=======================

(1 month later)

Akira launched a series of punches and kicks towards Aizawa, each of the attacks coldly calculating and precise with the aim of disabling his teacher. Of course, Aizawa wasn't a pro hero for nothing, everything that entered his vicinity was carefully deflected away from him.

"Faster!" Aizawa demanded. Akira obeyed, increasing the intensity of his blows that were launched numerous times a second. Each time he attacked, he felt the burn and fatigue in his muscles deepened, but he blocked out it like he usually did, focusing his mind on the fight.

"Rah!" He grunted through the pain, trying to land a hit against his teacher. In terms of combat, Aizawa was a monster, and one of the best in the world. With a quirk like his, he had years and years fighting in CQC against villains of all kinds, some with mutation quirks that couldn't be erased. This meant he had spent the better part of his life fighting villains with mutations that gave them advantages in the only way Aizawa could fight. Yet still…he was undefeated.

He came to realise quite quickly that his first fight with Aizawa was nothing more than an inaccurate representation of the true distance between them. He had only caught him off guard, and he knew Aizawa didn't fully try to capture him.

"More!" The voice of Aizawa brought him out of his thoughts and back to reality. Akira could feel his heart pounding out of his chest and the blood rushing to his head. He felt sick, but Akira pushed his assault, screaming in exertion. As his mind began to get hazy, his attacks blended together in a perfect combination of attacks.

Akira couldn't remember what happened next, but the moment he came to be, Aizawa was on the floor. He clutched his stomach, but he seemed otherwise fine.

Akira looked on in shock, not believing he had managed to down his teacher. His next few breaths were heavy, allowing him to breath properly, before the next set of breaths were bellowing laughs. He was ecstatic.

Aizawa got up with a grunt as if nothing happened, "Well done, you managed to hit me. Your training is complete. Your progress in the past 2 months has been good, you not only improved in your fighting skills, but also managed to push your body to top physical condition. Now just continue this training without me, and you should be fine."

Akira nodded. The training over the past 2 months had been hard, and was nothing like he had ever done before. It was excruciating, tortuous, and at times he wanted to give up, but he never did, and it paid off. Now that it was over, he realised he was slightly sad that it was ending due to the sheer amount of progress he made and how much he knew his efforts were paying off.

"So no more training?" He asked Aizawa with a raised brow.

"No more training like this from me. You're free to do this in your own time, but you do not need my help anymore. Continue training diligently and after a few years, your body will be on par with most top pro heroes. The only thing that we have left to do is to train your quirk."

"So we'll start that tomorrow?"

Aizawa shook his head, "No, tomorrow I have to commentate on the sports festival for the 1st years…or what's left of them. I'm also not suitable to help train your quirk, Nezu told me to refrain from doing so."

Akira sighed at the mention of the sports festival. He remembered when he brought it up a few weeks ago and when Aizawa told him he was banned from participating, he was quite mad and asked why.

According to him people would "Figure out who he was" if he participated. Still, Akira tried to convince Aizawa by telling him he would only use his super strength and speed <Orders>, but Aizawa still declined. He wondered why.

"So if I'm not participating in the sports festival, and you're not training me, who's going too?"

Aizawa chuckled, "Did you really think mr. future symbol of peace would be forgotten about? Nezu has other plans for you."

====

"AMERICA!!!?" Akira shouted, jumping out of his seat. Nezu chuckled at the reaction.

He moved his pawn forward, "Indeed. You're going to America, the land of the free, are you disappointed?"

'On the contrary.' Akira thought. Outside of Japan, he practically knew nothing about this world full of heroes and quirks since Horikoshi had yet to expand on it during his time reading the manga. Now he had a chance, a chance to explore the world and see how other countries operated.

He sat back down, trying to regain his composure. His hands shook with excitement as he moved his knight. He looked back at Nezu, he knew the reason why he was going to America.

"So she accepted?"

"If by she, you mean the Number One American hero, Stars and Stripes, then yes, she accepted. Despite being so busy and usually declining internship offers, even from the most prominent up and coming heroes, she was really interested in meeting you as you both have the same quirk."

Akira figured, he himself felt he had some sort of special bond with Stars and Stripes due to their identical quirks. It wasn't a bond of friendship or love of any kind, just a basic bond made by their similarities.

"When am I going?" He asked, barely able to contain his excitement as he bounced in his chair.

"In 1 weeks time." Nezu answered. He paused, looking through his desk for some documents. A moment later he grabbed a sheet of documents and handed them over to Akira.

"There's all the documents for details of your stay. I've arranged everything for you, from your passport to your living arrangements and all the way to even the clothes you'll wear."

"What?" Akira was confused at the last point.

"Cultural differences."

Ah.

He continued, "I believe your time spent with her would be very beneficial, much more beneficial than training your quirk here in Japan or anywhere else in the world. It is because of that I've tried my best to extend the length of the internship as much as possible. I've managed to extend it too…" Nezu paused, and Akira felt the anticipation grow, "2 months."

"2 months…" Akira said, liking the way the words tasted on his lips. After 2 months in America, he was chuffed.

"Mhmmm," Nezu nodded, "You already have the skills of a pro hero after the training Aizawa gave you. After this training you should be alot stronger, stronger than some heroes in the top 10, and when you return to Japan we'll get you your provisional licence and you will start rising through the ranks."

"Controlling my life now, Nezu?" Akira said with a wry grin.

"Who rather than me would you have control it?"

"Everyone Nezu, literally everyone."

He chuckled, "I see during your training with Aizawa you also picked up some of his dry humour."

"Then by that logic, I also picked up some of your intelligence, so my previous statement wasn't entirely a joke. I know how dangerous you can be."

"Smart lad." Nezu conceded, sipping his tea, "I'm really going to miss our lessons, what will I do without you?"

"Maybe run the school?"

"I've already set things up so the school is running without me even doing anything. I do have the final exams to look forward to though, that will be some fun…Also, I forgot!"

"Forgot what?"

"Your hero name!"

Akira's eyes widened, he totally forgot about that. He put a finger to his chin, and began thinking for what seemed like hours before a lightbulb appeared above his head.

"I've got a good one…" Akira said, Nezu leaned forward in anticipation, "Akira! My name!" He said excitedly. He could see the visible look of disappointment on Nezu's face.
