'Phew!' I feel sooo much better now! No wonder why the monster has such high Hp and regeneration. This helps a lot!' Adrian brightened, even though he knew he felt like losing another part of what he would call normal, but in here, normal was in a totally different realm now.

'Oh shoot! I forgot to buy a mask! I'll buy 2 right now before I forget again.' Adrian said as he opened up the shop.

'Ughhhh...10,000 whole SP?! God this is expensive...whatever, I'll get more on the way I hope.' Adrian felt like coughing and his heartache at the cost of a mask.

'Oooop! Looks like Alice woke up' Adrian thought.

"Hey Adrian, we'll need to prepare our supplies for our soon starting adventure!" Alice said, all cheery, and went to clean and dress up.

"Ok! By the way, we may need to hide our identities whenever we're in trouble so I bought these masks for us," Adrian said as he transferred one of his [System Masks].

"Thanks, Adrian." Alice replied.

After Alice finished dressing up, she went around the mini-town, buying some food, tents, clothes, and some extra weapons and armor in case something happened to her gear. Alice then went to the orphanage to go and say goodbye to the children, Mr. Jonnes, and some of the other teachers and nuns in the orphanage. She then went across the village saying goodbye to everyone before setting off.

"Alright, my mini-map says to go over there." Adrian said, pointing Alice to the way where a decent population of monsters lived.

"Ok. Time to get to hunting!" Alice said, excited as if she didn't just have a sad goodbye a couple of hours ago.

Crossing over a small stream of water, Alice filled her water satchel full of water, then put it back in her inventory. Then they came across an area where a pack of boars lived. Alice drew Adrian out and did a quick swipe before the boars were all beheaded and put into Alice's inventory for rations later on. Though because they were normal boars and were too weak, they didn't yield any experience, so they had to find stronger monsters to hunt.

��Wait!' Adrian shouted in Alice's mind.

'Mn? What happened Adrian?' Alice asked.

'I sense a dungeon nearby, I don't see any marks of anybody nearby. Wanna try it? It's within our level range.' Adrian asked Alice for permission.

'Hmmmm...I guess it would also be a way for me to get stronger more quickly.' Alice said to herself.

They both agreed to go into the dungeon, then they began to walk towards the small building.

'W-we'll be fine r-right Adrian?' Alice asked.

'Of course Alice! Plus you also have the spell, purify and me and help you, I'm sure you'll be...mostly fine after all of this.' Adrian replied.

'Ok, that reply scares me...alright I trust you Adrian.' Alice said

They noticed that it was mostly tunnels and mazes where only about 10% of the space were tombs as they explored. Adrian and Alice found a bunch of skeletons on the hallways towards the mazes, trying to stop them from going any further, though they were easily cut into halves.

From the first floor, they discovered zombies on the tunnels, just to totally swarm them, though a couple [Purify]s usually do the trick. Then going down and further down the tunnel, did the mutated zombies appear, some were jumpers, tanks, speedsters, and many other kinds of zombies that tried to overwhelm them. Because purify was less effective on them, Adrian just used a light barrier to weaken them before decapitating the zombies and stabbing their chest to make sure they won't back alive.

After getting past all of those obstacles, they arrived in a small room, too big for a regular mob, yet too small for a boss room as well. Adrian and Alice then realized that this dungeon was much more complicated and difficult than they thought, with the addition of mini bosses.

'Looks like we'll be here for a long time! At least it's good training…' Adrian said.

'Yeah...this will help a lot for my growth.' Alice said, reading her stance for any potential attacks.

"Alice, this mini boss is too strong for you, let me handle it. Also, if you can, buff me…" Adrian said as he turned into his demihuman form before using his sword clone as a weapon.

"Alright, [Boost]!" Alice buffed Adrian, knowing that her stats won't be able to compare to the mini boss at all. She then tried to jump to the corner of the room to avoid the aggro range so Adrian could fight it easier.

Adrian notices that the mini boss didn't realize they were in its room yet, so Adrian poured a bit of Mp into his clone with [Light Barrier], he changed his stance and dashed towards the open part of the necromancer, where the core was.

The ghosts around the necromancer warned him beforehand and blocked the attack for him, making Adrian miss, though he did kill a lot of its minions in one go. The necromancer then uses its staff to cast a spell but was forced to use another ghost wall to block and dodge Adrian's second charge. Adrian cut apart the rest of the ghosts around him, before jumping back and recharging his clone with another [Light Barrier].

As soon as Adrian was done charging, he saw the necromancer and his staff glowing a bit. "Fuck! I'm too late…" Adrian said as he began to brace himself for whatever spell the necromancer would cast on him.

The necromancer certainly did not disappoint. He summoned a large ghost that flew towards Adrian to attack, but Adrian dodged in time before dashing forward and slashing downward with both his Light and Wind affinities combined with his sword, which immediately cut the large ghost in half and the area behind him.

Adrian, noticing that his buff was going to disappear, rushed towards the necromancer with a few footwork tricks to confuse where he's going, appeared right in front of him, and slashed his head off. Noticing that it was still moving, on the ground, Adrian stabbed the head again, pulled his clone out, and slashed downward on the rest of its body, destroying the core and using devour on it.
