CHAPTER 10

At the same night, the two party held a small dinner gathering between them and the three officials of the Beast Tribe and the Blood Moon Pack.

Redson who is the Alpha, Theodore who is the Beta, and the Delta and the head of the Sentinels that names are not mentioned by Redson.

Sentinels are like warriors or soldiers. Unlike the other packs that are currently still standing who requires and demands a complete victory, the Sentinels in the Blood Moon Pack that are being reorganized by the Alpha and Beta aren't required with this kind of heavy responsibility but required their full loyalty and act of Valor at all times.

The two people with Redson and Theodore are surprised to see Prinnx who is the head of the Hunters are accompanying the Saintess.

The Hunters are the people responsible of tracking and chasing the suspected and proven guilty criminals and spies. Somehow, they are also referred as the 'cleaners' who cleans the residues of the war, fight and even murders from and in their territory. In other words, they are the 'warriors of the dark'. And as the head of those warriors, Prinnx is called the 'Shadow'.

With the Satulary, or the healer and herbalist of the pack, Redson prepared a feast that Raiz usually like in hopes that Ana will also love them. Because deep inside of him, he still believes in 'that word' to be true and applies with the Saintess even though it's impossible.

A Saintess and a Holy Maiden at the same time is a creation of the two powerful figures in their world like the Beast God and Demon God. The Saintess is made up of the Creator and the Guardians of the Guardians with their pure and powerful powers with the most unique and untainted soul. That is why Redson is aware of the impossibility of his wild dream and yet, he continuously believed that 'it' is possible.

But, at the sight of the food served, Gabriel suddenly stood up, furious and was about to retaliate when Riegne stopped him calmly. And finally spoke.

"Can you please enlighten us what you mean by preparing such feast, Beast Lord?"

The Delta frowned at her question.

"What do you mean by that? Our Alpha and the Head Satulary made an effort to prepare these foods for the Saintess." He half-informed and half-complained.

"Are you seriously asking me that, young pup?" Riegne like she just heard a most unbelievable inquiry in her whole life.

"What you called me?" The young Delta asked.

"What I mean is... You are all aware what kind of being is the Saintess but you just served a feast fitted and a delicacy on top of that by the demons! Are you really going to serve these dishes to her holiness in guise of 'feast'?" Riegne asked furiously.

Redson, and his company are shocked with the revelation. Ana is just staring at the food and was about to take a bite from it when Prinnx held her utensil faster than Gabriel.

"Please, don't!" Gabriel pleaded, ignoring his own pride of being a Sword who is known for his speed and agility that are being beaten up by Prinnx effortlessly.

"They prepared it for me. It is not right for me to ignore and waste their food and efforts." Ana said with a smile.

"But—"

"If you don't mind, I will eat them on behalf of you, your holiness. For their efforts and food will not be wasted." Prinnx offered.

Ana looked at him, bewildered.

"Why?" She asked.

"Huh?" Prinnx is confused.

"Why are you doing such thing that I can manage? Are you concerned that they will harm me?" She asked completely.

Prinnx is stunned, but regained his composure after a breath.

"No, your holiness. I am not courageous enough to think about such thing. This humble self of mine is nothing but shamelessly concerned about your holiness, nothing more, nothing less." Prinnx denied the claim.

The young Delta lowered his head because of embarrassment. He idolizes the Shadow so much and now, he showed him an embarrassing side of him.

Ana stared at him. Weighing weather to trust him or not. But she realized something and turned to Redson.

"Correct me if I am wrong but... Did you prepared these while thinking of a certain person?" She asked.

Redson's eyes widen that immediately answered Ana's inquiry without a word.

"I guess that person is very special to you, Beast Lord. Is that a girl or a boy? Your Luna, perhaps?" She asked as she motioned Prinnx to start eating that he immediately obliged.

She placed her hand on top of her knuckle and watched Prinnx eat while waiting for Redson's reply.

The feast became a silent dining session between the two parties who holds each others beliefs and feelings from the recent conversation.

Redson's are embarrassed to even open their mouth in front of the Saintess who is now consuming the food she packed in advance from her hometown... That is actually insisted by Maximilian and Florentine.

Ana's side just stayed quiet while enjoying themselves with the silence they used to have even before descending. Gabriel and Riegne hold their pride as the 'victim'.

The dinner ended peacefully yet with an awkward atmosphere. Theodore noticed Gabriel's smirk as he get out the dining room. Theodore gasped and assumed that it's a negative thing for their side to mess with the earlier atmosphere aside from causing trouble to Prinnx.

But what he is wondering is how come that Raiz's favourite dishes are all delicacies from the Demon's and not from the usual place she originated.

He turned to Redson who is also dumbfounded from his seat.

Do they really know 'everything' about Raiz? Because if not, it only means that he is being deceived up until now that she is no longer in the land of the living.

'What will happen if she really deceived him?' He asked himself, without expecting to witness such demise.

He sighed and then left the room, leaving Redson in trance.
