Twenty-sixth chapter

After we stopped crying, we all went up to Noel's room.

"Are you want to play?" He asked with a smile.

"I need to talk to you." Liz said. "In private." She looked at me in fear, but I just nodded with a smile and went down to watch a movie. An hour later they came down and sat down next to me. Liz sat on my left and Noel sat on my right. Liz leaned on me again, but I just kept watching the movie. She grabbed my left hand and put it around her neck. I wanted to take my hand away because Noel could see it, but she folded our fingers. I looked fearfully at Noel, who was watching the film with great empathy and wasn't looking at us. She started stroking my palm with her thumb. The cold ran down on my ridge. It is possible that she felt it because she then drew circles. She stopped after a few minutes and I began to draw such circles on her palm. She took her hand in laughter. Would Liz be so tickling? Noel turned to her questioningly, but he shrugged and turned back to the TV. Then we just continued watching TV.

We didn't even notice that time had passed just when Alex came in that they had to leave. Liz stood up in fear and walked away.

"The doors will be closed." Alex shouted.

"Ok." Noel shouted.

I spent most of my time in Noel's room. Meanwhile Paul called. Noel studied and I went down to do my homework. I drank a glass of water in the kitchen when Liz and Alex arrived. Liz came in the door, but she didn't look here. She passed the door. I put down my glass and headed for the living room where I heard someone went in. Liz sat there on the couch and cried with her head buried in the palm of her hands. I sat next to her and hugged her. After she felt that I was there, hugged me back tightly. I felt the shoulder of my t-shirt start to get wet, but it didn't bother me. I could wonder what might have triggered this from Liz. After a few minutes she relaxed her grip.

"He will come to school on Wednesday." She started to whisper. "Nobody can help." She sobbed. I took out my phone and I called Paul.

"Is there something wrong?" Paul asked without greeting. Liz leaned over, wiped her eyes, and looked at me questioningly.

"I need security guards. At least five. Urgently." I said.

"I have to report this to your father." He said.

"No. Don't tell him anything about it! I'm sure he will command me to go home."

"I may lose my job!" He said with a raised voice.

"Paul. Please! I'll suggest for your salary to be raised." He sighed. "Please!" I pleaded.

"If you order it. I call them. They arrive one of the hotels until tonight and they will go in the morning to Alex's house." He said.

"Thank you!" I said with a smile and hang up the phone.

I smiled at Liz. She looked down at her hands and began to poke the edge of her shirt.

"Thank you! Will they be there at school too?" She asked.

"Everywhere. No way back. Maybe one of them should sleep in your room to protect you." I smiled.

"I hope not." She smiled too.

Then Liz asked me what it is like to live in a castle, so I told her a little about it.

"It's sucks." She said. "I mean cool partly but sucks." I nodded.

"It is my responsibility." I said.

"Have you never wanted a normal life?" I shook my head.

"I had never been outside the castle before. I don't know the habits of average people." I said.

"How do you like it?" She asked.

"Believe me I have never felt as much emotion in my life so far as I have in these two weeks." I said.

"I try to change." She said shyly.

"You are on the right track." I said.

"Thanks to you." She smiled. I smiled too. We were still looking at each other for a while, but I turned away in confusion.

"Have you studied yet?" I asked without looking at her.

"Shit! Math. Can you help me?" I nodded. "I'll be back."

After I helped her to do her homework.

"Let's watch a movie!" She said.

"Theoretically there is a fairy tale called Hazbin Hotel which isn't really a fairy tale. The others tell me about it, but I didn't understand. Do you want to watch it?" I shrugged.

"If you want." I said.

"I will make popcorn. Do you want cheese popcorn or salty popcorn?" I bowed my head confused. "Sorry! I forget it. Come with me!" I looked up and smiled.

After we made it, we went to the living room and Liz turned on the movie. It's really not a fairy tale. The luck was that Noel wasn't here and couldn't hear these words. Liz commented sometimes. Alright. She commented a lot many times, but it wasn't bother me.

"It was interesting." She said finally.

"It was good. Are there several parts of that?"

"So far this is the only." She looked at her phone. "Did you like it so much?" I nodded with a smile. "Who was your favorite character?"

"Angel Dust." She opened her mouth but didn't say anything for a little time. "Is it serious?" I nodded. "I thought Vaggie or Charlie." She said.

"Why?" I frowned.

"They like each other. This is my assumption. Vaggie seems to do everything for Charlie. She is like you." She said. I blushed.

"What are you doing?" Noel opened the door and walked next to the couch.

"Did you eat popcorn and you didn't even leave some piece for me?" He asked in disbelief and folded his arms angrily.

"You can do it for yourself." Liz said without looking at him.

"But it's not that delicious if I make it." He pursed his lips. Liz sighed.

"Do I for you?" She asked.

"Cheese popcorn. Thank you!" He smiled.

