Nice historical novel! I love reading Empress, Emperor, Crown Prince, Consort and Concubines stories and get excited in the scheming and backstabbing of the royal family. There are only four chapters so far and the characters already come to life! The Author is amazing in giving life to the characters. Hoping to read more chapters and follow Ni Qing into the palace. Exciting, intriguing, and a suspenseful read for me! Good job Author! Keep it up!

I intrigued by the theme of royal love that my idol writer chose this time. The way the story begin was very sweet and heart pumping. I can imagine if this story develop into visual like a movie. it will attach me and so visual catching. C.o.m.p.e.l.l.i.n.g and A.r.o.u.s.i.n.g! Great written historical romance and immersive details. Deep and well written character leads and very great premise. I find the writing here is up to the professional standard, little to no grammar mistake. I like the writing style and the dialogue writing is fresh and feel alive, as I could feel the atmosphere that was being portrayed in the background. Story development has been good so far, the anticipation and guessing keeps me at the edge every time. I really like this Ni Qing and Jin Yu, they're nowhere near perfect but I find them complement each other well. Lovely characters I must add. Very recommended book for those who are into great quality story and very good historical romance. Best luck to you author! Perhaps, if you don't mind me asking, how many chapters you're planning for this book author?

10 chapters in and I can say this is a good novel. However, this novel is a diamond in the rough and needs some polishing. There are some minor grammatical errors that can easily be fixed

New historical romance yess! I don’t Read these often and it took me a while to get into it but I ended up reading up to date in only a few days! Not my usual cup of tea but I think I’ll keep reading more. Totally recommend! ♥️

I’m really interested in reading this but it does need some attention from an editor. I know the author’s first language isn’t English but When I have to mentally proofread or rewrite as I read takes me out of the story.

after 13 chapters. so far quite a different story. what is difficult is the writing. I am not bothered about grammar. but writing is the problem. there first person, second, and third in the same paragraph. sometimes it feels like Google translator! author: you need an editor.
