Chapter 58: Dorm

{3rd Person POV}
The day after the Kamino Ward incident, Aizawa and Vlad King set out to inform the students and their parents that U.A. will be starting the dorm program to safeguard the students and to increase their training.
After meeting with all the students of his class, Aizawa reached the hotel room where Jōichirō and his family were staying temporarily. Knocking on the door, he waited and within seconds, the door was opened by Jōichirō himself. Looking at Aizawa, Jōichirō asked "Sensei, good to see you. Come in."
Nodding at Jōichirō, Aizawa entered the room. As he followed Jōichirō, he saw that Jōichirō's parents were just watching TV.
Seeing Aizawa, Jun switched off the TV and said while gesturing to the chair "You can sit down here."
As Aizawa settled down, he said "I'm here to inform you about the dorm system in the U.A. will start from now on for all the students."
"We are okay with Jōichirō being in a dorm." Tomo said as she sat down near Jun and Jōichirō was standing near them.
Nodding his head Aizawa said "Understood. Then how about the dorm warden position? Are you two interested?"
"Yeah, I need to know why my parents are given this offer?" Jōichirō asked.
"This is for their safety. The villains attacked your family, and your family only. We know that it's because of Shigaraki as he is obsessed with you and Midoriya, but he didn't attack the Midoriya family. Think of this dorm warden arrangement as a protection detail for you family, I'll assure you that they will be safe." Aizawa told Jōichirō.
"I understand." Jōichirō said.
"We're okay with that." Jun agreed to the job, Tomo also nodded.
"Good to hear. The Principal will contact you soon, be ready for the shift in accommodation." Aizawa said.
"Is there anything else you would like to know?" Aizawa asked them.
"Yeah, when can we move in?" Tomo asked him.
"The principal will inform you about it. Most likely, you will be moved today itself, because from tomorrow the students will be staying in the dorm." Aizawa said.
"Okay, good to know." Jun said not minding the shift to U.A grounds as the villains won't be attacking that place anytime soon.
"Well, then. My job here is done, so I'll be leaving now." Saying that, Aizawa stood up and left the hotel room as Jōichirō escorted him out.
As Aizawa was getting into the car, he asked Jōichirō "Did you know about it?"
"Know what?" Jōichirō while thinking 'It's either about the rescue of Bakugo or about Deadpool.'
Aizawa scrutinized Jōichirō for some time, shaking his head he said "It's nothing. Be safe."
"Sure." Jōichirō replied as Aizawa got into his car and left.
Jōichirō went back to his room and as soon as Jun saw him he said "Your Principal called just now. He's saying that he will be sending vehicles to pick us up and also our furniture from home."
"He's paying right?" Jōichirō asked his father.
"Yes. And you should get your costumes before they find it." Jun said.
"Yeah, you're right. I'll be leaving then." Jōichirō said as he went to change his clothes.

*Knock* *Knock*
"Come in." The lady said.
Opening the door, a man came in with a file. Placing it on the desk, the man said "This is the only case that points towards Shigaraki."
"Good, you can leave now." The lady said.
"Yes, Madam President." Saying that the man left the room.
A few minutes after the man left, the president of HPSC skimmed through the file.
Closing the file and placing it back on the table she muttered "This is complicated."
Tapping her finger on the table for a few seconds she picked up her phone and dialed a number.
As the call went through, she said "Mera, U.A is sending their first years for the provisional license exam, right?"
[Yes ma'am, they are.]
"Good, then I need you to closely monitor one of the students from the U.A." The president said.
[May I know the reason madam?]
"I believe that the student is Deadpool, as Nomu had attacked his home at the same time Shigaraki and the league attacked the training camp." She said,
[.... Madam, do you seriously believe that a sixteen year old kid can do what Deadpool did to Shigaraki.] Mera asked her after a bit of silence.
"I don't. But if it's true then we have a loose cannon, and I don't want that in these troubled times." She said,
[Alright madam. What's the name of the student? Is his quirk in any way similar to Deadpool?]
"His name is Jōichirō Saiba. And no, he doesn't have a healing quirk. His quirk is absorbing and releasing any kind of energy."
[Madam, I may be overstepping the boundaries here, but doesn't that mean that Saiba is not Deadpool?]
Sighing she said "All we know is he can absorb energy and release it, we don't know what kind of energy he can handle. As far as the record shows, he can absorb fire, lightning, sound, etc.."
[Madam, couldn't Deadpool be someone who is close to the family?]
"I have that doubt too, as Saiba woke up from his coma a few hours before the raid happened and Deadpool appeared."
[Then isn't all the more reason to not suspect him?]
"That would have been the normal thought process, if he didn't contain the quirk power of Eri. Her quirk allow her to rewind things, basically she have the power over time. Ans if Siaba have absorbed that energy then it's possible for him to be Deadpool."
[I understand madam, and I'm sorry for asking so many questions. I'll observe Jōichirō Saiba in the upcoming provisional license exam.]
"Good, that is all." Saying that she disconnected the call, and ran her palm over her face tiredly.
"This is complicated, too complicated. If I go in hard, he might snap and go rogue. I don't want a loose cannon with the ability to manipulate time, better call Hawks to look into him."

