Chapter 3: My daughter

Draco's POV

I had no pictures no proof and no idea were my daughter went. I stalked around the neighborhood searching and listening for my baby. An entire year I looked through adoption records missing children reports to no avail. Each night I went home and sulked in my bedroom looking through baby clothes and ultrasounds. I stayed up all night trying locating charms. Days went by so fast and before I knew it the day of, August 18th came. I woke up with renewed energy, I had to find her today, birthday luck. I followed my usual routine read the paper, before heading to all the local playgrounds, Sweetshops, Amusement parks, looking for my uniquely beautiful daughter. My next stop the library to research Missing child reports and Adoption records for that day. I combed the inter webs at the local muggle library. Next I went to the Magical Law Enforcement Department to look through there records. My new energy soon wore away leaving me a raw emotional shell of a man. I returned home sad and alone per usual. I ordered Pinky my elf to make a singular pink cupcake. Once in front of me I placed a single candle in the whipped frosting.

"Incendio" I murmur, the candle erupted in a burst of flame, "to my daughter, may 1 treat you well wherever you are". Then I waited for the candle to burn out. The flicker of the singular flame illuminated my tear stained cheeks. The candle burned for 14 minutes before stuttering and burning itself out. "Happy Birthday Cresseida, my love" I say standing up from the counter, and retiring to bed alone again.

Just a sad very short little filler. Poor Draco's just wants to hug his baby.
