5 Chapter 5 : Harvesting.

After taking his bath, Eren looked outside and saw that it is still early. It's around 2 pm in the afternoon. He can't help but feel sad for their current condition and all the refugees from Wall of Maria.

Finished taking his bath, Eren saw that it's still early, around 2 pm in the afternoon. Looking at the condition of their house that was filled with holes put a frown on his face. It's really bad.

Despite sending most of them (the refugees) especially the old ones to feed the Titans, 😏 the remaining refugees' conditions didn't improve at all.

There's only one bread per person a day for them meaning that in their everyday life, they can only eat one meal a day. And they can't do anything about it because there's also not enough job available for them. They can't support themselves or their families even if they wanted to.

This shows how fuck up the management inside the walls. Most refugees here can only choose whether they will eat their piece of bread at lunch, evening or if they will divide it into two pieces so they can eat two meals a day. Breakfast and snacks are simply a dream for them.

Any person on earth where Eren lived in his past life will definitely complain about this kind of life.

If he. will have a chance, Eren made a sefl note about helping to improve these people's condition in the future.

Going out of their small house, Eren first saw Mikasa washing their clothes on the side while Armin was reading books.

Although he wanted to help Mikasa, Eren choose not bother them and just silently return back to his bed because his condition isn't that good yet.

He felt exhausted, not because of the exercise he did but something else. He felt like his soul was so exhausted at this moment.

' Is this the side effects of my transmigration? ' Eren thought to himself.

Eren quickly entered the dreamworld after his back made contact with the bed.

A few hours later, Mikasa and Armin also entered the room and saw that Eren was already resting, they didn't disturb him. Instead, they just laid some old and worn out bed sheets on the floor before also going to sleep .

Eren woke up at around 5 am in the morning.

He opened his eyes and briefly got up as he began looking around making sure that everything that happened yesterday wasn't just a dream.

At both side of the bed, he saw both Mikasa and Armin still sleeping on the floor. Eren knows that it's always been like this since they lost their home.

The government can't provide enough housing for the refugees so they just made limited, very small houses made out of straws and lumbers with only one bed and a bathroom as their temporary place to stay.

Although it's quite small, Eren, Mikasa and Armin have no choice but to stay here because there's no other place for them to stay.

The original Eren took the bed for himself right away while both Armin and Mikasa didn't complain and just chose to sleep on the floor with some old and worn out bed sheets.

Seeing Mikasa sleeping on the floor, Eren can't help but feel bad about it. Getting off the bed, he went beside Mikasa before gently picking her up, putting her on the bed. It's a good thing that he didn't woke her up in the process as Eren didn't want to disturb her.

After putting Mikasa down, Eren covered her with some bed sheet and whispered, " Sleep well. " he then silently made his way outside after saying that.

What Eren didn't notice was that, right after he closed the door, Mikasa who was supposed to be sleeping, opened her eyes then smiled sweetly. She's obviously blushing.

Because of her bloodline, Mikasa has a very sensitive awareness of her surroundings even when shes sleeping. She clearly felt his presence when Eren got near her and woke up. Seeing that it was Eren, Mikasa chose to pretend that she's still asleep as she was curious on what he's trying to do.

Then when Eren lifted her up and put her on the bed, covering her with the bed sheet, Mikasa became jubilant. After a long time, she once again felt that someone cared for her. That there's still someone in this world whom she can rely on.

Just this simple thing alone was enough to make Mikasa happy. Looking at the door where Eren exited just now, she whispered.. " Thank you.. "

Eren who has no idea about what happened after he left their small house, he's now running around the the area testing his limits especially, his stamina.

" Huff... huff... "

After another 5 minutes, Eren finally can't take it anymore so he stopped and made his way towards the tree beside the road to take a rest.

Eren didn't plan to rest under this tree but instead used as a cover before. Seeing that there's no people nearby, he entered his Spatial Farm.

[ Welcome back, Host. ]

The farm system greeted Eren.

Eren saw that the cabbages he planted has already grown up by a lot. He estimated that he can already start harvesting them in another 4 to 5 hours and it made him very happy.

