As I waited, my palms were getting sweaty. I swallowed as my mouth was getting dry. Larry walks up. "Miss Maddox, please," he said, offering me to follow him. I slowly stood and went with the officer. "Please have a seat," Larry said. I nod and sit down. "What is this about?" I ask. Larry swallows and rubs the back of his neck.
"We found Kyle dead in his bedroom, and a message was written," he said. I cover my mouth, eyes water. "What," I whisper. Larry hands me some tissues and some water. I wipe my face. "That isn't all," Larry said. I look up "What do you mean?" I say through my crying. "The killer left a message for you," he said, showing me the message. I cover my mouth, reading, "I love you, Zae." I was shaking. "I don't know who did this," I say in a shaky breath. Larry nods. "We know, just wanted to tell you, is all," he said. I nod, get up slowly, and walk out. I look around the darkened parking lot and shiver, get into my car, and jump. Seeing red roses in my car, I pick up the note. "I hope you liked my note, Zae. I killed him for hurting you." I swallowed hard and slowly drove home.
Once I got home, I looked at the flowers, picked them up and trimmed them, put them in a vase, and smiled. I sigh and undress, walk to my bathroom, and fill the tub. I couldn't shake the feeling of someone watching me. I shut all my blinds, not knowing Ghostface was watching me at home. I lay down with a book titled Losers, and I was reading happily. I swallow as my hand runs down my body; I shut my book and groan, cover up, and turn on my TV.
