Food

Walking into a normal looking restaurant, we were quickly given weird looks, but they were mostly directed towards Carol.

After taking our seat, a waiter came over to take our order.

"Are you ready to eat?" The waiter asked, a smile on his face.

"Yes, and I would like some beef, a little more beef, and a lot more beef" I replied, making the waiter look at me with confusion.

"Just get me a lot of beef" I simplified myself.

"Ah... yes" he answered, regaining his composure and facing Carol.

"And what might your order be?" he asked Carol, whom gave me a little glare, before ordering an apple pie.

Taking our order, the waiter smiled and left.

"What do you know" Carol asked, her hands crossed.

"Not much, just that you're not a kree" I replied, making her glare at me with clear hostility.

"You must be joking" she denied, making me chuckle.

"I'm not" I replied, my serious face at full force.

"What proof do you have!" she yelled, making her draw gazes.

"Before that, lets eat" I said, breaking the previous mood.

"Tell-" before she could continue, the approaching figure of the waiter, holding our food could be seen.

"Hope you enjoy" the waiter said, as he placed the food on the table.

"I sure will" I said, grabbing my fork and eating a piece of the beef.

"Yum" I muttered, as I savored the delicious meat in my mouth.

At the corner of my eye, I could see Carol look at her pie with hesitation.

"Maybe eating the food can make you remember something?" I suggested, causing her to click her tounge and take a spoon full.

As she put the spoon in her mouth, she slowly chewed the pie, her left hand slowly making it unto her cheek.

"This Is delicious" she remarked, taking a few more spoons.

No matter how much memory you loose, the taste of food will never abandon you.

After almost finishing the entire thing, she came to a realization.

"Why do I feel like I've eaten this before?" She asked, turning towards me.

"It's like I said, you're not a kree but a human" I explained, making her rethink her entire life.

"You were brainwashed by the krees, and have lost many of your earthly memories" I said, as my phone rang.

[Hello?, you got her?] I said through the phone.

[Yeah, I don't get how kidnapping someone can help with the coming enemies, but ok] Fury replied through the phone.

[You'll see soon] I answered, chuckling as I cut the phone.

"Let's finish our food, we have somewhere to go" I said, making Carol look at me uncertainty.

"Your questions will be answered soon enough" I assured, as I ate my beef, my sharp teeth tearing through the meat.

(3rd Pov)

After the meal, Leo payed for the food and exited the restaurant with Carol.

"hold up" she said, as they got outside.

"How do you know all this?" Carol asked, making Leo turn towards her.

"I'll tell you, if you're wife material" Leo joked with a smile, it was momentary, but her eyes flashed with a certain glint

"I shouldn't have asked" she sighed, as she began to walk away.

"Thats the wrong way" Leo called out, pointing towards another direction, causing her to stop and walk towards the pointed direction.

...

After a bit of walking, Leo and Carol walked into a normal looking building.

"If this is some kind of trap..." Carol warned, her fists glowing with amber like energy.

"Yeah it's not" Leo replied tiredly, as he opened a room door.

...

"You're still a kidnapper" a dark skinned woman said, as she glared at Fury, whom was sitting on a chair and drinking orange juice.

"Can't deny that" Fury replied, as he drank his juice.

"And no matter how many times you say it, Carol is dead!" the woman yelled, sadness overcoming her.

As tears started to make their way down her face, the door opened, revealing Leo and Carol.

"Yo" Leo greeted, as he walked towards Fury, leaving Carol at the door.

"Carol?... is that really you?" The woman gasped, trying to contain her words.

"... I know you..." Carol muttered in suprise, as the woman hugged her.

"Carol... you are alive" Leo just walked to the kitchen, which had a fridge, and took an apple juice.

"I'm cool ain't I?" Leo said, as he drank the juice.

"Whatever rocks your boat" Fury replied, as he finished his juice.

"Refil" he said, as he stood up and walked into the kitchen.

"I'll be outside, come if you need me" Leo said, as he went out, letting the two have their time.
