Gang involvement

Jules saw Vice Leader Yusif and Boss Bruno staring at one another.

The interesting thing was that Boss Bruno frowned at him while the vice leader smiled at him.

He scratched his head, not knowing what was going on between them. However, he was not the only one they asked their region, as he saw those two guys walking towards many players, asking them the same question.

If he was right, most of the people they were asking got a C or higher grade. With each revelation, he noticed shifts in their reactions.

None of them were trying to mask their emotions. He had a feeling that it was the opposite. They wanted everyone to see their reaction.

Even the vice leader, who usually maintained a stoic face, had a lively expression on his face. But he still wore those sunglasses, even in the canteen.

The more he looked at the scene, the more confused he became. 'Are they going to target players based on the area?'

He was not sure if that was their intention or if it was a task given to them by higher-ups who were interested in high-grade players.

Things were going in more unfamiliar directions. In his previous life, all of them were careless and rowdy, but this time, things were more organized.

It was not an unwelcome development in his eyes, but he knew overall it was bad for everyone else in the group.

The problem with so much guild attention was the lack of freedom. He knew that without uniqueness, no one could reach the higher stage, and following the command would not give you that uniqueness.

He was well familiar with the trap that awaited them. He shook his head. There was nothing for him to worry about, as long as they did not interfere with him.

After 10 minutes of asking about everyone, Boss Bruno called all the B ranks and C ranks from the southern and 6th regions toward the right side.

While the vice leader called those who started in the northern and western regions.

Two of the B ranks moved to Boss Bruno's side. He knew one guy was from the 6th region, but he did not know if the other guy was from the same region or the south side.

As for the vice leader's side, he was the only one from the B ranks, as none called the guys from the central region.

It was the same for the C ranks. Four out of thirteen went to Boss Bruno's side. Five went to the vice leader's side, and the other four were in the eastern and central regions that no one called.

As he walked toward the left side of the canteen, he realized the gang was involved in this. The only reason they did not call those from the central and eastern regions was because of empires.

He remembered the map Teacher Ron had shown, and both the east and center regions were full of meeting points. The gang should have many rulers in the empires, and he was sure that someone from the gang would directly contact them within the game.

As he moved past a few who were standing in the way, he blinked as he saw multiple tables cluster together, surrounded by chairs.

He turned back and looked at the other end, and sure enough, it was the same on the other side.

'When did they do this?' He was at a loss. So much happened in the canteen, and he did not even notice it. 'Shit,' he rubbed his eyes as he was acting the same as when he was a kingdom-level ruler where no one would dare to disturb him. He bit his tongue a little, using that pain to remind himself that things were not the same.

It was a habit he developed in the early group days to always inflict a minor injury to remind himself of the important stuff.

The pain worked as he glanced at others walking around him. Most of them looked as clueless as him.

They did not have to wait much as the vice leader pointed toward the chair with a smile on his face. "Sit down."

That smile freaked him out a little, as he was not used to it. Unlike Boss Bruno's rowdy behavior, who was upfront about his feelings, the vice leader Yusif was more of the hiding type.

After staying for so many years in the group, he knew that the vice leader was the cautious type. Still, he developed such authority that he could curse everyone in the group without creating any conflict.

Truth be told, in the initial days, he always thought that their group would be better in the vice leader's hands, but with time, his opinion changed.

He stopped thinking about them as the vice leader sat just next to his chair.

These two old members were standing behind the vice leader like some guards. He looked at the other side from the corner of his eyes, and 3–4 members were also standing behind Boss Bruno.

It was clear these guys had already decided who they would support.

The vice leader removed his sunglasses and said in a relaxed tone, "No need to be tense, guys. Things are not the same as outside, and here we are all comrades on an equal level."

Everyone nodded their heads while not daring to look at the vice leader. Not minding them much, the vice leader pulled out his phone and showed them a few contact numbers. "This many higher players contacted me, and all of them were from the northern and western regions."

Everyone looked up with a shine in their eyes.

The vice leader continued with a smile, "The experienced gang players knew it would be tough for us to learn so many things. That's why they gave me some important information about these regions. All this information will help us progress faster in the game."

"Bhai? What did they say?" One of the old members, who was a C rank, asked in excitement.

"No need to rush. I called you guys here to share the same thing. But first," the vice leader pulled out a tablet and opened the Planet Nex map.

He zoomed in on the northern and western sides, and, with a double tap, all the political borders appeared on the map. "It's better if you guys point out your approximate locations on the map first."
