Blaze was worked up mood the next day when he arrived home. He was hot , tired and so pissed off , he wanted to tear something apart with his bare hands.
He phoned Ash and Ben to inform them that he wouldn't be coming to pratice. He wasn't feeling up to it. He went down to his mini bar and mixed himself a Scotch and felt the burn when it went down his throat.
How could she?!
More appropriately, how dare she?!
Cassie had run from him. He had expected her to be nervous , this morning maybe a little shy and embarrassed. There wasn't an inch of her body he hadn't touched or caressed. He had gone out to clear his head , thinking she was asleep.
But Cassie wasn't asleep after all; Instead , when he came back to the hotel room , She was gone. Blaze didn't know what to make of that girl. Usually , women didn't run from him , it was mostly the other way around.
Blaze picked up his cell phone and punched in Cassie's number. He listened as the line trilled and caught himself running a nervous hand through his hair. Women never made him nervous.
"Sorry but I can't reach you right now. Leave a message after the beep." He heard Cassie's lovely voice say and there was a long beep.
" Damn it Cass..." Blaze said with clenched teeth as he roared into the phone. "What the fuck did you mean by running away like that. Call me the fucking minute you get home..." He sighed as he knew he wasn't making the things between them any better. He said a little more softly now. "Just call me so I know you're alright Cass."
He ended the voicemail and on second thought he grabbed his cell and called her again.
——————————
Cassie listened to the message that Blaze had made. Her knees went weak and she grabbed the edge of her bed for support. What she did was right...No it wasn't....She didn't know anymore.
She didn't know how to face Blaze after that night of intimacy. He was supposed to be done with her , wasn't he? That was his every one night stand was supposed to end.
So what more did he want?
Cassie picked up the phone and dialed his number.
"This is Blaze. Leave a message and I'll call you right back."
Cassie clenched her fist. He deserved an apology , deserved the chance to swear at her some more. She wanted to open her mouth to speak but the words refused to come. There didn't seem to be anything to say. Cassie bit her lip and hung .
She closed her eyes , breathing deeply as the memory curled around her .It was always going to be a night to remember. Although Cassie had regretted a lot of things, but for the few hours , she had been lost in a meer physical ecstasy. She didn't have much clue to him except what he had told her and he had screwed her brains out.
It was right there and there that Cassie decided. She was not going to call him neither was she going to pick up his calls. There was nothing connecting them anymore. They had had a wild night and nothing more than that.
He was a star and she was...She.
Two things that would never mix.
Cassie threw her phone down to the floor and stiffled her screaming cries in her pillow.
She would never see Blaze again.

Fay yawned as she shut the door leading to the apartment and clicked the latch.
She had went out for her morning jog as usual by 6:30. Then she would have a quick shower , brush her teeth , then make some cereal and head on to work. But today was different, her boss had given her a break from her part time job at due to all the extra hours she put in. Today she was just going to chill out , watch Tv , maybe get a manicure and read some magazines.
Nothing could spoil her day now.
Fay Dodgers sank down on the couch and switched on the television. She decided to watch a romance comedy but unfortunately she couldn't concentrate due to the continuous sniffling coming from one of the rooms.
Cassie was home alright.
She sighed and walked towards where the sniffling noises where coming from and shook her head in disapprobation when she saw Cassie sunk down in the floor, her head buried on her kneens. When she looked up , their were dark circles around her eyes as mascara washed down her eyes from all the tears giving her a sombre expression.
"What's happened?" Fay asked sitting down beside her friend , placing her hand protectively around her shoulders. "How did the date go?"
"It went great..." Cassie sobbed.
"So if 'It went great' why are you crying?"
"It was great until we went back to his hotel and..." She couldn't complete the sentence and Fay got her meaning.
"So you lost it." Fay used her hand to support her chin. "How was the sex?"
"Mind blowing!" Cassie exclaimed. "He was amazing and his th... That isn't the point!"
"But it made you stop crying didn't you?"
She smiled weakly and Fay handed her a tissue which she used to wipe her eyes.
"Thanks."
"You're welcome." She grinned. "Now lay it on me."
"I don't know Fay. All I know that after , I felt so embarrassed that I ran away like a chicken." Cassie groaned and picked up the phone she had earlier thrown to the floor. "He's already phoned me five times and I can't stop thinking about him. I feel like I owe him some sort of apology but I don't know what to say?! What am I gonna do Fay?!!!"
Her friend took a deep breath....
