To Help or To Flee

As Li JinHai spawned a blue screen popped out before him.

"How can it be so hot here!" Exclaimed Li JinHai. On Earth, it was winter already and a particularly cold one at that. On the other hand, here in the new world it looked like summer already came and the climate was hot and humid. JinHai had been teleported in the middle of a mountain range. Everything was immersed in vegetation. Palms with blue leaves could be seen everywhere as sounds of birds and other animals could be occasionally heard.

"During the teleportation, I thought of my mother so there should be a chance for us to be in the same area. With the Recruit Katana in his right hand he started to look around. He had spawned inside a forest and dangers could hide anywhere. You can say that he spawned in one of the most dangerous locations possible.

Suddenly Li JinHai heard a faint roar. He turned and as he expected there was a zombie behind him. Only 20 meters or so were between him and the monster. He used 'Observation'.

There was only one zombie, so he was not afraid in the slightest. The Recruit Katana appeared in his hands and he slowly neared the zombie. He carefully got behind the zombie and easily beheaded it. As the zombie died a strange globe of golden energy entered Li JinHai's body.

"So, this is the experience that I gain by killing monsters..." Exclaimed Li JinHai.

After he killed the zombie, he started to move, he wanted to get out of the forest as soon as possible.

Suddenly he heard other roars. Behind him, there were two zombies. He used 'Observation' and discovered that one was a LV1 zombie while the other was a LV2.

Li JinHai walked towards the two zombies and as he learned in the Tutorial he attacked the LV1 Zombie from the side. With a slash of the katana the LV1 zombie's head fell on the ground. Another globe of golden light entered Kang's body.

Before attacking again, he stepped back to get away from the LV2 zombie attack range to dodge. As he expected the zombie's hands hit the air and before it could react, he was already behind it. The katana slashed again and another zombie's head fell on the ground. The golden globe of experience entered Li JinHai's body.

"Congratulations! You are now level 2, please allocate Evolve Points."

As he heard the notification, he felt a strange burning sensation in his right eye. He couldn't see it, but his right eye started shining like the sun and seemed like something was revolting inside the eyeball. After a few instants, the sensation faded away as another blue screen popped out.

"Attention! Ancient Bloodline detected. Some Evolve points will be automatically given based on the bloodline characteristic. +1 Willpower. +1 to all Primary Attributes."

"Attention! The system detected a bloodline within the player's body. The system is analyzing the bloodline. Time until analysis completion: 2 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds." After the message was displayed the window closed on its own.

An instant after another new blue screen appeared right before Li JinHai.

"So, these are my current stats? They look quite high for a newbie, maybe it is because I trained in martial arts since I was just a child. I don't know what they do though." Said JinHai. Then he touched 'Information about attributes' to see what each stat could do.

Agility: affects movements speed and reaction speed

Intelligence: affects the amount of Mana or other types of energy and Mana or other types of energy regeneration speed

Secondary Attributes

Endurance: affects the amount of stamina and stamina regeneration

Willpower: affects the state of mind and increase the resistance to illusion and torture spells

Luck: affects items drop percentage

After he looked at the stats properties Li JinHai decided to increase Strength and Agility by one. After he increased these two stats, he could feel his strength and speed increased by a tiny bit. It was a strange yet incredible sensation.

"Have my stats really increased just like that?" With a thought, another blue screen appeared.

Endurance was also very important, and Li JinHai spent 2 points only to fight three zombies and walk around the mountain, if he finds a larger group of zombies his current Endurance would not even be enough to flee!

Li JinHai walked for a few minutes without meeting zombies. He was surprised because he thought that the mountain range would have been way more dangerous. Apparently, he had apparently been unlucky to meet three zombies shortly after spawning.

"Ahhhhhhh! Help! SOMEBODY, ANYBODY PLEASE HELP ME!" Suddenly he heard a scream. It was a man's voice who was asking for help. Li JinHai ran towards the source of the voice and as he was nearing the screams became louder and louder. However, after a few seconds, the screams stopped. He neared an open area without trees, it was from there that the voice was coming from. A smile was on his face because finally he could meet another person. However, as he moved the bushes his face paled. The sight before him was extremely horrifying and creepy!

Li JinHai had never seen such a bloody sight in his life, not even in movies. There were 5 zombies, two LV2 and three LV1 that were devouring a person's body. What was the most disturbing was that the person was still alive and was struggling on the ground, but he couldn't escape as the five creatures were all over him. Although zombies had a deteriorated body with almost no existing muscle, they were actually stronger than the average person. Moreover, a LV1 player with average stats could not lift the weight of five zombies. Big chunks of bloody flesh were ripped from the man's body reducing him to an incredibly miserable state. A great part of his face had got already bitten off and his stomach and other organs were gushing out from his belly.

"Gulp." Li JinHai could not help but swallow back the vomit which almost came out from his mouth, He could only imagine the pain the man was enduring at that moment

Suddenly the man saw Li JinHai behind the bushes and extended his hand towards him.

"He-Help me." His voice was extremely weak. Li JinHai started to think, should he help the man or just flee from the zombies? After all, the man was already done for anyway. His death was certain as he already lost a lot of blood and if he was so lucky to survive, he would inevitably turn into a zombie.

"What to do?" He though.
