Planning the Operation

"The current leader of Hydra is Wilfred Malick. Not just that, but Malick's goal is not only to occupy the land of Europe... His goal is to destroy half of the earth and then rule the other half!"

Hearing this horrific message, most of the people in the command were squinting their eyes. Most of them felt a sense of immaturity about this Wilfred Malick.

Everyone began whispering and murmuring about the findings.

"The enemy's leader is a madman? Maybe we can throw him into an insane asylum after waking him up from his delusions." A Brigadier General said while snorting.

Another Officer heard the General respond, "He thinks he is a god, but when he meets my fist that guy will beg for mercy."

Carter thoughtfully whispered to Steve, "This may be the reason behind the discoordination between government and the organization leaders..."

Steve nodded in agreement while thinking about the information to himself. Everyone in the room spent a few moments digesting the information.

...

The Colonel Officer raised his voice and solemnly said, "We also got some more nightmarish information which backs the plan of his..."

"Malick has stolen the atomic weapon designs from Igor Kurchatov and has a plethora of bombs all over Western Europe, some of which have been enhanced by an unknown blue energy explosive. We have confirmed a few locations already carrying atomic and another type of bomb with the blue energy!"

Everyone's eyes widened with the news, as the Colonel continued talking, "It is also possible that Malick will fly to the United States on a plane tonight, and as long as he crosses the Atlantic Ocean, the entire East Coast will be flattened in less than an hour!"

"How much of this is confirmed to be true?" General Eisenhower asked simply.

The Colonel responded instantly while sweating, "Malick's new explosive substance is over 1000x the power of nitroglycerin, so his plans might succeed depending on the stockpile he accumulated in the east..."

"The advantage is that the only way for him to detonate it is with his U.S. partners and Malick's keycode. The trip to the United States he is making is a leak with a small chance of being true."

Kyle interrupted while standing up from his seat and raising his hand, "How much time is left before the plane leaves?"

The Colonel Officer quickly checked his watch and replied, "Not even one minute more than twelve hours. The plane will take off at exactly 7:30 PM."

'That's more than enough time. I don't see why there are any worries. Even if Malick does not board the plane, he can't activate anything with just the keycode since he needs his business partner's intervention.' Kyle thought to himself as he nodded confidently while sitting back down.

"So why can't we just find that guy before he even has a chance of leaving the country? I'm suggesting this to you since it is unlikely for Malick to be very Cognito about this." General Eisenhower said with a sigh.

...

He was turning to the Colonel waiting for a positive answer.

The Colonel Officer shook his head and said, "The biggest problem now is that the last base of the Hydra organization is not on any maps or surveillance. It is well hidden and must be at least 500 feet underground. We are currently finding out more. Until then we are in a deadlock between the government and Hydra."

"I have an idea." Kyle, who has been mostly silent, said: "If we send troops directly into German land, Malick's men will shut their underground doors while staying closed off. So I suggest sending someone to America to track his partners with the detonators..."

"We then leak the information about that part secretly to the Germans. With this, we have a chance of deactivating the bomb and luring Malick out by making him rush to go to America faster. This way, Malick will be forced out, or eventually, have the keycode wind up useless!"

Hearing this plan, everyone in the room felt slightly shocked. It was an almost flawless plan thought of instantly. There was just one question everyone had: 'Who would take the mission to search for the people in America?'

No one would want to take the mission since it might be extremely dangerous and prove almost useless. The achievements gained would be zero if they die or if Malick came out before the Allies obtain the detonators.

"Then let me go." Steve shrugged off the pressure indifferently. Even if he was not suited for reconnaissance, Steve knew that since Kyle suggested it, it meant that Kyle wanted to also participate. Rather than leave Kyle to go alone, Steve knew it would be best to join his friend.

"No." Kyle vetoed and looked at Steve. "You are good at attacking. It is more appropriate to lead an army than look for a needle in a haystack. I am more suited to surveying and spying, so I will go with a small group of elites. It is better not to bring two Super Soldiers together on a spy mission anyway."

The last sentences spoken made Eisenhower almost laugh when he thought about Kyle's complex, yet very strategic mind.

The people in the command room did not deny Kyle's words but instead felt a strange sense that Kyle was not speaking to the army, but rather to a group of comrades. It eased them when thinking of the world's fate and history being at risk, not to mention countless lives.

Still, even Kyle had to admit that it was Steve who was better suited for battle presence.

The deterrence of Steve's patriotic presence on the battlefield is no less than a moral weapon. It lowers the enemy's and increases the ally's morale.

'After all, he is someone who has had movies based around him. I don't need to be jealous, but recognize the time and place to use my strength. This is also for my best interests.' Kyle thought with his eyes closed with a smile.

The Colonel Officer, also half-smiling, said jokingly, "To tell you the truth. If I were Hydra and saw Colonel Kell break into my base, I would choose to run in the other direction. Although I agree with your plan, please keep in mind your battlefield importance. If we need to follow through, please rest your mind and body while it's still possible."

"I'll take that as a compliment," Kyle said as he looked at both hands and just noticed his fingernails were regrown some time ago. When he noticed it, Kyle canceled his Mystical Devil illusion on them.

...

"Although the plan proposed is well thought out, please let me go." Steve stood up and said calmly: "As a captain of the United States, I will be able to attract the Hydra organization out of their hole easier in America. I am a suitable candidate for a mission like this."

Kyle looked at Steve, who was resolute and upright. There was no such thing as a refusal in his mind. Seeing the confidence, Kyle said, "You, Captain America, are the hardest shield of our alliance. If our shield retreats into our territory, we may as well surrender our necks to the enemy!"

General Eisenhower interrupted to say, "The situation is urgent, if the plane is a decoy or a fake leak, then we will proceed with Plan B which Colonel Kell provided. We can discuss adjustments to Plan B in a couple of minutes, for now, we will send the Commandos to check the plane."

...

After the Colonel finished his speech, the table was covered in possible places for the detonators to be held. Kyle was given the right to name the mission since he mostly designed it.

Standing up the General told everyone, "We shall run this mission for two years! Commencing Plan A of Operation: Stone of Power! This mission will destroy the German's last spark! We shall send the madman to hell without mercy!"

...

==================

Six hours later, inside a hotel room.

The sun was shining through the window, and the snow in the mountain forest outside reflected a dazzling light.

Kyle sat on an oak chair smiling. He was reading a book while talking to himself, "It seems I will need a new plan since 'he' isn't born yet..."
