the airship, joining the chaotic battlefield.

There, a girl wearing a red and blue costume, with a red cape fluttering behind her, was hovering with eyes full of hatred fixed on him. Even General Zod couldn't help but be somewhat surprised by the killing intent almost overflowing from the girl's eyes.

"Kara Zor-El, we have been waiting for you for a long time," General Zod looked at the girl, and his expression as cold as an iceberg finally changed a little. Unlike the killing intent in Kara's eyes, his eyes revealed a hint of delight.

Seeing that Kara ignored him, General Zod didn't mind. He just talked to himself, "This attack was just a test on Earth. The Genesis Engine still needs tuning, I was thinking of launching the final battle tomorrow, then start transforming Earth. Only by destroying this world can our world be reborn."

Kara clenched her teeth tightly. Her voice trembling, she slowly uttered her first sentence,

"Where is my brother?"

Hearing this question, General Zod finally understood where her killing intent came from.

"It seems you also know about it, so I won't hide it from you. Your uncle - Jor-El, he hid a key that could revive Krypton in a child. All the genetic data and matter of Kryptonians were encoded into the child's DNA and sent to Earth in an escape pod."

"Where...is...my...brother?"

Originally after hearing about her brother from Austin, aside from being filled with hatred for General Zod, Kara even had a glimmer of hope. She didn't want to believe her brother was really dead.

But seeing General Zod's expression now, Kara's heart sank to the bottom.

"We intercepted his space pod, but he was not the one we were looking for. I'm afraid, Kara Zor-El, that the child didn't make it..."

Before General Zod could finish, he suddenly saw a faint red glow emerging from Kara's eyes as tremendous energy swiftly gathered in her eyes. The sense of threat from that destructive energy made even General Zod not dare underestimate it.

"Ahhhhhh-!"

A shrill cry spread across the battlefield.

Resentment, distortion, hatred, unwillingness... All the negative emotions peaked! Then in the next moment, everything burst out with the crimson laser beam.

The tremendous force blasted General Zod flying away. Following the path of the heat vision, General Zod was bombarded from top to bottom by the destructive power at a speed impossible to see with the naked eye, straight from the ship down to the ground.

The violent energy reaction instantly attracted everyone's attention on the entire battlefield.

General Zod lay in a huge crater, parts of the armor on his arms cracked and fell off, with residual red energy on it. Traces left by the laser heat vision bombardment lingered around him.

"General!"

Seeing this, Faora immediately abandoned continuing the attack on the helpless humans and turned to rescue him. She already knew the identity of the attacker - it was their target for coming here, Kara carrying the Codex of Krypton.

Although Faora didn't feel this half-grown girl could injure General Zod, as his deputy, she absolutely could not tolerate her general being ambushed by the enemy.

Thinking so, she stomped heavily on the ground, and her whole body took off into the air.

But before she could make a move, three lightning bolts directly caught up to her!
