21 Creating new language and actual spell circles(chapter 21)

With a surge of effort, Adam finally succeeded in casting the mana prison spell, enclosing R'ym'r within its confines. "You think this would contain me, mortal?" R'ym'r snarled, thrashing against his magical prison. Adam strained to maintain the spell, his brow furrowed in concentration.

Blade and Bloodline approached Adam, offering their support. "Not bad, kid. Not bad," Blade remarked, a hint of surprise in his voice. Adam managed a smile amidst his exertion. "Well, yeah. Seal his ass. I don't know how much longer I can hold this freak," he replied, his voice strained.

Blade retrieved a tower-like object and began drawing a spell circle, while Adam took out his notebook to make notes of the spell circle. Bloodline glanced over his shoulder, chuckling softly. "You're weird. I like you," she remarked, her admiration evident. With the spell cast, R'ym'r was imprisoned within the tower-like object.

"Well, one immortal vampire sealed away," Blade declared, stowing away the tower. He turned to Adam, gratitude shining in his eyes. "Thank you for your help, kid. I owe you one," he said sincerely. Adam nodded, a sense of camaraderie forming between them. "I'll hold you to it. And please, call me Adam. Just a question, is this made from a magical material?" he inquired, handing back the amulet that had protected him from vampire bites.

Blade nodded. "Well, yeah, among other spells," he confirmed, a smile playing on his lips. Adam pondered this thoughtfully before replying, "It was nice knowing you, Blade. Stay safe." With a wave goodbye, Blade and Bloodline departed, leaving Adam to find his way back, his mind already spinning with thoughts of the next challenge that lay ahead.

In his boat home, Adam sat at his work desk, freshly adorned in new clothes he had bought after his visit to the bustling Brooklyn subway station. With a bit of magic string, he had enough cash to last for a few days. His notebook lay open before him, revealing the intricate circle that Blade had drawn. Symbols and patterns adorned the circle, their meanings eluding Adam's understanding.

"So, I can create spells using symbols and patterns, which I kinda knew," he mused, tapping his pen against his chin. "I've been using images to create the exact thing I want, like a sword for magic sword or string for magic string." He glanced at his grimoire, pondering. "But using images is kind of primitive."

Studying the spell circle, Adam contemplated further. "But symbols have meaning. I don't know what any of these symbols mean, and I'm not going to Strange for help, or any other sorcerer for that matter." He sighed, staring at the symbols intently.

Suddenly, an idea sparked in his mind. "Wait, why do I need their symbols to cast spells? heck, when did I ever use other sorcerers' spells? " His eyes widened with realization. "I created my own spells, so why should I use anyone else's symbols?"

Rummaging through his boxes, Adam finally found what he was looking for—a book, empty save for its brown leather cover. "Symbols have meaning, like alphabets have meaning. These magic symbols were made by someone or something as a way to express their intent," he reasoned excitedly.

Grabbing a pencil, Adam began to draw. Hours passed with erasing, redrawing, and frustration until, with the sun setting and rising behind him, he finally had a complete alphabet. Each letter was unique. Seeing this, Adam smiled, chuckling nervously. "Now, how do I make these letters work?"

With the new book, originally bought as his own spell model notebook, repurposed as his magic alphabet and symbols guide, Adam pondered his next steps. "My first guess: construct the specific word with the elements to complement the word's meaning, like I do with spell models."

Entering his sea of consciousness, where spell models, mana particles, and the pearl floated around, Adam selected his first word: "heal." Activating his spiritual force, he began to construct the word using nature mana. "H," resembling a sickle with a line underneath it. "E," a zigzag downward arrow. "A," an even more outrageous downward arrow. And "L." But as he crafted the letters, they felt... empty.

Unexpectedly, the magic words disassembled themselves, collapsing like a stack of sticks without support. "Well, I didn't expect it to be easy," Adam remarked, undeterred. Trial and error was part of the process, and he was ready to face it head-on.

In a familiar park, now bustling with more people, Adam sat reading a book while the magic string flailed around him. It was the only spell invincible to ordinary people, so he used it to level both the spell and his spiritual force while figuring out why his new magic letters kept crumbling. This task led him to put a hold on creating new spells, focusing instead on accumulating more mana. He diligently studied the architecture book, convinced that the problem lay in the structural integrity of the words, and repeated a cycle of meditation, spellcasting, and learning, ensuring not a single second went to waste.

Inside his boat home, Adam sat with bags under his eyes, facepalming in frustration. "I am stupid," he groaned, staring at the papers scattered in front of him. Each sheet contained a portion of the spell circle he had copied from Blade. "I can't believe I forgot the supports," he muttered, referring to the circles and squares surrounding the symbols, like pillars holding up the structure of the spell. "It's in the name as well, spell circle."

Realization dawned on him. "No wonder every spell has these circles. They're like pillars." Quickly coming to this conclusion, Adam entered his sea of consciousness. This time, he didn't waste a moment. Activating his spiritual force, he began by creating a large circle twice the size of his head. Inside it, he fashioned a square that fit perfectly, followed by the four letters H, E, A, and L at each corner, connecting them with another square. This stabilized the words, holding them in place as if they were nailed down. Seeing that the letters didn't disappear as they had before, Adam couldn't contain his joy. "Yes, yes, finally!"

A/N yay, another chapter, lucky bastards, anyways, poor adam, he soo happy, he doesn't know what is going to happen in the next chapter. Also this would the start of Adam true spell making, his spells would actually look like a spell and not an energy construct, before before you say it i know not all spell look like a circle but spell circles are the most recognised spells
