Mirror: Ancient god of Mirrors

The Earth lay in a state of formlessness, devoid of power and life. It was a desolate realm, lacking even the concept of reality. The world existed as an expanse of emptiness, an endless void and space where nothing could dwell. For thousands of years, time flowed swiftly, yet the Earth remained unchanged. It seemed as though it was cursed by time itself, trapped in a stagnant existence akin to an ancient vessel. But then, from the depths of cryostasis, someone awakened. An ancient aura descended upon the Earth, instantly overwhelming everything within its reach. Though there was nothing within the void, it began to split and crack under the weight of this indomitable force. The darkness in the sky churned and swirled in response to the unbearable aura emanating from the mysterious figure. Standing amidst the vastness of outer space, the man gazed upon the planet of blackness. The darkness that enshrouded the Earth was oppressive and stifling. Change was necessary, something needed to shift. This being was short in stature but possessed a muscular build, and had a face concealed by thick darkness. His visage was hidden, for anyone who beheld it would be consumed by the truth of his being. But there was no one to witness it. The universe appeared to be in a state of laxity, with no external force capable of altering this fact. And then, with a sweeping motion of his hands, the void and space were torn asunder. A formidable shockwave rippled through the fabric of existence, dividing the waters that had compressed into a single form. It became evident that this seemingly boundless water had been compressed in such a manner. However, every power has its limits, and it was possible that the waters were truly bottomless. Yet, the man's power concealed that fact. Swirling black tendrils streaked across the expanse, severing the darkness and reducing the endless abyss to a sky pit. The sky pit, a supernatural realm, devoured anything that ventured into its depths, condemning it to eternal loss. As land emerged, celestial bodies materialized out of the blue. The sun, the moon, and other planets revealed themselves. The being did not create them; these celestial entities had been concealed, only to be unveiled by the manifestation of his mighty powers. The sun cast its radiant light upon the newly formed planet. And as the planet took shape, life mysteriously appeared. Plants, animals, and eventually humans came into existence. Once again, the being ventured into outer space. He unleashed his powers, creating a formless energy known as "Mirror," which flooded into the sky pit. The Mirror energy possessed reflective properties, harking back to the days of the gods when the being himself had been an unrivaled, peerless youth. He had the ability to create Mirror energy, and those who absorbed it could reflect their own powers back upon themselves. Mirror was the miracle of the universe. From Mirror energy, he bestowed unique Aspect abilities. Fourteen ranks were meant to be unlocked, but only seven were unlocked by the most individuals. Upon inheriting the Mirror energy, they became Seekers. Their souls were engraved upon reflecting mirrors, rendering them immune to the corruption that could potentially invade their beings.

Five years trapped in a Time Storm

Rex and Jake didn't know what to do. It became a given that, escaping a Supreme Druid's power was inescapable.

The system within Rex had proffered thousand upon thousands of ideas but... none actually came to an accomplishment telling exactly how devastating Sunny's time storm can become.

All of a sudden, the nature of the time storm twisted and changed.

It was no longer raining stones and sand that forms the shape of various weapons. But, it instantly turned into a whirlpool that goes in constant circulation and then...

Both Rex and Jake began to relive the same day over and over again.

This same whirlpool was the natural cause of every revolution and surprisingly, both Jake and Rex remembered that they've actually been repeating the same action in the previous revolution.

And right there, something changed... except, the whirlpool of revolution continued.

A gargantuan creature emerged from a mist of darkness that shrouded the time storm.

An ear-piercing screech resonated as a heavy aura descended alongside the creature's massive arm.

Rex and Jake could feel a whole load of fear that consumed them whole.

Jake used his Soul gauge.

Rex had unlocked many skills from his daily tasks.

He applied his energy shield.

But, everything was shattered by the gigantic arm leaving only dust and bloody paste in it's wake.

Jake and Rex died.

But, after the revolution ended...

Jake and Rex started all over again, reliving the same scene over and over again.

"What is going on?" Rex was visibly afraid, not knowing exactly what was happening within this terrifying time storm.

Jake himself couldn't tell what was happening, but...

One thing he realized is that, Sunny's Aspect Ability was absolutely horrifying, coupled with the fact that he was still very young.

Someone with the ability to freeze time is considered a unique person to the entire universe.

