Chapter 27 The Balls

Jacko walked up to the red beacon of runes. Its bright glow coated his body.

He didn't know how long he sulked within the icy realm. Calming himself down. His face expressed numbness; he kept thinking of trying to make things right when everything was already going wrong.

He shook his head, walking through the red light.

His body gets transformed into red light, then reappears within a room with dark red murals made out of glass. The walls were shady and old. He looked in front of himself and saw a red carpet leading to a throne. "Finn." The fire fairy slime appeared, he no longer greeted his master, affected by his grief.

"Slime One."

A deep gruff voice echoed throughout the room. Finn pointed his hands to the throne, and Jacko hardened his Slime Arm with a grunt.

"Willing to tussle, how interesting."

Jacko then suddenly felt his shoulders being held by tough hands. Finn immediately started shooting at the figure behind Jacko with fire beams at the walls behind him. "What the!?" Jacko then looked around, who just touched him!?

"My, that's a very strong ally you have here."

Jacko then turned to Finn, who was being held by a man with dark pink hair and only wearing dark pink pants; his chest looked scarred, and his eyes glowed dark red.

Jacko immediately tried unsummoning Finn, absorbing him back into his hand successfully. "Who are you!?" Jacko asked.

The strange man only laughed. "I'm Ligma." He said with a smug smile baring his fangs.

"What are you doing here then..." Jacko still readied his arm, forming spikes around the knuckles.

"I'm here to help you, O Slime One! You seek to become stronger, yes?" The man asked, smiling to himself.

Jacko squinted his eyes in anger. "I just want to get out of here," Jacko said.

The man raised his eyebrows. "Really? Are you not aware of what else you will be facing beyond here? Do you have a death wish?" The man now shared a frown.

"Just get out of my way." He then launches the ground fist, extending his arm to deliver a destructive punch. It then crushes the throne into wooden bits.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. I didn't expect you'd be like this, O Slime One." The man then appeared to his left, watching the throne burst.

"Damn it, what a waste of a perfectly good chair! It's my bad for not expecting such a devastating attack." He shook his head, chuckling.

Jacko then casually ignored him, walking to where the throne was broken. He then turned to the Ligma.

"Don't you get it? Only I can allow you to the next floor!" The man then told, standing behind him directly. "I just want you to do one simple thing!" He then pulls out a throbbing piece of slime from his pocket.

Jacko heard the familiar throbbing, seeing a Slime Heart in his hand. His own heart began beating immediately as if it was telling him to consume it. He opened his mouth, gasping for air trying to resist the feeling.

"Ah! So you do want to get stronger! What's stopping you? Why refuse to become a God!? A Slime God is what you will be you know!?" The man announced with an exciting display. Spreading his arms in victory, he saw Jacko walk towards him.

"Atlantis!" The water dragon emerged from his chest, opening its mouth and blasting a powerful Tsunami Breath at the man.

The man then suddenly appears at Jacko's back, then he gasps as he is suddenly tightly grabbed by his ground slime arm.

"Whoa-!" Ligma gasped, did he just guess!?

Atlantis then turned its head to the man. "I don't want to be a fucking god," Jacko said, then Atlantis blasted a beam into his head.

He watched the body fall to the ground without its head; then he looked at the place where the throne was.

"That was pretty badass."

Jacko shivered, seeing the corpse stand up, a head reappearing with the same smile. "Don't you know what your purpose is? O Slime One?" He asked.

Jacko returned Atlantis to his chest. His best bet was to analyze this man first instead of brute forcing it. He had to calm down.

"How do you even know!?" He yelled out.

"I serve the one who had truly summoned you..." He smiled as he pulled out a grey orb. "You are to become a god! And rule the land of the next Continents! Don't you want that?" The man asked.

"So that's why... you're called assholes!" Jacko then pulled out his wand, shooting Blizz from it towards his head.

"You're starting to get annoying!" He flicked away the lightning slime, and then finally, he revealed himself, turning into a pink blur for a split second, and appeared before him with a punch to his face.

Jacko then gets launched back and stands back up. Then Ligma swept his legs off and then pulled his hair up. He then suddenly pushes his head with the Slime Heart he held before. "Accept this gift! Slime One! You're one step closer! HAHAHAHAHA!" Ligma laughed, followed by Jacko's screams.

Jacko opened his eyes, feeling the rough ground and the sand wiping out of his hand as he wiped it off. He felt his head, it felt so hot and immediately let go it. His chest throbbed painfully, letting out a grunt.

He stood up. Then looked around the place that roughly looked like a cave. He started walking through the paths, only to discover that they lead him back to the first room.

This didn't stop him tho.

"Aren't you going to ask me anything?"

Jacko gasped, looking behind him and seeing the same pink-haired man. "What did you do to me!?" Jacko yelled.

The man laughed. "I'm getting you ready! For your ascension of course." The man told.

Jacko held his head, then a slime emerged out of his head. He looked at the red slime he summoned, then at the man. "What floor am I in?" Jacko asked.

"You're in the 16th floor. Anyway. Why don't you want power?" He asked.

Jacko kept walking away from him. He didn't know what to think of anything. He even tried to forget the allies he used to have, he wanted his mind to become clearer. His head was burning up, causing him to collapse immediately.
