Radioactive Spider Box

Early the next morning, Kyle was woken up by a soldier, conveying instructions from Dwight Eisenhower to go directly to another base of command.

Kyle, unfortunately, could not even discuss refusal at this time since it was his superior giving the order.

Still, the box of spiders was there to be a light which shinned on his bad mood. It was something he was constantly thinking about since last night.

Kyle conclusively refused to inject himself using the spiders from TRN701, 1610, TRN852, 96283, or TRN700. Of course, it would go without too much pain since his tolerance and body were enhanced through other Cards, but he still rejected the idea.

'Although it was safe for a human body like Peter Parker's to be injected with the venom, would there be any other side effects? What if it limits my possibly infinite potential, or damages me? Plus, if I am to obtain a spider power, I want them all since my greed is endless.' Kyle was thinking to himself, ultimately knowing that this was the best choice.

He quickly rejected the experimental idea that he can take 5 different spider bites since that was idiotic to test without proof. Kyle did not realize it, but he was unconsciously being affected by the scientific Cards he has accumulated over time.

Kyle looked down at all five spider abilities contained in each spider. 'The good news is that I do not need to use the abilities in the war, since my current abilities are enough. As long as I find a suitable host for my spiders, I can just extract these abilities and gain a copy for myself!'

They all granted different abilities that were very powerful.

Kyle liked that each spider grants different spider-related powers from Radioactive Spider Bite. Once more, Kyle looked at each of the spider's biting abilities.

Unfortunately, the only major difference was the organic webbing and bio-electrical venom between each spider.

Just because that was true, it didn't change the fact that they were basically generators for Blue Cards!

Once Kyle could find a smart way to deal with these spiders, it would become a gold mine!

"Thank you for answering my prayers everyone, your blessings on this golden goose are already showing!"

After simply washing his face, decided to refrain from using his [Sneak] to teleport, and called for a ride to pick him up. Kyle did not forget to wear his special gladius sword on his hip while going outside.

Deciding not to drag on any longer, Kyle bolted out to the car and gave them instructions to the base.

Upon arriving at the door of the brightly lit command room, Kyle was surprised to find that Steve, who was wearing his Captain America suit, arrived early.

There were many officials among the people gathered. Howard, Carter, Fury, Officers, and a dozen war analysts were on the scene, making the seating at the table almost full.

"It's such a shame that I was called here without a greeting," Kyle said, stepping into the command room.

"Mr. Kell! It's so good to see you!" Seeing Kyle, the analysts and certain officers gave a positive salute with an admirable expression. Some of them envied Kyle, but most felt a deep respect for his heroic actions and nature.

Howard shook his head and laughed: "It's hard to believe that despite being a superhero, you are always last to arrive."

"I thought you were a sex maniac that refused to talk to anyone but girls. It seems that despite this, you are the first to greet men by calling them your hero." Kyle smiled while responding with sarcasm.

'Son of a bitch...' Howard thought as he felt his eye twitching slightly.

"Officer Kell, sit." General Eisenhower said while beckoning. He purposefully lets him sit in the open space next to him to show display his intention to keep Kyle close to the army.

An asset as unpredictable yet useful as Kyle was something the military knew they had to display and hold on to. While they were advancing technology, Kyle could serve as a symbol for advancing propaganda and publicity using these army tactics.

In truth, the military never put 100% in Kyle, but based on his behavior, most of the higher-ups could trust that he would follow the army for benefits like everyone else. The ranks and positions were given to cement their loyalty in the army, but also keep them wanting more.

Fury sat in the seat, completely still without saying a word, as if analyzing every movement of the people around him. He even seemed to notice the hidden meaning behind the General's motivation for Kyle.

Kyle knew that when meetings like these were held, some big mission was being discussed, nothing like the small ones he has been doing recently. With a dignified face, Kyle drew a few Cards that could make others feel extra charm for a temporary period.

He also did not hesitate to draw Cards that could clear his mind for thinking clearer.

Feeling not only his face, but his mind relaxed, Kyle felt he was ready for the meeting to commence.

A man in a Colonel's uniform in front of the room pointed to a map.

The man waved his hand and urged people to listen to his strategic design: "I have prepared a lecture on the information collected over the last few weeks. If you are just arriving and are not too late, just find a place to sit down while I go over it once more."

Kyle nodded. The simple wave of gestures was a response to Kyle himself. The man was most likely silently poking at Kyle, but he did not mind.

In any case, the arrival of Kyle himself has in general, eased the atmosphere of the command room, for some inexplicable reason. Since entering, he gave off the aura of a strong yet generous phoenix.

Coupled with his young looks and merit-filled uniform, the Officers felt a sense of inferiority and submission.

The crowded people relaxed a lot, and they were completely silent waiting for information.

This is the exclusive charm that symbolizes the hero of the people. Although everyone could make machines and weapons stronger than a person, it was always a human that carried the greater influence.

Although Kyle used Cards to help himself, he did not do this for others. This is a prime example that it is not only the name of the identity that is respected but also the presence created by the actual personal record and the number of killings.

"Then I will get into the subject." The Colonel Officer coughed, noticing the change in the room, and said awkwardly, "Last night, the intelligence gatherers learned of a very urgent message from Doctor Hugo Adelberg."

"The current leader of Hydra is Wilfred Malick. Not just that, but Malick's goal is not only to occupy the land of Europe... His goal is to destroy half of the earth and then rule the other half!"
