The Leader Of Legendclad (III)

Seunghyuk concentrated as he locked in onto Ku Sangwoong's body actions, but when he was about to rush in without thinking much into battle, he was stopped by a dumbfounded Ku Sangwoong.

"Wait...? Are you not the Hyung-nim that fought the Head of Gold-ranked Members, Jeon Jisung, and won? Even against a full set of armour and many rare treasures, you're the one who had won?" Ku Sangwoong questioned a little too excitedly, losing his calm composure he always had on, but Seunghyuk on the other hand, kept his cool well as he replied, "Yes that's me. Are you telling me all this so you can back out now? You're going to back out when you realise I've beaten the best in the company?"

Ku Sangwoong shook his head with resolution filling the Battle space and Seunghyuk broke into a smile uncontrollably, eyeing every single movement in the space before he replied, "Glad to see that you still haven't lost your will to fight!"

Seunghyuk took that time he bought from the conversation to use his Eye of Detection on Sangwoong.

"Okay, time for me to prove myself..." Seunghyuk said to himself before rushing in, eyes focussed on Sangwoong as his target then he conjured fire in his arm, flinging it out across to the opposite direction, "Hhargh!"

Sangwoong seemed to expect the attack as he had watched the fight between Seunghyuk and Jisung, so he immediately jumped swiftly to his right, avoiding the fire cleanly without even a scratch on his face. Seunghyuk smiled at the thrill he was feeling and immediately used another 2 MP to summon fire in the form of a bolt, zapping down at Sangwoong.

"It's not going to work!" Sangwoong shouted back at Seunghyuk, hopping to the back, however Seunghyuk's fire bolt striked Sangwoong completely and Sangwoong screamed in pain and perplexity, "Ahh! How...?"

Due to Seunghyuk's relatively high mastery of the skill Dancing With Fire, he was able to direct and manoeuvre the fire bolt midair, which is useful especially in cases like this. When met with Sangwoong's questioning, he remained silent and dashed forward, with 4 MP, Seunghyuk conjured a fireball on each of his palms and smacked his palms together forcefully, creating a high pressure area between his palms. Sangwoong sensed the huge threat and immediately set up his defense by using his skill Champion Of Dodging. Sangwoong's figure suddenly became blurry like he was shifting at inhumane speed at one spot back and forth, but Seunghyuk did not think too much and merely pulsed his high-pressure flame in the form of an ever-rotating sphere growing in size every step in tool towards Sangwoong.

"This time, I'm sure it wouldn't touch me..." Sangwoong was wrong again, but not completely far off this time, as he was able to avoid most of the flame but the ever-turning characteristic of the flame accompanied with the high pressure compressed in still inflicted some damage on Sangwoong, making him grunt in pain as his Champion Of Dodging skill slowly ran out, "Why...You're really powerful, Choi Seunghyuk..."

"So you do know who I am..." Seunghyuk said and he stopped his attack, waiting for Sangwoong's reply, Sangwoong not only replied, dashed forward using his skill Light Spread as he shouted, "Of course I knew! I asked Jeon Jisung!"

The light surged forward towards Seunghyuk at a point, then dispersed to all five directions, but Seunghyuk was unfazed as he confronted the light face-to-face, sending a fire spiral to counter Sangwoong's Light Spread.

"You can try me," Seunghyuk said and ducked under the fire and light struggle, pressing forward as he raised his right fist up, sending a quick hook to Sangwoong's head, knocking him to the left painfully, "I'm not done. Have you tasted the pain of your own skill?"

Seunghyuk asked smilingly as he ran in the opposite direction, ducking his head down to avoid the fire and light the second time, watching the bundle of energy rush towards Sangwoong and landed on him with a ear-breaking "boom". Seunghyuk watched as the smoke dispersed, leaving an injured Sangwoong spread eagle on the ground as he panted intensely. Seunghyuk was about to walk up and tell Sangwoong that he had done enough, then end the match by dealing one last punch, but Seunghyuk watched as Sangwoong's hand flew up, dropping a pill into his mouth. Seunghyuk thought it was weird as that was not any skill of Sangwoong's, so he immediately step back, knowing that Sangwoong somehow sneaked in a pill.

Seunghyuk looked to his right at the big screen showing the live footage of the other members in Floor 1. Everyone's faces showed a face of disgust and pity, knowing that someone like Sangwoong would go to such extremes in order to just win. Seunghyuk thought the same but he does not question his methods, after all, he was once in his position, and without his mysterious family ring, he would not have come so far in just one to two days.

Seunghyuk knew from his own experiences that when someone does something out of hand, they must have had their own reasons, especially for a Gold-ranked member like Sangwoong, and if Seunghyuk guessed correctly, Sangwoong wanted to prove himself to Jisung that he could take his place as the Leader of the Gold-ranked Members. Seunghyuk's eyebrows furrowed intensely on that thought intruding his brain, then stared at the slowly rising figure of Sangwoong with a terrifying glare.

"System: Use Eye of Detection," Seunghyuk's voice was filled with seriousness as he looked at Sangwoong's new stats after swallowing the pill, and he glowered, "This bastard..."

NOTE: Taken the Berserk Pill of Strengthening, which increases his stats by 5, but it has heavy side effects.

"Ku Sangwoong, are you crazy?" Seunghyuk dashed forward, throwing balls and balls of fire at Sangwoong but this time Sangwoong dodged every single one of them, and even directed a single flame back at Seunghyuk which knocked him back, "Damn...You really want to prove yourself, don't you? You really think that you could get what you want by just winning me? If only everything is this world was so easy, then I wouldn't be tortured by people around me since young!"

Seunghyuk hollered at Sangwoong his eyes wide with fury and his fists gripped until it turned white, Seunghyuk's eyes had never been so threateningly red with anger and that animosity exuded from both his eyes mentally pushed Sangwoong backwards with fear.

"Why do you have to do this," Seunghyuk shut both his eyes and looked down at his feet, trying everything to calm his agitated self down, and Sangwoong replied, "I...I was told by everyone that I could never surpass our leader, Jeon Jisung, and because I'm the only Gold-ranked member who had this goal, I was the only laughing box. Why must the world be so cruel? I just don't get it..."

"Neither do I," Seunghyuk voiced out loudly, hoping that not only Sangwoong could hear him, but also the people in Level 1 watching the whole fight, "I don't get it either but it's either we coexist with it, or we succumb to it. Right now you're nearing succumbence, and I don't like seeing someone like you fall just like that."

Seunghyuk had almost calmed down as he breathed in and out, looking back up at Sangwoong, "So...I have one question now. Do you still want this fight?"

Sangwoong stood there silently, like he was processing and analysing both outcomes but in actual fact, he was lost in his own thoughts and recklessness that he became a lost deer when he had his motivation and goal taken away.

"This is exactly the feeling I don't want anybody feeling, not when I'm leading the company as well," Seunghyuk asked and walked forward, putting a hand on Sangwoong's shoulder and asked again, "Do you want this fight?"

The atmosphere seemed to freeze but Sangwoong looked into Seunghyuk's eyes, the resolution of fire rekindled in his eyes as he replied, "Yes, I want this fight."
