Hillaris

"Hi again, it's me, Noy, don't you remember, the mysterious voice, I will be your guide for the next part of your lives. Every single one of you has been chosen to enter portal 1. Are you ready to start your new adventure in Hillaris.

First, you need to align up in a row in front of the portal. But you really need to make up your mind now, Hillaris isn't a joke so if you rather die now with no pain and no regret please be my guest, but if you rather suffer and take risks for a low chance to live like a king after Hillaris, let be it. I'm not forcing anyone of you to choose, I'm just giving some advice, a simple death is much better than a life of risks.

And before I forget...what I was going to say... aahhh...either way you still going to die if you don't choose in an hour. Tick-tock, time is running down."

It was a hard choice for a lot of people, specifically for the old and babies (age doesn't matter) and some women too, they preferred to have a simple death, also people who weren't conscious enough to speak for themselves died as well.

I'm not telling you this to fear what's coming next because Hillaris wasn't that bad, actually it was quite the opposite, that place was so amazing.

I'm not saying that suffering and death don't matter but I think it's a fair price for what you can get here.

Hillaris was like a game world, a gambling city, everyone is just betting his life for something more, the 21 cards are what you start with and when you lose them all, you die.

Rules are simple, you can't cheat or steal, you can't give up and you can't suicide, but if you do you're not going to die, you will just be teleported to wherever place behind portal 2. And if someone challenges you, you can't say no, but you get to choose how much both of you are gambling on and if he can't afford that he loses all his cards and dies.

If you want to win, just collect 500 cards and you get your price. Of course, there's more than one winner.

One more thing, Hillaris is not a normal place, if you sacrifice some cards there you get something back, you get a superpower depending on how much you gave up on... a little boost to help you win the game.

That's a way to live your life, but didn't you wonder how to continue living there, I mean they are still humans, after all, they are vulnerable to starvation, some disease, getting tired, and a lot of other things. Here comes the role of people who want to spend their days cooking, building, customizing, and other stuff for the others.

But, no way these efforts are for free, because if you think about it, if cards can be gambled on, so they're basically what represent money.

Still, everyone has to play to survive, after all how you're going to buy something if you don't have enough cards, options are limitless, maybe your business will be enough, maybe not but you can think about all possibilities, just stick with the rules.

By the way, Hillaris is not going to be open forever, it will come the time, maybe after five years, after ten, the only thing is sure that if one year gets passed without a winner everyone dies.
