Modern Family: I want Freedom

My name doesn't need to be known. I died as someone who didn't enjoy life. I missed everything. Luckily God gave me a second chance in another universe. In that universe I decided not to give a fu*k about the rules. I decided to do what I wanted to do and enjoy life. I was assisted in that as I got a system, which rewarded me with various character templates of people like Neil Caffrey, Sherlock Holmes, Lupin, and many others. Watch me live my life to the fullest as Ethan Alvarez. The main universe will probably be Modern Family with many other TV series or movies mixed in it like Brooklyn 99. You can recommend various movies or series and I will try to build them into the novel. The universe will not be supernatural. If you want it to be supernatural I can try to add it. You can not only choose the TV series or Movies but also recommend various templates for the MC. A little introduction about the MC is in the first chapter. (author here: I really overdid it at the beginning, but it will get better after the first 7 chapters(at least that is what I think and hope))

Enjoying the time

I am currently lying in the infinity pool looking at the sun coming up. I just let myself float in the water and focused only on the rain.

I often did this. It may mean I was vulnerable, but I was enjoying this moment every day.

Suddenly I got wet. Touch was the only thing you couldn't turn off.

I looked over and saw Haley jump into the pool.

"What are you doing here this early?", I was confused. She normally wouldn't wake up this early. She loved to sleep late.

"I woke up and couldn't sleep anymore. I often do this on holidays. Anyways what are you doing? Watching the sunrise?", Haley asked me.

"Yes want to watch with me?"

"Of course"

"I will just drive the pool up. With that we can better lie down", I told her. Shortly after I swam to the edge of the pool and jumped up. I walked towards the nearby table and drove the pool up to a comfortable depth in which you could lie down.

I walked to the pool again. Now I could easily walk in it. I went towards Haley and lay down beside her.

"The sun really is a beautiful thing", Haley said while snuggling into my arms.

"True", I replied.

"rrrrrr", the answer I got was snoring instead. Somehow Haley instantly fell asleep.

Now I was stuck. I couldn't move as Haley would probably wake up. Luckily I had enough strength and could last a while in this pretty uncomfortable position.

About 2 hours later Haley finally woke up.

"Good morning", I greeted her again.

"Why are you in my bed Ethan?"; Haley asked sleepily.

"You went towards the pool and fell asleep here. Remember?"

"Ohhh. Sorry Ethan"

"No problem"

After she apologized we went to get breakfast.

We were the first ones there. The 5-star cook was already cooking some delicious things.

Soon after everyone came.

We ate at about 8 a.m.

After that, we all went towards the outside.

Jay, Gloria, Mitchell, Cam, and Lily were in the garden and me, the Dunphys and Manny went down towards the beach

It was a small private beach with access to the ocean.

Me and Haley lay down on the lounge chairs sunbathing, while Claire and Manny were reading a book. Luke and Phil were playing in the ocean.

This went on for the entire morning until it was lunchtime.

We went up again.

Again a delicious meal.

After that, we all went to the pool and started playing water polo.

We lost 3 balls due to them falling down, but it was worth it. It was fun.

We played the whole afternoon

When it was dinner time we went towards the pavilion.

This was where we ate dinner. It was a beautiful experience.

"Guys do you wanna watch some movies?", I asked.

"I would love to", Cam said.

The rest also agreed.

Due to that we soon went into the living room and started watching some good Romantic movies suitable for Valentine's Day. They were mostly RomComs though due to Luke and Manny.

At about 11 p.m. we all went to our beds and started sleeping. We needed energy for the next day.

I fell asleep in what felt like a second.

The next day I woke up and decided to look at the sunrise again.

Instead of going into the pool I laid down on one of the lounge chairs this time.

Haley too woke up at that time and put our two chairs together and laid down beside me.

Almost the same thing as yesterday, but this time I too fell asleep.

"How late is it?", I asked sleepily trying to open my eyes, but the burning sun was a big obstacle.

"10 a.m. boy", Jay answered from behind me.

"Thanks, Jay"

We skipped breakfast, but that didn't matter. We could just tell the cook to make another one or wait for lunch.

I started to lie down again. This time only sunbathing.

Haley soon woke up too.

We both started sunbathing.

When it was lunchtime we both stood up and walked towards the eating area.

"ha ha", suddenly Haley started to laugh.

"What's wrong?", I asked her confusedly looking all over me thinking I had something plastered on me.

"You have a Haley imprint on you", she said while laughing.

I looked at the mirror and I really had a little imprint of Haley on me. Even though no one could recognize Haley on it.

I should have known that. We both sunbathed and Haley was in my arms.

It didn't take long and Jay and Gloria came to the lunching table.

"Where are the rest?", I asked.

"They went to the waterpark nearby", Gloria answered my question.

After eating we all went back to sunbathing.

A while after me, Haley, and Gloria all started swimming together.

Jay also joined in soon after wanting to compete together.

It was expected. I won in the end.

We four all spent the rest of the afternoon together.

I noticed my relationship with the Pritchetts and Tuckers starting to get better and better. I could be called a good family friend at this point in time.

I was happy about that.

When we went to get dinner the others also came back. The rest program was the same as yesterday.

Like this, we all enjoyed the holidays. I felt my relationship with everyone getting closer.

The joy lasted long, but we soon departed from the beautiful island of Bali and flew back towards Los Angeles.

Like I said last time.

Holidays are a big joy every time, but the joy when you get back home is equally good.

Somehow contradicting, but it is true.

Like that, my usual daily life started again.

Having a few calls with Barney sometimes about the sales of my recently released Album and everything.

It seems that my new album is massively popular.

I liked the feeling of seeing that.
