Life of a Novice Writer

For 365 days I will talk about random things I may or may not be able to tell people in real life. As a beginner in writing, I will tell stories about my life, while hoping to improve my writing skills. Can't guarantee it will be everyday due to the author's mentality.

Day 31 "Talked about Food and got Hungry"

The q&a was alright.

So now what topic do we choose for this chapter?

Traveling? Food? Some q&a about food? Or just talk about food?

You know when they say they will make this for dinner and they don't is just upsetting. Have we tried being on both ends? Not that we recall changing our minds about what to make after telling others.

But we must understand both sides. Maybe they forgot. Or they couldn't make it in time or something. And in the previous case, they forgot. Maybe.

Anyway, we are no master chef.

We can cook edible meals.

Have we fucked up before?

Yup. We accidentally added tons of salt to some eggs and it tasted like the ocean. We were only gonna add a little then the salt container....don't quite remember what we used to put it in, something like a salt shaker? And so the salt container thingy that could have been a salt shaker, well the lid came off and all the salt fell into the bowl.

Yup.

Tasted like the sea. But much worse.

Did we managed to save it? No.

And we've made some mistakes with adding too much salt every now and then.

We do shit. We fuck up. We learn.

Not necessarily in that order.

So what's your specialty?

Desserts. It's hard to fuck up Desserts. The simpler ones.

We may not know how exactly, but we will learn by watching some videos or reading from a cookbook. Or someone will tell us and we do it.

We also grew up mostly making sweets so maybe that had something to do with it.

Is sweet your favorite?

Not exactly. We prefer sour. We love sweets. We just like sour more.

Sour and sweet? Sour and salty? Yum.

Sour, salty, and spicy? It's good.

We don't have a high spice tolerance. Still love spicy though. It goes well with sour and salty.

And bitter. Bitter, sour, and salty is also good.

Guess it would depend on the food. But sour is a favorite.

Some of our family can't handle spicy food and thus won't eat any spicy food at all and it's a bit sad.

They're missing out on some good spicy food.

One other thing some family don't like, is eating bitter gourd uncooked.

We mix it with some lemon and a bit of salt. Like some salad. And it's good. You just gotta make it how you want it. 'Cause you might want more salt, then add salt.

So the ratios could change.

It's really good though. So far, only my father also likes it.

Some do ask questions like, "Do you really like eating it raw? Uncooked?"

Yes lol.

Sometimes we add onions. Maybe some tomatoes. If we want to.

It's good.

Speaking of tomatoes we like eating it with some soy sauce and some vinegar or lemon. Add some onions if you want.

It really depends on your preferences. You could try vinegar and salt too. It's good.

Are we hungry? Guess.

Hahahaha!

Until next chapter!

Bye~
