Yin and Grandpa

"Whatever… I'll know your rank after naming you…So, what should it be? You're a girl so it limits my range. Let's see…hmm…umm"

"You're really bad at this, don't you think?"

"Just wait will you! I'm trying to think of something that's easy to remember but still refined…."

Looking at the wolf pup, Adam thought 'She has white fur…but it would be too irresponsible to call her 'Little White' … hmm… I need synonyms….'

Looking at the boy who carried her, the wolf grew irritable, "Just pick something!"

"Oi! Don't you care? It's your name I'm picking."

"No, I don't care!"

"Then, I'll just call you 'Little White'"

Hearing the name, the wolf promptly bit Adam.

"OW! How can your skin be so hard!? I almost broke my tooth!"

"What, I thought your name didn't matter to you?"

"I don't know what came over me, I just had an irresistible urge to bite you when I heard you call me little white."

"….That's why it's taking so long…"the boy pouted in irritation but was suddenly enlightened "I know! I'll call you blizzard!"

"That doesn't sound feminine at all!"

"Then how about yin?"

"What does that mean?"

"Yin, as far as I know, is the black colored fish like thingy on this", said Adam bringing out a necklace from within the folds of his clothes.

It was a small thin disk about the size of a bottle-cap. It looked to be made of stainless steel. On it was painted a picture of two carps, one black with a white eye and one white with a black eye, chasing each other. The disk had a hole in the middle where a simple string passed through to make the necklace. The hole in the middle was tinted a bright red.

Adam flipped the necklace and on it was written "Yin and Yang suppressing rend" it was written in such a way that the black fish and white fish coincide with the word yin and yang.

"What is this?"

"I don't know. It's been with me forever and mom and dad avoid the topic."

"OK, I guess I can accept that name."

Stopping in the middle of a field they were passing through, Adam put down the wolf and once again bit his finger only to fail to draw blood.

"Why do you keep biting your finger? It doesn't work! Just use your nails, like the last time."

"But, that's how mom and dad did the blood rituals. Oh, and uncle too!"

"…you have dull teeth and a thick skin. You'll never be able to pierce your skin like that."

"Fine…" Adam proceeded to cut himself with his nails…which also failed.

"GRRR, Damn you!" he growled as his failure while the pup snickered.

Taking a deep breath, Adam calmed down and brought his nail up to his face and charged it with his energy before the nail grew longer by a centimeter and started glowing. Then, with one swift movement Adam sliced open his palm and blood started to gush out until it was filled with blood.

The wound swiftly healed before the naked eye and the wolf couldn't help but exclaim, " Where did the cut go!?"

Ignoring the wolf's query, Adam put both his hands together and rubbed so that they could both be covered by his blood and then while saying, "As your master I name you 'Yin of the full moon'.", wrote the word 'Yin' with his left hand and drew a circle with his left. He then threw the circle before the 'Yin' word to the wolf who sat still looking on. The two symbols drawn with blood went into the wolf's glabella where the circle turned into a silver moon and the yin word became a black ray and entered the moon.

Adam and the newly named Yin, looked at each other and said simultaneously, "Shouldn't something….."

Then, a dark light exploded out of Yin while simultaneously, Adam started to discharge electric current and arcs of lightning.

The screams of both echoed throughout and alerted the nearby farmers to the situation.

Hurrying over, the newcomers could only see a dome of black light which seemed to drown out all the light. The black light seemed to be filled with lightning sparks.

They could barely see a toddler and a wolf pup levitating inside the dome before it expanded from its initial 1 meter radius to an 18 meter radius which sent them flying. This situation caused the others further away to drag their falling comrades away and send someone to get the authorities.

"YOU SAW WHAT!?"

"Your Highness, The Prince is trapped inside some kind of energy field. The size of which seems to be expanding without limits. Anyone close by gets repelled by the dome and we fear that the prince may be injured as well. His Majesty Archus has already heard about this and headed over himself with the army."

"No no no no no! Father can't know about Adam, he'll kill him. I have to go stop him!", saying so, Gron left the cottage and charged to the field where Adam was on a yellow horse. As he left, he yelled back towards the cottage, "Don't wait up, Aeli. I don't think I'll be back by dinner!"

As it galloped forth, the horse started to glow dimly. The yellow light increased in intensity until the horse burst into flames and took to the skies. "I must make it!"

At the site, one would be able to see a black dome coursing with electricity with a radius of 81 meters surrounded by hundreds of armored infantry. Behind them on a black horse, sat a man who looked about 40 years. He muttered," See you soon vile-spawn."
