56 Ch. 52 - Finish

"Jonathan! What's going on!" Martha asked from the house.

"Stay there and don't go out until I said so!" Jonathan said as he got out of the house and slowly approached the crater where the 'unknown' object crashed.

*Bang!*

Suddenly, the door to the spaceship blasted out and flew out as Yon-Rogg slowly climbed out with injuries all over his body.

"W-who are you?" Jonathan, with his trusty shovel asked with wariness and worries towards the injured man in front of him.

"H-help me." Yon-Rogg tried to take advantage of his kindness and asked for help.

Just when Jonathan was about to go down the crater and help him, Carol got out of the spaceship looking fine without any slight injuries.

"I suggest you don't do that, he's a criminal and would deceive you the moment he got what he wanted." She said as she walked towards Yon-Rogg and grabbed a handful of his hair and snapped his head to look at his face.

"Tell me. Why did you take me that day?" Carol asked.

"That was never my intention, you just happened to gain what I wanted." Yon-Rogg said with a simple smile on his face.

[Yon-Rogg, send us your location. We are now outside the C-53's atmosphere.]

Suddenly, Ronan's small hologram appeared on his wrist as Ronan spoke.

"Initiate firing immediately. Vers is a threat to Kree and must be eliminated at all cost." Yon-Rogg immediately said before Carol knocked him out.

"You just be Vers. Looks like this would be the last time I would see you." Only then that Ronan noticed her presence and said to her before he disappears.

"We'll see about that." Carol smirked, confident in her strength.

"Should we proceed, Lord Ronan?" Ronan's subordinate asked him as they stared at the planet in front of them, specifically C-53 or Earth.

"Deploy the Ballistic Warheads." Ronan ordered as he stared coldly towards C-53.

His subordinate nodded his head obediently before gesturing towards his fellow companions to launch the ballistic warheads or Missiles in short, just a bit stronger than an average missile.

Back on earth, when Carol saw this, she was prepared to intercept them all when countless small portals appeared in front of the flying missiled, intercepting them and swallowing them whole.

A bunch of new portals opened near the spaceships of Ronan where the Ballistic Warheads earlier flew out and headed towards the Spaceships.

*Boom!*

It was already too late to activate the energy shield as the Ballistic Warheads had hit their targets, albeit with a mix of reverse card.

"What happened? I don't think such a lowly planet has defense system advanced enough to not only intercept our warheads but even threw it back and without us knowing."

"I-I don't know, General. It must be that man over there." His subordinate replied to him in fear before pointing outside the windshield of spaceship and pointed at a lone blonde haired man with a very unusual height.

"Who is that?" Ronan squinted his eyes, trying to get a good look at the tall man that was just randomly flying around the area where they're facing.

"I-I don't know, General, perhaps their Leader?" His subordinate made an assumption.

"Leader? You told me earlier that C-53's leaders are divided and just got out of a world war." Ronan asked as his subordinate gulped in fear and nervousness.

"Doesn't matter, launch more warheads and deploy our drones. I want him dead by 5 minutes."

"Yes, General."

"Hmm? Did they stop? I haven't even started yet. Oh well, looks like I'll be the one to come close to them." Doflamingo said as he started floating towards the spaceships and when he saw that the other small spaceships started rushing up to him, Doflamingo guessed that Ronan must've want him dead by now.

"Too bad for him, I'm his enemy." Doflamingo smirked as 8 Kagunes sprouted from his back and he started rushing towards the small spaceships and the warheads.

*Boom!*

Doflamingo attached a string to a nearby warhead before using it to change directions and targeted a nearby drone.

Before the pilot of the drone could react, it was already too late as the warhead exploded along with the entire drone, killing the pilot inside.

Doflamingo repeated this process non-stop as the invaders slowly but surely started dwindling down like some ants getting stomped on.

"This is surely a good training. I could feel some sweats on me." Doflamingo stopped for a second as he wiped the sweat that has accumulated on his forehead.

"Hmm, maybe I should make a glove that could absorb liquid without a limit, so I could wipe my sweat using it." Doflamingo was enlightened by this problem, so he immediately came up with an idea that he would surely implement after this.

"He's heading towards us, General." The subordinate uttered in fear as he stepped back a little while Ronan just casted a glance at him.

"Don't be afraid, he's nothing but a mere human, we are the great Kree! We fear nothing!" Ronan scolded him, however deep down, he too was afraid at what he is seeing.

A man, flying on the clouds and decimating his whole army like they're nothing but Legos.

'Who is this man? Is he associated with the humans and the C-53? Or perhaps some kind of killing machine made by the other empires?' Ronan started asking himself questions as he was curious about the man in front of him, not only because of his strength, but also his purpose on why would he protect C-53 when he could just work to Galactic Empires, specifically the Kree Empire.

