Chapter 11: You will get use to it

   I shivered as I took a few steps backward. Holding both sides of the cloak I wore was the only thing stopping me from wetting myself as my lips quivered. I can't cry, I refused to cry as I blinked back the tears burning in my eyes.

     I bet I would look like a lost kitten now but what Alpha Rex only did was a point back at the position I just left.

    "I am sorry" My voice sounds hoarse "I have no explanation and I am sorry, Alpha Rex".

     Staring at me blankly as I took shaky steps towards him, Alpha Rex stood straight. His brows lifted as he silently turned and walked away.

      Wow, I escaped death today more than twice.

    'Follow me' I hear his voice in my head.

  Maybe not more than twice.

  Looking around as I followed Alpha Rex, the only thing that kept coming to my mind was not meeting any of the wicked wolves. Not someone like Camille or Jasper and his friends.

     I know you don't know Jasper because you haven't met him yet. He is the male version of Camile, always on my tail and wanting. The last time I saw him was two months ago. It happened that I was going to gather my laundry late one night when...

     "Beef or vegetarian?".

   I blinked. My jaw dropped as stared at Alpha Rex and the pile of food in front of me. I know am hungry but that's not the issue now, my problem is getting off this hall and never coming back.

    It's such a pain that I could not find Delta Axon, the moon goddess knows what I could have done to him. Maybe crying my eyes out and telling him how horrible he is would have helped.

    "Vegetarian" Alpha Rex said as he handed me a place.

   Staring at the vegetables on the plate I wish like hitting it off. It made me feel like a baby goat, learning how to eat with slices of cucumber, lettuce, cabbage, and even carrot.

     With a small smile on my face, I looked down at the plate and then at his face. For a while, I didn't feel scared, didn't feel like he would want to hurt me even if I yell at him but that's just Ashina misleading me to my doom.

     "I will take beef, Alpha Rex" I whispered staring at his shoes.

     I can vouch I heard him growl, maybe I pissed him off and when I looked up to his face, I froze. His eyes were pitch black indicating his wolf was taking over or trying to take over. A small smile spread across his face as he moved stray hair off my face and shrugged.

      "You can call me Mox," He said.

    I nodded and looked back down at his shoes, they seem more calming to look at than stare at his cold face. What was I expecting, An Alpha King having a smiley face would be the most ridiculous thing on earth.

     Standing behind him, I feel somehow protected. I feel like it's the first time I am walking in a big event like this, not as a kitchen worker, and haven't gotten any harassment.

     Even when I stare at the floor most of the time, I still have my eyes in the air, looking for Delta Axon. I just don't get it, putting me in such a problem and is now nowhere to be found.

     At any moment from now, the ball would still stop and announce the Alpha's mate and if he didn't find it, Camile would be chosen. For the sake of other girls and how brutal it would be, I pray Alpha Brook finds a mate. An Omega would be better to make him feel the shame he didn't want to feel with me.

      By then, every nook would be focused on the new Luna and that should be my chance to escape.

     'Don't think about it, Rain' Ashina growled 'You can barely survive in this park what makes you think you would do that out here.

     None of her business.

     I know I didn't survive because I haven't shifted and I could not heal. Looking at what Alpha Rex is selecting for me to eat from behind, I almost swore. I wished I had carried a bag to take as much food that would last me for days as I escaped.

      Moving, Alpha Rex would take a side glance to stare at me, I don't get it. He is also having the feelings that I am trying to escape because if he is having it, he better get prepared to...

     "Hey!" I flinched.

   With both hands on my butt cheeks, I turned back to see Jasper. He has his usual smirk on his face, that smirk I desperately want to wipe off.

      His dull gaze landed on my breast and good thing I am having it properly covered and he won't have any excuse to want to squeeze them this time.

    "Your ass is still soft" Jasper smirked, "Just like the last time".

     Gosh, I just want to kill him, to break his hands and make sure he never gets to squeeze my butt again.

      "What's wrong, Rain?" Jasper took a step forward "Has the Sun refused to..." His voice trailed off as he looked above my head.

    I can see it, that great fear written all over his now red face. Looking back, I found Alpha Rex glaring at him. How come I forgot us being together or didn't feel him tower over me?

      "Alpha Rex" Jasper whimpered "I..i.. I didn't see you before".

     Alpha Rex shrugged. His attention moved to the men walking toward Jasper and he moved his index finger.

      "Hope you get to use it as much as you can now because today would be the last day you use your eyes".
