5 | Watanabe Family

On the second floor of the Twilight Bakery, Haruto was typing away on his computer. Looking into it we could see that it's a novel that he's writing, as he was writing away in it, there was a knock on the door. Hearing the knock he said "Come in." While closing the tabs and shutting down the computer.

Opening the door, Hana came into his room. Seeing her he asked "What is it?"

Taking a deep breath she said "I'm thinking about telling grandpa and grandma about Touya."

He looked at her like she was an idiot and said "So?"

"I was hoping that you will be with me when I tell them." Hana said.

"When are you going to tell them?" Haru asked.

"Right now." Hana said.

"Alright. Let's go." Saying that he got up from his seat and with Hana right behind him went downstairs where their grandparents are watching TV.

Seeing both Haruto and Hana coming down at the same time, both grandparents looked at each other with a knowing look.

Sitting down near them Haruto said "Hana have to say something to you guys."

"Who is it?" Without giving any chance to Hana to say something their grandma asked.

"Who is who?"

"The one who you have decided to live your life with, so out with it young lady, who is it?" Grandma asked again.

Blinking a couple of times Hana looked at Haruto, and he didn't even glance at her and was watching the TV with grandpa who was also watching the TV.

Knowing that there isn't going to be any kind help from her brother and grandpa she sighed. Then looking at her grandma she said "It's Touya."

"Che." Was the only thing grandma said then standing up from her seat she went to her room.

Not knowing what was going on, Hana started to panic, but when she felt her hand being squeezed she relaxed a bit. Because that is what Haruto always did to her so that she could relax.

A second later grandma came out of their room and sat near grandpa and handed him some money saying "I lost the bet."

"That you did." Their grandpa said, who was just watching TV all this time.

Hana looked at both of them and asked "What bet?"

"Mm... I said that you will be falling in love with Touya and your grandma said that you wouldn't. So she lost the bet." Their grandpa said.

"Both of you have found a Todoroki to be your life partner." Then looking at Hana she asked "How long has it been going on?"

"Two years." Hana said.

"Mmmm. Right after Haruto woke up huh." She asked Hana.

Wincing at it Hana said "Yeah, he was there for me when Haru was in coma. And we fell in love after Haru woke up."

Both grandparents nodded in understanding as both of them were watching over Haruto and most of the time Hana was with the Todoroki family.

Then grandpa asked "So, when are you going to tell Enji and Rei?"

"Tomorrow. Touya invited all of us for dinner at Todoroki residence." Hana said.

Hearing that Haruto said "Sorry, I won't be with you guy's for that. I have a prior appointment."

Eyeing Haruto, Hana asked, "Is that all?"

"And Enji will beat me up the first chance he gets having the excuse of sparring. And I don't plan on becoming his sparring partner tomorrow." Haruto said.

"Understandable." Grandpa said that and didn't ask what the prior appointment was at all.

After the big reveal, for Hana only, they ate dinner and went to bed.

POV Haruto:-

The next day, I woke up early in the morning and went out for a walk. On my way I made sure to lock the door in a way that won't disturb others.

As I started to think about the past four years while I was walking through the streets.

Exactly two years ago, when I was about to join UA as a freshmen, some villain almost got my sister killed. Almost being the key point.

She didn't die that day, nor did she get any kind of injury at all. All because I flew in and took her in princess carry and reached a nearby hospital.

Normally that would have been the best ending, but when I picked up Hana to save her, the villain was not having it. He directly struck his knife like fingers right on my neck.

On sheer willpower to save Hana I flew away from there as fast as I could. Because of that, the injury almost reached my brain and caused a blood block, effectively taking me straight to coma.

For one year I was in a coma, and after I woke from the coma I was strapped into a wheelchair for another year.

To a normal person, this may have been a setback, but boy oh boy I got the most out of the coma stage. Thanks to me going into a coma, my quirk underwent mutation and that gave me claws on each of my hands plus regeneration as cherry on the top.

From the day my quirk underwent mutation, I also changed. But I didn't show it outwardly as it would worry my grandparents, Hana and also Fuyumi and I didn't want that at all.

As I finished my thoughts, I reached home. So I went straight to the kitchen and started to cook breakfast for the entire family.

After I finished cooking I called the three of them and ate breakfast together with them.
