Chapter 46: The Council, Part 3

Blaze realized that he was significantly closer, but this was unintentional. He wanted them to be more relaxed, but instead he had made them even more vigilant.

"Daaaaamn. I made things worse-c'mon guys-vouch for me-" Blaze thought to himself, hoping that his friends would come to his aid.

"He's not trouble, I assure you," Scion spoke, the council members looking to him. He felt pressured, all that attention shoved onto him, but he remained calm regardless. "Let me get straight to the point. Asura is returning, and we--"

Instantly, a knife had passed right by Scion's cheek, grazing his skin. He winced in pain, blood dripping from his cheek.

"Do not speak unless I tell you otherwise. Do that again and I won't miss next time," The woman said, holding three other knives in between her fingers.

She looked at Storm and Angel, then back at Blaze.

"What's this about Asura?" she spoke him directly, Blaze gritting his teeth.