"Stop attacking, I wanna talk to him." Ronan got out of his thoughts as he raised his hand to order his subordinate to stop.

"Uhh, a-actually, General. We aren't attacking anymore. All of our Warheads are depleted and the drones were all destroyed. Actually, he's right in front beside us." Ronan could tell that his subordinate seems to be shivering in fear as he kept glancing by Ronan's side

Ronan was confused by his suddenly shiver and fearful expression, that is until someone tapped his shoulder in a casual manner.

"You must be Ronan the Loser." Doflamingo leaned his elbow over his shoulder as if they are close friends that is having a meet up.

"Who are you?" Ronan didn't bother with the way he was called a loser as he tried hard to keep his bearings as he didn't even notice that Doflamingo was already beside him, if Doflamingo is an enemy with a grudge, he'd surely be dead by now without him even noticing how he died.

"You don't need to know my name. Just so you know, that you are currently invading my planet with harmful intentions, now this will be where we decide whether you would surrender or not." Doflamingo smiled calmly, but Ronan could already feel as if he's inside a huge beast's mouth, threatening to swallow him whole once he made a small mistake.

"This must all be a misunderstanding, we just wanted Vers, a fugitive of the Kree Empire. I'm sure you won't like having a criminal on your planet, right? And besides, the Kree Empire would definitely appreciate your efforts if you would be kind to help us catch Vers." Ronan finally calmed down as he remembered that he has the Kree's backing and as long as he got out of here, he'd definitely come back here for vengeance. For now, he'll proceed with a peaceful approach, just so he could survive this. As a matter of fact, he doesn't even care about Vers anymore, Ronan may be a bit dumb sometimes but he's not completely dumb, he appreciates his life, especiallys since he has great ambitions and he won't just throw it here just for the sake of a woman that he doesn't even know.

"Here, how about this. Let's make a deal. I'll let you leave, but in exchange you leave your spaceship to me. I'm sure that you guys have some kind of emergency pond, right?" Doflamingo said with a smile as he squinted his eyes at Ronan, as if telling him to refuse so he could directly kill him.

"But I can't, this ship I-." Ronan was about to reason with Doflamingo and make him try to change conditions however, Doflamingo cuts him off.

"Did I stutter?" Doflamingo casted a glare at Ronan, making him grit his teeth and finally gave in. This spaceship has been with him for years and parting ways with it pains his heart so much, it's like seeing your wife go with another man in front of you but you can't do anything.

"Okay, we have two emergency pods. I'm sure everyone in this ship could leave." Ronan clenched his fists before loosening it up and walked away from the hall, followed by his cowardly subordinate who rans up to him, as he felt that he's more safer with Ronan than a man who could destroy spaceships with ease.

Ronan didn't even bother to fight back, like what he said earlier, he may be dumb sometimes but he's not completely dumb, he could see that fighting back would only result to death. He has seen Doflamfono's feats and to be honest, he's pretty much scared by now, this is the first time he has seen someone capable of what Doflamingo did earlier.

"Oh, and don't forget to leave some manuals on how to drive this ship." Doflamingo yelled to remind him.

Ronan didn't respond nor look back, but Doflamingo could tell that he heard him.

"Didn't think it would be this easy. But first, I should probably call Howard, that guy's been stuck on his lab for weeks. And he could be a great help to me in studying this spaceship." Doflamingo muttered as he opened a portal nearby him and the moment he do, he was met with a foul smell. He could also see Howard was tinkering with a device on his hand.

"What the fuck, Howard? What's with this room? Maria told me that you're stuck in your laboratory but I didn't expect it to be this worse, open the damn windows, for god's sake!" Doflamingo went in and started scolding.

Howard jumped out in fright as he accidentally dropped the device on his hand while he stared at Doflamingo, specifically at the portla behind him in shock.

"D-Doffy? What's going on? What is that? Is that some kind of Inter-Dimensional Gate technology? Holy shit! How did you even get this thing?! Hey, Doffy, name your price!" Howard ignored everything Doflamingo and started ranting about the portal, which annoyed Doflamingo greatly.

"Stop! I'm just here to invite you to something that will definitely shock you. Anyways, I got curious so tell me what you're on here first." Doflamingo asked as he waved his hand and the window started opening and the exhaust fan in the small kitched was turned on.

"Well, that's great." Howard muttered in jealousy, wishing that he also has the same power so he won't have a hard time reaching for his tools or something whenever he's submerged in his inventions.

"Anyways. Didn't you tell me a few weeks ago about making a suit that could protect us from hot weapons? Well, I got some inspiration from a cartoon that Tony used to hate when he's still a kid. I think it was Robotech or something." Howard explained as he walked to his workshop, while picking up the device that he dropped earlier and placed it on the table.

Howard then proceeded to show him a blueprint, that seems to be a bit familiar to Doflamingo.

"I call this project, Metal Man Project."