In Front of the Class 1-A dorm building, twenty students of Class 1-A were standing in front of Aizawa.
Looking at his students, Aizawa said "For now, I'm just glad that we were able to bring Class 1-A back together again."
"We were all able to be together again because of the teachers. When I watched the press conference, I thought we'd lose them, and it made me sad." Asui said.
"Yeah." Uraraka agreed.
"I was surprised, too. Well, I'm sure everyone has different circumstances." Scratching his head, he continued "For the most part, rather than trying to convince them, it was more like we let them go free and then grabbed their tails."
Looking at his students he said "Now, I'll explain briefly about the dorms, but first, for now, we will focus on getting the provisional licenses we were planning to have you get during the training camp."
"Oh yeah, they did talk about that!" Kirishima said.
"So much happened that I forgot about it." Mina also chimed in.
"This is important. Listen up." Aizawa interrupted them.
"Kirishima, Yaoyorozu, Todoroki, Midoriya, Iida. These five went to save Bakugo that night." Aizawa said.
That surprised everyone present there, except for Saiba and the ones whose names were called.
Seeing the reactions of his students, Aizawa said "Your reactions tell me that you all were at least aware of it. I'm going to set aside a number of issues and say this: If it weren't for All Might's retirement, I would've expelled everyone except Bakugo and Saiba. Of course the five that went, but also the twelve who knew but didn't stop them betrayed our trust, no matter what the reason. I would be grateful if you could follow the proper procedures and act properly in order to regain that trust."
After giving them the ultimatum, he continued as he walked towards the entrance of the dorm "Now, we're going inside. Let's have some energy."
The students w lost their energy after hearing what Aizawa had to say.
Saiba followed Aizawa as Bakugo made Kaminari fry his brain circuits and made the others let some steam out.
Getting inside the dorm, they saw Jun, Tomo and Yuki in the lounge. Seeing them, the students were surprised.
Jun was the one who broke the ice as he said "Hello, we two will be your dorm wardens. Nice to meet you."
"N-Nice to meet you." They replied in unison with some awkwardness.
Saiba went ahead and sat beside his sister as she was watching the TV.
"Each student dorm building holds one class. Girls on the right, and boys on the left. But the first floor is the common area. Food, baths, and laundry are on this floor. The rest will be shared by Jun and Tomo." Saying that, Aizawa left the dorm building.
"Rooms start on the second floor. There are four rooms per gender on each floor with five floors total. Everyone gets their own room. They're luxurious spaces equipped with their own AC, toilets, fridges and closets." Tomo rambled on with enthusiasm.
Todoroki who was next to Jōichirō asked "Is this the protection detail, my sister told me?"
"Yeah. Since they targeted my family, the U.A. is placing them under protection in the guise of this job." Jōichirō said.
"But, your mother shot the Nomu that came after them." Todoroki said.
"That is one of the reasons why she's in the U.A ground." Jōichirō said with a smile.
Jun gave them the printout of their room position and continued where Tomo left off "These are your rooms. The belongings you sent ahead have already been placed in your rooms, so unpack and get settled in today. We will tell you more tomorrow. That's all, dismissed."
With that, they all went to their rooms to settle in. As Jōichirō had already finished arranging his room yesterday, he told them that he will answer their questions tomorrow and bid them goodnight.
