Chapter 52: Runes

Law scrolled through all the books about runes. There were only two good rune methods with complete knowledge in the library. One of them is the one using Eldritch magic and the other is using Atlantis magic.

He was surprised to know that there was an Atlantis in the Marvel world. As far as he knew Atlantis was a DC universe thing but he had not read much of the comics so he didn't know much about it.

Although he was relieved to know that Atlantis had been destroyed a millennium ago. The only thing left of it was its magical knowledge and some of it's artifacts.

Law didn't have to learn the entire magic. He needed to learn how they apply runes using magic and then the inner workings of each rune that he wanted to learn.

He didn't find any runes as great as the Asgardian runes which was on Destroyer.

The runes he found interesting and wanted to use on his Sentinels in the future were - flight rune, Toughness, protection, detect and Stronger runes.

Flight rune was similar to the cloak that Strange used. He could make Sentinels fly using energy but that would just be a waste.

The runes will be charged by magic and once they are down they would charge themselves without any external help. The sentinels would be able to fly for a month nonstop with one full charge.

The other runes were similar and their names defined what they do. Toughness would increase it's durability, protection would create a barrier that would also help it against magical attacks, detect would be used as the Sentinels observation haki and stronger would increase it's physical strength.

Although these runes were not catchy and looked simple, it would help the Sentinels the most and would cover their weaknesses.

The last rune he found useful was from Eldritch magic. The rune would neglect magnetic forces working on it. If he had to say, it would be the most useful rune after protection.

He was excited to learn these runes instantly but then he realised something important that he would not be able to apply all these runes on a Sentinel.

He was debating whether to go ahead and just kill magneto. That way he wouldn't need the anti magneto rune.

"Oh well, Let's see how many runes I can get in one Sentinel first. If I can get all of them, Magneto lives or else he dies." Law said proud of the fact that he got an easy solution for such a complex problem.

He then closed the book as it was now time for him to go back and learn mirror dimension magic and how to use Astral Projection from the bald one.

He had tried to use Kisuke's method to leave his soul but since the God has sealed his soul to avoid his spiritual pressure leaking out, he couldn't do it.

He figured he could get over this by using Astral Projection and gaining access to astral dimension. This was also his trump card against Dormamu.

This way he could use his spiritual pressure against Dormamu. The soul pressure of a one of the Shinigami captains is nothing to scoff at. Law was pretty sure Dormamu wouldn't even able to move under this pressure.

"Alright let's get started with mirror dimension magic." Ancient One said

"The Mirror Dimension is a parallel dimension that allows the user to practice their magical abilities and fight their enemies without the damage to the surroundings in the real world." Ancient One lectured

"One could manipulate the objects like buildings in the mirror dimension with sufficient mastery." She then took a pause hesitating to say her next words but then with a sigh she said it "Those who use the power of the Dark Dimension have an advantage in mirror dimension as they have a stronger control over space and matter than they usually would, to the point of being able to fold and warp space in reality." [A/N: I am not making this up. Even I was shocked to know that she could do it.]

She paused to look at Law's reaction but she saw nothing on it.

"You could do the same thing with your ability. It was hard to spot at first but I could feel a magical sphere whenever you teleported. In fact I could even feel some aspects of reality magic on it. I would love to ask you about how you did it but I know you have to keep your secrets. Anyways, Using your ability you wouldn't have to master the mirror dimension to a large degree since you can use your ability to get the similar results." She ended her lecture with that.

'Is she talking about my ROOM? It has reality magic in it!!? No that can't be.... It's a devil fruit which is not related to magic. Maybe it's not reality magic but something like Reality Law or Reality aspect or something along the lines. That would explain how I affect reality by switching people's personalities/ souls among other things. Seems like Trafalgar Law didn't completely explore the abilities of his fruit. I could try and develop some of my own abilities. It may also help me increase in Trafalgar Law's template.' Law thought to himself.

For the next week he learned how to open mirror dimension and how to force people into it.

Next he learned about specifics about how to access his astral soul from ancient one. After taking all the details, he went to the mirror dimension alone and tried it. He was successful in his third attempt and the results were satisfying.

He decided he would go and deal with Dormamu the next month after he was knowledgeable enough to handle unexpected situations.
