Chapter 1: New Family!

◇Ken's POV◇

I was once again stuck in a void, but this time I can't see anything, but I feel like someone is with me. I'm assuming I was still inside my supposed mother in this world and the other presence I'm feeling is probably a twin of some sort.

Oh... *Eye Opening*

I can see now, but everything is so wet, red, and icky... Oh, I can see the other one with me too, I am indeed coupled with a twin. Though it's weird that I developed eyesight as early as now, maybe it's that eyeball's gift.

I tried to look around but all I see is what I think is supposed to be the insides of a person, like what is shown in those animated videos of how a fetus is formed. I guess I'll be stuck here without anything to do for a few months, maybe I should try using that eyeball's gift.

Assuming that I had vision-based abilities, I tried looking outside. In fear of damaging anything inside my mom, I just used ultrasound vision and it worked. Though all I could see was black, grey, and white, it was still great that I could see what was happening in my surroundings. I stopped looking after I feel some sort of trembling, my mom must be hungry because I'm also feeling a bit hungry. I feel like I'm some sort of parasite (^-^'').

Just like that, I think a few months had already passed by because I can see that I and my twin are now growing into fully formed babies. Also, my twin whom I found out will become a girl was kicking our mom lightly from the inside. I feel bad for our mom because I can't imagine anyone carrying two babies in one belly, and the other twin is a rowdy one at that.

Once again, I feel my surroundings trembling but this time it is more intense. I looked outside and used my ultrasound vision. I can see that my mom was being rushed to the hospital, and beside him was whom I assumed is my dad. I guess it's time for me and my twin to be born, huh...

After a few intense hours of my mom crying and shouting later, I was now outside with my twin sister.

I hear a doctor saying "They're twins, one is a boy and one's a girl!" as they handed us to our parents after wiping off the amniotic sac covering our bodies and cutting off the umbilical cords.

*Excited Gasps!* I hear my parents react.

The room was really bright, and I could see my mom being supported by some nurses and my dad. She has pink hair and she looked like an older version of Mei Hatsume from this world but with longer jellyfish-like hair and crystal-like yellow-green eyes instead of the crosshair one, so I'm assuming Mei is my twin.

Besides my mom, was my dad, he looked like a model with his tall stature, slender limbs, white hair, and blue eyes. He reminded me of Gojo Satoru from Jujutsu Kaisen, but much older.

"Look at them! They're so cute!! What should we name them?" said my mom, excitedly.

"I was thinking, how about Mei for the girl and Ken for the boy?" replied my dad.

"Alright then! Ken Hatsume and Mei Hatsume it is!" said my mom with total excitement in her voice.

"Ooh, Ken has your eyes, hon! But they're like crystals similar to mine." added my mom.

"Yes, yes...and Mei has your eyes...but her pupils are like crosshairs," said my dad, smiling thoughtfully.

As our parents looked at us, smiling. They were shocked as I tried to touch them, similarly, I was smiling happily.

'He can see us already!?' I see them think. Oh, this might be one of my abilities...

"I think they have already developed their quirks early on, it's through a mutation in their eyes," said a doctor.

Then, both my parents focused on me and my sister's eyes, reacting as if they were seeing something wonderful.

"You're right! Ken's eyes keep changing colors while Mei's crosshair-like pupils keep zooming in and out." said my mom in excitement.

"*Baby Chuckles*" I hear my twin chuckling while looking at our parents.

"Awwwww~" reacted all the people in my surroundings.

Just like that, my eyes shined with hope as I was filled with excitement about the prospects of this new life with my new family!

◇General POV◇

Kyoto, Japan - April 18, A year later...

Inside a modern-like traditional Japanese house, sunlight was flickering from the windows as two kids were seen sitting on the floor. One was a boy with light pink hair, watching television with interest as the news shows a superhero named All Might. The other was a girl with pink jellyfish-like hair, she was playing with building blocks and Legos beside his twin brother.

*All Might saves the day once again—!*

"Hey, Kenny! Where's okaa-san and oto-san...?" said the girl with a small pout.

"They went out to buy something, Mei..." replied the boy called Kenny.

"Ehhh? Do you know anything about that Kenny?" said Mei, curiously.

'It's already been a year, and my parents went out to get birthday presents for us, Hehehe..." thought Ken.

"Yes, but they said, or rather thought, that it was a secret... Hehe" said Ken, mischievously.

"But why? That's unfair, you can read their minds! Hmph!" complained Mei as she crossed her arms and turned away.

"Alright, alright... calm down, they're already here! Okaa-san, Oto-san, please come out! *Laughing*" said Ken as his eyes changed colors.

"Eh? How come you saw us? It was supposed to be a surprise..." said the mom, dejected.