Liz stood up and walked out. Noel sat down next to me and we watched TV until then.

"Here it is!" Liz gave him a bowl.

"It's not even cheesy." Noel said indignantly.

"I forget to mention." Liz touched her forehead and looked like as something come to her mind. "We ate the last one." She grinned.

Noel grabbed some popcorn and throw them at Liz. Liz opened her mouth and leaning over my legs grabbed some and throw them at Noel. They tossed each other, which could have been funny if you hadn't got some on your face and your hair. I stood up quickly and headed for the bathroom to get rid of all which landed in my hair. After I thought I was no longer have one somewhere, I stepped out the door. Alex had just come down the stairs and wanted to go into the living room, but I stood in front of him.

"Hi." I smiled embarrassingly.

"Hi." He said weirdly and tried to reach the door handle, but I preceded him.

"We have a nice day, don't we?" I asked.

"Do you have popcorn in your hair?" He asked and took it. Dammit!

"No?" I asked. He sighed.

"Tell them to come to eat. I don't know what they're doing, but if I go to the living room, I would like to everything be clean." I nodded. He turned around and walk away. They are started to laugh in the living room. When I saw them I started to laughing too.

"I have to wash my hair again." She whimpered.

"Free perfume." He said. She rolled her eyes.

"Clean up!" Liz said.

"Me?" Noel asked.

"You started it." She said.

"But you continue!" He argued.

"You wasted it." She said.

"You can eat it from the floor." He said.

"Three-second rule. It's already rubbish, like you." She said and stretched out her tongue.

"Hey!" He said indignantly.

I went there and started collecting the pieces.

"You are the gust. I will do it." Noel said and he took the pieces out of my hands.

"You are so kind." Liz said. I looked at her, raised my eyebrows and then looked at the other pieces, and looked back to her.

"I see. I do too." She said. I smiled.

"It wasn't hard right?" I asked finally. She rolled her eyes but didn't say anything.

I checked my phone after dinner. Jason called me three times. The first was three hours ago. I called him.

"Why do you need security guards?" He asked without questioning.

"Hi Jason. I'm fine too." I said.

"Tell me!" He said.

"I think we should rather talk about the fact that you didn't call me or picked up my calls last week. I thought I was important for you." I said.

"You are important for me. If you knew how much so I am interested what's wrong." I sighed.

"If you really want to know I don't need the guards. They need to protect Liz."

"Are you talking about Liz who kissed you?" He asked indignantly.

"Yeah." I said.

"It's not normal." He hung up the phone.

Even after I want to sleep but this sentence rang in my ears. I can't believe he said that, my friend, my only friend.

In the morning I had no idea what was more confusing, that someone was constantly ringing the bell or that I could barely breathe due to Liz. How did she get here at all? It's not normal. Jason's words came to my mind. If he could see what I see. I sighed. It's not my life. Liz growled and moved.

"Liz get up!" I pushed her off me. "The guards came." I said.

"Shit!" She stood up but stopped because we heard that someone was come down the stairs.

"I'm coming." Alex shouted.

"Didn't you tell him?" Liz whispered.

"I thought you did." I whispered too.

Someone approached here with very loud footsteps.

"Why are the security guards on the doorstep who claim you assigned them here?" Alex asked nervously.

"Because of me." Liz said. He turned to her. "I said her what happened. She wanted to help me."

"Other times just tell me. Ok? It's dangerous. You are lucky that I know who Josh is." He took a deep breath. "I let them in. Change clothes!" He said and walked away. Liz followed him.

I quickly changed my clothes. I heard a conversation in the kitchen, and I went in there. Five strangers looked at me.

"Princess." They said and bowed.

"Thank you for coming. I appreciate it." I said.

"Don't thank us! This is our job." The one said out of five. I nodded. "Let me introduce us! I am Josh. He is Ashton, Travis, Harry and George.

"I need two man in the school." I said.

"Harry and Travis. They are the youngest." John said.

"Perfect!" I said.

"Good…Who are you?" Noel stepped in the kitchen and looked at the strangers in amazement.

"Security guards are needed to protect Liz if Aaron accidentally will show up." I said.

"Liz?" Travis asked weirdly. "We have been ordered to protect you."

"I knew that if I told Paul that not me who need protection when he didn't help me. I want you to keep that secret."

"As you wish." Ashton said.

"Thank you!" I said.

"Hi." Liz appeared and stood next to me.

"You need to protect her from a guy." I said.

"From a guy?" Harry asked. "Is it some kind of harassment or love affair?"

"The last one but not completely." Alex said.

"Can you show us a picture about him?" Travis asked. Liz took out her phone and showed it to Travis and the others.

"How long should we be here? If no one knows we're here sooner or later someone will show up that we miss." George said. I looked at Liz and she looked at me.

"I have no idea." I said.
