August 17 2000
I sighed in relief. The pain subsided and the wails of a baby filled the air. The doctor handed me a small baby in a knitted white blanket. I gazed upon my baby, the labor of my love. She had pale skin like her father. Thick Blonde hair so light it was silver. Finally 2 innocent eyes 1 steely grey with swipes of storm blue and 1 shocking green with a hazel ring around the iris. I shrieked and almost threw the baby.
"A monster" I cried "get it away"
Draco came bursting through the door to see what was wrong. Tears ran down my face as I turned redder and redder.
"You did this" I yelled at him, holding the baby up, "you made a monster, she is a freak. How will people react. We will be shunned from society outcasts. Worst of all poor" I screamed shoving the baby at him.
"What is wrong with you, your scaring her" he says
"Get it away from me" I yell again.
Draco's POV
"Hi little baby" I cooed the baby smiled and snuggled against my shoulder. I rummaged around my pocket. My had emerged clutched around a black velvet box. Inside was a silver charm bracelet. It was empty.
"I'll get you a charm for every mile stone and every adventure" I tell her slipping it on. With a quick charm to make it expand with her wrist it was done.
"Here" I tell her adding the first charm, a silver charm bearing the initials CNM, for Casseida Narcissa Malfoy
"Mr.Malfoy, your wife would like to see the baby, I suggest you get some rest" The doctor said interrupting our moment. I handed the baby to the doctor and retired to my room.
Astorias POV
It was placed in a crib beside me. I grabbed the doctor by the collar and pull him down wand to his neck.
"Take this baby away, tell everyone it's dead" I whisper harshly, "I never want to see it again, if you fail you die" I spit. The doctor stumbled back as I release his collar
"Go now" I roar wand still pointed at his chest. The doctor grabs the baby and scurries out of the room like a mouse. Satisfied I drift to sleep. I can't believe I went through that torture to be given a monster I think bitterly.
August 18th 2000
I woke up to Draco screaming at me
"What did you do" He tells waving the daily Prophet around.
"What do you mean love" I say acting surprised. He throws the newspaper down on my lap
Next Malfoy Heir Dies Hours After Birth
Yesterday, Astoria and Draco Malfoy welcomed a baby into the world. Nothing much is known about the next heir as they died before a public announcement could be made. All we know that this is baby number 5 in a long bout of infertility and miscarriage. It makes us wonder is this the end of the Malfoy line?
I read trying to avoid smiling, "
"dear I told you last night our daughter was born dead" I say sympathetically, "you must be tired"
"I'm not tired, What did you do with Casseida" He bellows, "your crazy. What did you do with our daughter"
"Nothing dear" I say lagging his shoulder. He looks at me with tears running down his face.
"Your not welcome back at the manor. We are through, stay away from me. I'll find her if it's the last thing I do" Draco roared before storming off baby blanket clutched to his chest. I let out a dry laugh knowing he'd never find her she's gone.
