Old man Chisa~

I opened the door to the servant's quarters that Chisa told me and picked the bed near the window. The sun was shining bright and its rays are shining down on the bed. Huh… They are spirits but they live and act like living humans, just like in the anime that I have watched.

I looked around the room. It's a fairly sized room that can fit three beds in it and with a side table or is it a mini closet? The closets have 2 small drawers in them and when I open the drawers there are sets of clothing in them. I picked up the clothes and saw that it's two-piece clothing. The upper garment looked like the ones for a Kimono and the lower garment looked like a wide pleated skirt? Looking at it, the dark blue clothing doesn't have any design except for that light blue mountain with floating clouds pattern that looks similar to Master's clothes. Must be the family crest if this is embroidered at the left chest area, must be symbolizing, that people wearing it work at this place?

I looked at the drawer again and saw that there is a white cloth that looked like a Kimono as well but made out of thin material? I looked at the drawer again looking for any unused underwear for me to wear, but there is none. Then I looked at the thin white cloth in front of me… Huh?! Is this what they call underwear?! It doesn't cover anything at all! What's more, it somewhat shows everything that shouldn't be seen! Wait! I shouldn't jump to conclusions! It could be that this white cloth is just like sleepwear and that we are the ones who need to provide for our unmentionables?

Thinking it that way, I had calmed myself down. Looking at the window and the sun's rays, I suddenly thought of trying to see if there are spiritual essence that I can gather from the sun.

I sat down on the bed and tried that sitting position that I used to gather spiritual essence from the moon. I closed my eyes and concentrated that the sun's rays are going through my body and absorbing it. But after a couple of minutes sitting there, nothing happened. I guess it doesn't work with the sun, only with the moon?

I opened my eyes and scratch my head thinking. I tried thinking about what kinds of positions I can try for meditating. The one I used for the moon was the lotus position and I don't know what else is there. Should I try that yoga position that I saw on TV?

I stood up on the bed and spread my feet apart, my right leg is bent forward while my left leg was stretched out. I raised my arms parallel to the floor and reach them actively out to the sides, shoulder blades wide, palms down. The rays of the sun were shining down on the lower half of my body.

I concentrated again and after I don't know how long, I felt that familiar warm sensation crawling from my lower half towards my whole body. Unlike what I felt from the spiritual essence from the moon, the spiritual essence that I get from the sun has a searing hot sensation flowing in my body. It's a bit painful like you're being roasted by the sun, but I can still stand it. Think of it as going to the beach of a tropical country, while the sun is glaring and you didn't put any sunscreen. Plus like they say, no pain no gain right?

I stayed like that until the sun sets and I collapsed on the bed. It was tiring and I could hardly open my eyes, but remembering the bet, I reached out for the clock and set the alarm. Good thing the alarm clock here looks like the regular alarm clock that I can see at the stores that ring loudly. I fell into a deep sleep after putting the clock near my pillow.

"Rrrrrrriiiiinnnnnggggggg!"

My eyes shot open when I heard a loud ring. After sleeping for like 6 hours, I feel refreshed and not groggy at all. I checked my condition and I feel light and full of energy.

It was like how I absorb the essence from the moon but somehow different? I don't know what's different but I guess it's good since I will be needing it when I start cleaning the garden.

I quickly changed into the uniform, went to the garden and opened the bamboo gate. I put my left hand on my hips and my right hand is rubbing my chin. I forgot to ask for tools for removing the weeds and for pruning the overgrown branches! I lightly smacked my forehead for forgetting the most important thing!

Without a choice, I started pulling the huge weeds out. I grabbed a bunch full of weeds and planted my feet firmly to prepare myself to pull it. I inhaled and steadied myself and with one quick motion and with all my strength I pulled them out and what I didn't expect is that they are easily pulled!

"WTF!" I couldn't help but curse since I landed on my butt again! I stood up slowly and patted the dirt out of my uniform, it surprised me that they are easy to pull! If this is the case then the only obstacle that I will be facing will be pruning the peach trees.

I quickly pulled out all the weeds and without breaking a sweat I had them all removed by the time dawn came and now it's looking more like a garden than a scary forest… Well, not a beautiful green garden with luscious fresh grass, the ground looked like moles invaded them but still, it's looking better than it was earlier. I now can see that darn stone stool that I hit my knee into and that there are four of them and a round table made of the same material.

Looking at it, it's like made out of marble and smooth to the touch. They are placed in the middle of the garden but it doesn't have a tree to shade anyone if it's high noon. Looking around for a good place to transfer the stools and table, I saw two huge peach tree that can provide a fairly amount of shade and might be able to block the sun even if it's in the afternoon.

My only problem is how to move them since it's made of marble they must weigh a ton and I'm not that strong to move it. I guess I can tip the stools over and roll them towards the trees and just try to push or drag the table over there. I don't care if they are placed neatly as long I can transfer them there it will be fine, I guess?

So with that plan in mind, I pick the stool near me and prepared myself to flip it down to roll it. I steadied and counted to three and flip it with all my might when suddenly the stool shot up, fell and rolled few feet away! Stunned, I looked at the other stools near me.

I walked over and carefully lift one, and it was so light! What the fuck?! Is this made out of plastic and just covered it to look like marble?! Feeling cheated, I picked up two of the stools and placed them grudgingly under the trees and came back with the last one left behind and the one that rolled over. And for the table, since it too wide to carry I just pulled it towards the place where I put down the stools.

For the trees, even if there are too many branches, they still looked nice even if I don't prune them. I'll just prune them once fall came I guess. I stood near the gate and looked at the garden, it looks cleaner now and can be called a decent garden. I'll just look for a broom or a rake to clean the fallen leaves and to even out the earth that was pulled out when I cleared the weeds.

Good thing it's still early morning so I can still look around to see if I can find a shed and if there will be something I can use to sweep the ground. But unfortunately, I wasn't able to find any no matter how hard I looked. I went back to the garden and stared at it when my attention went to the weeds that I piled at the side.

Then an idea popped up in my mind! I bundled a few weeds that are tough enough and used them to sweep the ground instead. I may have produced a cloud of dust but it was able to do its job in clearing the fallen leaves. And once I'm done, I threw all the weeds sitting at the side to the rubbish pit and went back to the garden to admire my work.

I was smiling from ear to ear happy that I accomplished my task when I heard someone walking behind. "What the-! How the hell is this possible!" I heard someone shouted.

I turned around and smiled. "Well now. Since I was able to do the task, I guess it's my win, right old man Chisa~?" I loved how his face contorted into this scowl. Take that and shoved it up to your tight ass! I gloated internally.