"Is it another one of your eye's quirks, Kenny?" said the dad as he looked in interest.

"Hehehe..." replied Ken.

"Okaa-san, Oto-san! You're here!" shouted Mei as she ran up to them with a hug.

"Haha, surprise!" said the mom.

"Happy Birthday kids!" said the dad.

"Yay!" said Mei, excitedly.

"Oh, it's our birthday today?" said Ken, sarcastically, as he approached his parents and hugged them.

"Yeah! You guys were born on April 18! You're now a year old" said the dad, excited.

"Ehh, Kenny? Why aren't you surprised... Your reaction is a bit boring..." said the mom, once again getting dejected.

"Hehehe, I can read minds, remember?" said Ken as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Anyways, here's your present, Mei!" said the dad.

"Ehh? it's the Star Wars: Millennium Falcon Lego set!!! *Gasp*" said an excited Mei. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" she added as he climbed up her parents and kissed both their cheeks, repeatedly.

'I feel like their eyes became hearts... Also, it's literally written on the box, "Ages 9+"... I guess it's not really a problem since my sister's a genius when it comes to building stuff...' thought Ken.

"Come on, Ken! Here's yours!" said the mom.

"An All Might Onesie..." said Ken as he looked at his parents.

"What's with that reaction, Kenny? Come on, hug your mom!" said the mom, crying because of Ken's reaction.

"Hmmm, I'll think about it!" said Ken as he chuckled at his mom's antics.

"You see... We've noticed your special interest in All Might, always watching the news about him. So, we bought you this!" said the dad

"Well, I'm inspired by his heroic deeds and I think he's a true hero!" replied Ken with passion.

"Do you also want to become a hero, Kenny? Then I will support you with everything! I can be your main support gear maker!" said the mom in excitement while hugging Ken.

"Ehh? What do you mean support gear?" said Ken.

"Oh, we haven't actually told you this, have we?" asked the dad.

"I'm one of the best support gear engineers, Melody Hatsume!!" said the excited mom.

"And your dad is also one of the best, but in the field of designing superhero suits, Kaito Hatsume!" added Melody.

"Yeah, we just took a break from working because I got your mom pregnant... So, we went home to my hometown in Kyoto," said Kaito as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Eh?" said a confused Ken with a deadpan expression.

'Too much love is radiating from my dad!' thought Ken as he sees the pink aura surrounding Kaito.

"Okaa-san, Oto-san... How did you make us? How are babies made?" said a confused Mei.

"Ahahaha..." laughed Kaito, nervously.

"That's a lesson for another day, Mei!" said Melody, winking at Mei.

'Eh? My mom is emanating a really bright and happy energy...' thought Ken.

With that, another day passed in Ken's new life.

◇Ken's POV◇

After learning about our parents' identities, Mei excitedly asked if she could also learn how to be an engineer from mom. Also, since I did not want to be left behind, I also asked mom and dad to teach me how to be an engineer and an apparel designer because knowledge is key.

Our parents who don't really know how normal kids should act, agreed with our requests even though we were just one year old. Thus, together with Mei, we were now being guided by our parents towards a secret place through a secret entrance under our house that we'd never seen before. A very big hidden laboratory!

"Wahh..." I breathed out, amazed. It's even more advanced than my laboratory in my last life, imagine the things I could work with here... No... I must not go through that again and live my life differently from here...

"Cool, right?" said my dad.

"Yeah!!" said a very excited Mei, she looked like she knows what to do without actually being taught. She's probably an engineering prodigy, it makes me proud as her twin... *Wiping Tears*

"Alright! Who's ready for some fun!!" shouted my mom, already in her builder attire.

"Meee!" shouted Mei in excitement.

"Before that, you kids should wear these for protection... They have been made with the best protective materials, they can even— *Murmur* *Murmur* *Murmur*" I heard dad saying as I looked at him. Though, I toned down most of the things he said as I felt like he was entering into his nerdy designer mode.

"Go on and wear those! After that, come to me for your first lesson!" shouted mom in excitement.

Just like that, we began our first lessons in becoming mini versions of our parents.

◇Author's POV◇

A few days before the kids' birthdays...

Inside the bathroom of the Hatsume Residence, we can see a pink-haired boy looking at his reflection in the mirror. He seems to be trying to imitate the picture in his hands, it was a picture of what he thought was a perfect smile... All Might's smile...

"Argh!" shouted the boy.

"To become a hero, one must have a great and inspiring smile... no... a perfect smile," said the boy.

"But, why can't I do it... I need to practice more!" he added as his eyes twinkled with determination.

"With this face, I think I can do it!" he said.

It seems like this kid unlocked some narcissistic tendencies... What are parents teaching their kids these days...

"SHUT UP!" he said, looking at the sky angrily.