Someone like Sunny would be able to crush time like he was capable of doing to any living being that was trapped within his time storm.

A shiver ran through Jake's spine.

They seriously need to escape.

How long has it been exactly?

They've lost complete track of it.

[Calculating host's age...]

[Calculation is being mixed up due to the time storm.]

[A rough estimate have been calculated since you last entered the time storm...]

[The beginning of the storm, created a tidal zone which messed with the brains, you actually believe that it's been few hours meanwhile, it's actually five years...]

[Congratulations, you're Seventeen years old now. Your age has been unsealed]

[You now get the full access to the system.]

Rex's eyes instantly widened.

"F— five years?"

Jake was momentarily startled.

Had it really been that long?

[Skills have been improved.]

[Energy level, Hps have been improved]

[Your sealed powers have been unsealed by, 0.0003% You can now use Mirror Aspect from the Seeker Realm.]

Rex stared at his fist and Immediately clenched it tight and that instant, visible powers flooded his veins like a broken water dam.

Rex immediately turned to Jake.

"Knock me unconscious!"

Jake's face paled.

"What! Why would I do that?"

Rex exhales softly..

"I want to get us both out of here. Knock me unconscious..."

Jake instantly refused..

Rex suddenly turned with visible signs of anger on his face.

"Do you want us to spend more years within a terrible time storm? Remember, eventually we would have to die and repeat our revolution again.

"No, I can't do that."

Rex's golden eyes blazed.

"Goddammit Jake, do it!"

Jake was shocked. Rex was getting bolder... Maybe, it was due to the fact that five years had gone by in a flash and probably, he was bound to act like a sixteen years old or seventeen.

Was it seventeen or Sixteen?

Thirteen more revolutions later, Jake was already feeling that if this keeps up, they would be destroyed mentally.

Someone like Jake who's mind is not protected by mental fortitude would feel the brunt of time and the mental stress coalescence, surely it was already eating him up... bit by bit.

Rex definitely was covered.

Mental Stealth was doing it's work by protecting his brainwaves from invasion. And the more tasks Rex completes, the more these skills improve.

But, Rex had already been given his very first mission by the System.

#####

Mission:

Destroy the Time Storm In two weeks.

####

Rex had actually seen this, that was why he had resorted to knocking himself unconscious. He obviously did not want to die, plus...

The duration of the mission is two weeks.

The time storm is something that ignores time. So, getting to two weeks should be like sleeping and waking up.

They've already undergone thirteen revolutions.

The good thing is that, even the System is confused about the particular day so, Rex was a bit lucky for now.

This time around, Rex grabbed Jake on the collar.

"Knock me unconscious!"

Jake realized how serious Rex was and decided to comply, maybe... Something was supposed to happen that would break them free from the time prison.

And with a deafening bang, Rex collapsed on the floor.

During this period, Jake had already broken through and become an Enlister, and it was with that force, he had used to bang Rex.

But...

To Jake's shock, Rex didn't last three seconds unconscious.

Then eventually, when Rex woke up...

countless mirror shards broke off in great splinters causing a terrifying shockwave to spread around the time storm.

Rex's eyes was radiating a golden hue. But, his mind remained numb and empty.

Rex raised his hands and in an instant, the time storm, the approaching gargantuan creature, was trapped into a single Shard of mirror.

The time storm was destroyed, releasing them from it's hold and causing Sunny to be shocked.

Sunny immediately blurred, trying to exchange blows with Rex, but all of a sudden, Rex's strength spiked and when their both fists collided, Sunny's 'time fist' and Sunny himself was immediately blasted backwards, crashing on what used to be Jake's house five years ago which crumbled to a complete dust.

Sunny stared at Rex and, suddenly the defilement within him churned and came to life, instantly eating everything that came in contact with it.

Rex countered with countless mirror shards, protecting Jake and himself from corruption and at the same time, trapping Sunny within a single shard and causing it to splinter, leaving Sunny in an excruciating pain.

Sunny instantly used his aspect ability and vanished from the present and travelled to the past, and that was before Rex and Jake had broken off the time Storm.

He instantly changed and twisted time.

But, before Rex and Jake broke out of the Time Storm for the second time, Sunny had already escaped.
