Village emergency

The next day, Ren is looking forward for the bread that she asked from Mar.

She really is craving for it. And since Mar has made some flour, they can make some bread for sure this time.

"Can we bake some bread now? And I would love to have some bacon and egg with it."

Mar already know what bacon is, as she has been requested it from him before. He has made some and keep it in their food storages.

"Alright love, I will make you some bread."

"It's a good thing we have a brick oven. I am really delighted how resourceful you are."

Being praised by Ren is what he likes more.

He then started making the bread as per Ren's instruction. He put some flour, water and egg in a bowl and mixed it until he made some dough from it.

Ren is watching him this whole time, to make sure that everything would be perfect.

After kneading the dough, they let it rest for at least half an hour.

He cut it into little pieces and put it in the brick oven.

The bread smells so good that the whole village can smell it.

The people in the village have never smelled this kind of food before.

Ren is salivating just thinking about how she would have a bread for breakfast.

They have checked the bread and it's cooked.

Mar are also done from cooking the bacon and egg.

He then prepares it on the table.

Ren is so happy and can't contain her emotions.

She started eating happily.

Mar tasted the bread with the bacon and egg, and he can't believe how tasty it is.

"I have never tasted a bread before and it is delicious."

"I've been craving for bread for a long time. Thank you dear for making some for me."

"No need to thank me. It is my duty to give you anything you want."

"I love you Mar." Kissing him on the lips and smile.

"I love you too."

She now satisfied her cravings after eating breakfast.

Now she is bored again and thinking of what to do.

She then remembers that the baby doesn't have a baby clothes yet and decided to make some.

She was about to get up and get some animal hide, but somebody knocks on the door.

"Chief, are you at home? It is me, Bon."

Mar open the door and see Bon panting.

"What happen?"

"It's been so cold this last few days and most of the female in our village is getting sick."

Bon notice the fireplace inside the Chiefs hut.

"What is that chief?"

"It is a fireplace to keep our hut warm."

Seeing that Ren is in front of the fireplace, Bon can't help but be more curious

"Is it safe?"

"It is. I have actually made it for a long time now since the start of the cold season. And it is very helpful to keep the hut warm."

Bon is quite amazed with how good the chief is.

"That is a great idea chief. We can use this to help keep the other female from being sick because of the cold season."

"It is actually Ren's idea."

Bon is so surprised to hear this.

"Wow chief, your mate is very smart"

Mar is very proud to hear such a compliment for his mate.

"Let's go to the elders. I want you to gather the men in our villages there."

"Okay chief, I will."

Mar went to Ren. "I need to help the other villager. It is very crucial for the females to survive this season. Will you be okay here?"

"Go, I will be fine. You don't have to worry about me."

Mar kiss her on the forehead and hug her.

"Thank you for being so understanding. "

"This is your duty as the chief. Of course I would understand. "

"We will leave now. I love you. I will be back as soon as I am done talking with the men of the village."

"Alright dear. I love you too. Come back soon."

Mar and Bon leave as soon as Mar closes the door.
