71 Jean Grey

Alex's actions remained a mystery to others, but Charles and Eric had their suspicions. These two individuals were far from foolish, and Alex's actions didn't go unnoticed, even if they lacked concrete evidence.

"Alex, my friend, I hope you can remain true to yourself despite the power you possess. I've already lost my brother Eric, and I don't want to lose you as well," Charles expressed, his gaze penetrating. If Alex were to pose a threat to the world, Charles would not hesitate to intervene.

"Reversing the future... Next, it's the storyline of Wolverine's transformation." Alex, standing atop a tall building, observed the scenery below, gently swirling the wine glass in his hand.

"The transformation of Wolverine is inevitable, but... Apocalypse..." Alex mused deeply, shifting his focus towards the far southeast, Africa.

The Wolverine storyline did not necessitate Alex's intervention, and the intriguing aspect of a certain "Jean Grey" was worth observing but not urgent.

"At this moment, one of the most powerful Mutant, 'Jean Grey,' is still just a child."

Reflecting on the tragic tale of "Phoenix," Alex felt a sense of duty—a mission to "save the poor girl."

"Raven... huh? Are those folks going 'crazy'?"

Using his psychic abilities, Alex sensed that Raven, Emma, and Jessica were enjoying their time in Paris, the capital of romance.

Alex grinned, "If that's the case, then I'll handle this myself. It's an excellent opportunity to get more powerful."

With a step forward, Alex harnessed his teleportation abilities, swiftly traversing the vast distance.

...

This was a quiet town.

The Greys, a young couple, and their six-year-old daughter, "Jean Grey," led an ordinary and serene life in this town.

Unbeknownst to the young Greys, their daughter would one day become a force to be reckoned with.

"Is Jean Grey still at school?" Alex wondered aloud as he observed the peaceful scene.

Releasing his psychic power, Alex scanned the surroundings and discovered that the six-year-old "Phoenix" was attending the town's elementary school, having just entered the first grade.

"Who would have thought such an innocent girl will become the dark phoenix!"

Alex sighted, shaking his head, and proceeded to knock on the door of the Grey residence.

"Who is it?" Mr. Grey inquired, eyeing the handsome young man at the door.

"It's about your daughter. I believe you've noticed that she's different," Alex spoke gently.

"Who are you?" The Greys exhibited clear wariness towards Alex.

"My name is Alex Stark. I presume you've heard of Stark Industries. Your daughter is like me." Alex smiled faintly, twirling a coin in his hand.

The Grey couple looked taken aback. Jean, had already displayed remarkable differences even at a young age. The Greys had noticed it long ago. Observing Alex's abilities and learning about his background, they discussed for a while before addressing Alex.

"Jean is still at school."

"Don't worry about that. I'll enroll her in the best school and teach her how to control her abilities. You're always welcome to visit her, and I'll take good care of her," Alex reassured with a smile.

After much hesitation, the Greys accepted Alex's offer, who promptly handed them a million dollars as a gesture of sincerity. He explained that every Mutant is valuable and assured the Greys that he had no intention of harming their daughter.

The Greys provided the name of Jean's school, although Alex didn't need it; he knew where the school was.

.....

Arriving at the school gate, Alex strolled onto the campus lawn, where he spotted a little girl sitting under a tree, engrossed in painting.

With fiery red hair, big bright eyes, and a hint of baby fat, the future's terrifying "Phoenix" appeared as nothing more than an innocent little girl.

Alex effortlessly perplexed the guard at the door using his psychic powers and entered.

All he needed to do now was to take this little one away.

"What are you painting?" Alex inquired.

"Flowers!" Jean Grey responded without raising her head, the paintbrush in her hand continuing its strokes on the drawing board.

Yet, the flowers she painted were a vivid shade of red, resembling a blazing flame.

"The flowers you paint... are very special!" Alex marveled silently. Even without Awakening, the influence of the Phoenix had permeated every aspect of Jean.

Jean continued to paint, Alex observing quietly.

In her hands, the flower gradually transformed, ultimately taking on the hazy form of a fiery phoenix.