It should be known that he just planted these cabbages yesterday . And there's not even a day has passed yet but they are this big already and can be harvested in a few more hours. Just where can you find anything like that?

Eren then walked beside the water spring to drink some water. This water can help strengthen the body so he almost wanted to slap himself yesterday for not drinking it right away, perhaps he should have recovered faster if he did that.

Eren took out an empty water container before filling it up with water from the spring and started drinking it.

The water from the spring didn't taste

anything just like normal water but still, it was so damn refreshing! Enough to make him feel so good despite him just finished running for 20 minutes at full speed. Eren took out another empty water container then also filled it up with water from the spring. He planned to give them to both Mikasa and Armin.

After resting for awhile, Eren went out of the space once again to continued exercising. He jogged and run around like that and will rest inside the Spatial Farm when he got tired.

And just like that, 3 hours had passed by.

Eren was now exhausted so he decided to stop and went home. Arriving there, he saw Armin and Mikasa outside the house. It looks like they are waiting for him to return and when the two of them saw Eren, they immediately ran towards him.

" You're finally here Eren. Where did you go? We need to go to the plaza now and get our share of food for today. " Armin immediately said when he was in front of Eren.

" Right Eren, we need to be early so we will be the first on the line. " Mikasa added as she inspected Eren's body.

Although she's not smiling, she still seem to be in a good mood today. Eren was confused why but he didn't asked. For him, as long as she's happy then anything is fine.

" I'm sorry Mikasa, Armin but I can't go with you today either because I'm already exhausted. " Eren replied as he pretended to be exhausted.

He didn't want to go and line up for a piece of bread because he wanted to surprise them with some vegetable dish when they returned. He estimated that it will take them at least 3 hours before they will return. More than enough for his cabbages to mature and to cook it.

" Is that so, then you go and take a rest we will try to also get a share for you and even if we can't, let's just divide the bread that we can get. "

" En. Please take a rest Eren, we will go first. "

Although they heard Eren said that he will let them have a vegetable meal today, they didn't take his words seriously and thought that he is just joking around .

" Okay. Here take this water with you so you two will have something to drink if ever you get thirsty. Eren said as he handed the water container to each of them.

Mikasa and Armin accepted it before going away.

After seeing them leave, Eren also went inside the house to take a bath. Then after he was done, he entered his Spatial Farm once again.

Inside the Spatial farm, he saw that the cabbages are almost ready to be harvested. There's only around less than an hour before they fully matured . Eren didn't plan to just sit in there to wait so went inside the Thatched Hut and sleep there.

Just as he was dreaming beautifully, a sudden voice echoed.

[ Cabbages have matured, please collect them as soon as possible. ]

Eren woke up and quickly went out of the Hut. He then discovered that the cabbages has indeed matured already so he walk beside one of the cabbages then pick it up. Because they are inside the Spatial Farm, the cabbages are clean and can be eaten just like that but Eren still went towards the water spring then use it to rinse the cabbage before taking a bite.

Sweet and mildly spicy cabbage juice flowed down his mouth, and Eren couldn't help sighing. This flavor really was good. When Eren was on Earth, he especially liked eating cabbages . Fresh Cabbages taste especially delicious and can be eaten raw. And these cabbages grown in the farm tasted an unknown amount better than Earth cabbages.

" Hahahaha! This is so damn good! "

Eren burst into laughter from happiness, holding the cabbage and walking over to the thatched hut, where he picked up the collection basket and loudly shouting to the land.

" Collect! "

The cabbages in field shot out as if scooped up by a giant hand, one by one flying out and falling into the basket. But the basket never get filled. Eren bowed his head to look, discovering those cabbages disappeared as soon as they entered the basket. Just like magic!

Before long, all the cabbages was completely collected. Eren inspected the barn, and sure enough, the cabbages were all deposited inside, unexpectedly leaving behind numerous plant remains on the ground. It's a pity that he didn't have a pasture yet else he can use the as a fodders for the animals.

Eren didn't sell these cabbages but rather again bought a bag of seeds. At the same time he ordered the little shovel to start turning the soil, then continued planting this bag of seeds as well. These seeds had just been planted when he heard a 'ding ' sound, followed by a voice.
