“If you believe it will help, I will name a temporary successor to my title and go with you.” She would link her power with another one of the Flight for them to draw on for the time she must be away. She would be serving in two places at the same time. “When do we depart? I must advise the Body of my decision as well as name my successor.”

“Do what you need to and then we’ll go.” He stepped back to the wall and gave her a searching look. “Are you alright?”

“I will be healing for a time yet.” Carina dried herself the remainder of the way and shed her towel, accepting the gown held out for her by a priestess. She observed Ishaan turning away and wondered if his people were discomfited by nakedness. “But I am as well as can be expected. Come, we must speak with the Body.”
