Zombie!!

Li JinHai used 'Observation' on the bloody creature.

Minor Zombie LV1

A slow creature with increased strength.

Skills

[Viral Infection] with a bite or a scratch he can turn other beings into infected creatures

His face paled, only a scratch and he would be turned into a zombie? That was too dangerous! And this was only the tutorial.

"For this time, I'll help you a bit." Exclaimed the child. "Although the zombie is stronger than a normal person it is also extremely slow. If you are careful, you can easily get around him and behead it. The only weakness of the zombies is their head. Until you cut their head, they will try to kill you, even if you cut their legs they will not stop as they don't feel pain or any sort of sensation and emotion."

Li JinHai looked at the Recruit Katana in his hands and hardened the grip. The zombie was slowly walking towards him. Occasionally it would emit soft roars. A bloody path was being formed behind it. The blood wasn't as red as that of humans, but slightly black and looked real gross. He could not imagine how hemophobic people could cope with such a tutorial.

In a few moments, only 20 meters separated them. Li JinHai started to walk slowly towards the zombie. He was holding firmly the katana as he pointed it towards the bloody creature.

When the zombie was in the range of the katana JinHai slashed. One of the zombie's arms was cut but the zombie didn't slow down, exactly like the bunny-eared kid said before. It was still trying to harm Li JinHai.

"As you can see you can easily cut the zombie bones as they would deteriorate with the Viral Infection." Said the child. Li JinHai looked at the katana, he indeed managed to cut the zombie's arm quite easily.

After the first blow he quickly ran behind the zombie. The monster's reaction was extremely slow, and he was able to cut the zombie head without any problems. The bloody head rolled on the ground and the body of the zombie fall lifeless on the ground.

"Well done, you completed the first part of the Tutorial!" Exclaimed the kid with a smile. "Now you shall face the second and last part." With a gesture of his hands three other bloody figures appeared not too far from Kang. They were similar to the zombie that he just killed but he still used 'Observation' on them.

As expected, two of the three were like the zombie he killed but the third was different. It was a LV2 Minor Zombie.

"What does it change between a LV1 zombie and a LV2?" He exclaimed at the child.

"Not much, it is only a bit stronger and his body and bones are harder." Exclaimed the bunny-eared kid. Li JinHai nodded, knowing this he felt at ease. Defeating a zombie was easy, two more zombies would not pose a threat to him.

The three zombies were proceeding slowly towards him, the two LV1 before and the LV2 behind. Bloody footprints were left on the white floor as they walked. Somehow that scene reminded Li JinHai about Resident Evil 5 when Alice fought the zombies in the white corridor. He really liked that movie, he never thought in his life that he would have found himself in a similar situation.

Li JinHai walked slowly towards the three zombies. When he was near them the Recruit Katana slashed against one of the LV1 zombies. It seemed that one zombie would be killed just like that but all of a sudden, he saw a hand getting near to him. He skillfully dodged and retreated. It was the LV2 zombie that attacked him. He was way faster than a LV1.

"Fuck, if I was a normal person maybe I would have died there." In his heart he was thankful for his grandfather's teachings and for being so strict when he trained him. "I was lucky this time! I have to be more careful." He thought. In a few seconds he was ready to strike again.

"As you can see zombies are strong only when they are in groups. You can't concentrate only on one zombie but always check on the entire group!" Exclaimed the kid.

Li JinHai nodded and neared the zombies again. As he neared a LV1 zombie he moved beside it and cut its arm. The other two zombies hadn't enough time to help the injured one and he managed to cut its head easily. Only two zombies remained.

"The best method to kill them is to attack from the sides and not head-on." Thought Li JinHai. Indeed, that was the best way as the zombies would need some time to react to their enemy movements and counterattack.

Suddenly the other LV1 zombie attacked Li JinHai. However, he stepped back to swiftly dodge the incoming attack. The zombie lost his balance and fell down and couldn't defend himself from Li JinHai's Recruit Katana.

SLASH

Another head rolled on the ground with the lifeless body lying near Li JinHai. Now only the LV2 zombie was standing before him.

The zombie was not affected the slightest by the death of the other two zombies and walked towards Li JinHai as nothing happened. He didn't waste any time and ran towards the LV2 zombie. The zombie extended its arm to catch Li JinHai but as the arm neared him, he cut it with his katana. From his swift movements anybody could see that the young boy was really skillful and used to fight. However, this time, when he slashed, he could clearly feel that the LV2 zombie's bones were way more tough compared to the LV1's. It was like the child said, the higher-level zombies were harder to deal with. Despite this, Li JinHai's strength was still enough to cut the arm through and the one-armed zombie could last only some moments before his head rolled on the ground.

BIP

"Congratulation! You have completed the Quest 'Becoming a Player'.

Reward: Recruit Katana, 10 Silver Coins

Li JinHai was a little disappointed with the quest reward but he thought that after all the tutorial was not too difficult and the rabbit-eared kid would occasionally help him. In the end the reward was rather fair.

"Congratulation for completing the Tutorial!" Said the child smiling "Now I'll tell you the last two things. Since you are now officially a player you can now store one weapon. You only need to think to store your katana and it will automatically disappear in your inventory and if you want to use it again you just have to imagine holding it. You can do the same thing for Gold and Silver Coins. Also, when you spawn on the Magic World you should check your attributes right away. They are both random or based on your previous life experiences."

Li JinHai looked at the Recruit Katana in his hands and with a thought he made it disappear, he could feel that the weapon has entered his mind as if a storing space randomly formed inside his head and could use it at any time.

"The other thing is that you can think about a person that you know during the teleportation so that you will appear near him or her. Of course, there is the possibility for that person to have died already. In that case, you will be sent near a place you lived in, in your previous life." The kid grinned.

Li JinHai thought of his mother. "Mum, you must survive at all cost!"

"Keep in mind that the Magic World is incredibly big having continents as big as the entire planet Earth, so when I say 'near' maybe there will still be hundreds or thousands of kilometers between you and that person."

Li JinHai's expression changed again. "It seems it will not be that easy to meet mum again." He thought.

"Wait, will the teleportation be painful like the last time?" Li JinHai was worried that he would feel all that pain again.

"Don't worry about that. The last time it was like that because your body was being turned into a Player Body. Now you can go!" The child made a gesture with his hands and the golden light enveloped Li JinHai.

As he was teleported, he felt the sensation of being on a roller coaster again but this time he could easily endure the sensation. Li JinHai disappeared and reappeared in the Magic World.

As he spawned a blue screen appeared before him with all the information about the place.

Back in the white tutorial room the kid was standing still, still watching towards the direction in which Li JinHai disappeared with his eyes looking mysterious, nobody could guess what he was thinking about.

"Such a powerful bloodline has already appeared early in the game." The kid smiled. He was an extremely old being, he witnessed the passing of countless eras and epochs in his endless life causing him to forget about most of the things he saw or heard about. Yet, he could still remember an ancient legend. It was an old one, even older than himself. A legend about a Golden Sea in the mid of the primordial chaos.

"The unstoppable Golden Sea devours the universes; nothing can escape the golden era." Said the kid as he smiled showing two rows of sharp teeth. Then, as nothing happened he disappeared, surrounded by golden light.
