70 Ability

"Eh? What's going on?" Everyone exchanged puzzled glances, observing Logan's seemingly amnesiac demeanor.

"Have you... regressed?" Charles sensed the shift in Logan's soul, as if it had undergone yet another transformation. This left him with a sense of unease.

Trisk had awakened the Mutant gene in Logan, promising to thwart the "Sentry Project" and refrain from developing weapons against Mutants in the future. Had this alteration reshaped the future?

But according to quantum theory, different choices lead to divergent "futures." Would the changes we make now impact Logan's future? Would the future Logan cease to exist?

"The power of time is truly astonishing, beyond our comprehension. Perhaps... only someday in the future will I witness Logan returning to his original timeline," Charles mused, shaking his head. Maybe... the future Logan has vanished forever.

"Hey! Who are you? How did I end up here?" Logan's face twisted with rage as his fists clenched, bone spurs emerging. A low growl, reminiscent of a wild beast, emanated from his throat.

"Logan, what's going on?" Eric, growing increasingly frustrated, yelled at the bewildered Logan.

"Huh? I remember now! You, and you!" Logan pointed at Erik and Charles. "You two scoundrels approached me a few years ago! I knew you weren't up to any good! Trying to punish me? I won't stand for it!"

With a wild roar, Logan swung his claws, lunging towards Charles. The razor-sharp bone spurs aimed at Charles.

"Hey! What do you think you're doing?" Hank transformed into a blue-haired Beast, letting out a roar as he swiftly slapped Logan away, preventing the attack on Charles.

"This... How do you guys get along?"

Trisk recoiled, feeling that the relationships among Mutants were rough and perilous.

"Uh... It's just a joke! A joke! In reality, we're all quite amiable! Everyone's friendly! We're all comrades!"

Hank chuckled awkwardly, swiftly attempting to reassure Trisk.

"Fuck you."

Wolverine's furious roar cut off Hank's explanation. With sharp bone spurs and powerful fists, Logan unleashed his violent side, resembling a ferocious beast on a rampage.

Beast and the werewolf engaged in a fierce brawl, creating a whirlwind of strong winds and echoing roars.

"Well, that's certainly friendly!"

Trisk shrugged. "Your game is quite entertaining! Take your time with it!"

Holding the file box, Trisk turned and departed.

"It seems... it's settled?"

Charles shrugged. "Trisk, wait for me. I have some questions to discuss with you."

With that, Charles followed Trisk, paying little attention to the ongoing brawl between the two.

"The future... just changed like that? Without us doing anything? What's going on?"

Eric suddenly felt a sense of disbelief. After all the effort, all the struggle, the issue seemed to be resolved without any direct intervention. How could this be?

At this point, Eric began to formulate a vague hypothesis. Trisk's spontaneous Awakening of the Mutant gene couldn't be without reason.

Alex didn't follow them. During their earlier dispute, Alex had proposed using psychic powers to manipulate the minds of all those hostile to Mutants.

"So far, no one knows what Alex's Ability is. Even if it's just Ability copying, it's only Alex's claim. Could his Ability be more potent than we think?" Eric pondered this in his mind.

Watching Trisk walk away, Eric realized he had been heading in the wrong direction by opposing humans. The true solution to the Mutant crisis lay in transforming all humans into Mutants.

"Yes, transforming all humans into Mutants is the path I will advocate for in the future!" Eric's eyes gleamed with determination.

Alex hadn't anticipated that his intervention would sow suspicion between Charles and Eric and redirect Eric toward the events of X-Men 1.

On the other side.

"Trisk, what are your plans for the future?" Charles caught up with Trisk, posing the question.

While the inquiry seemed casual, it wasn't the true purpose. Simultaneously, Charles's psychic power delved into Trisk's mind.

"No traces left? Is it that thorough?"

After exploring Trisk's memories, Charles found everything to be normal. It appeared that Trisk's awakening Mutant gene was genuinely his own.

"The more normal it seems the more abnormal it really is!" Charles shook his head inwardly. "To reverse the future, there must be a change. Trisk's awakening Mutant gene is the most significant alteration. So, this must be Alex's doing. Is this his Ability? To grant others Mutant abilities?"
