Chapter 26

"Right away, captain," Lucas replied and hurriedly left me alone with the Captain.

The Captain, without looking at me, leaned on the handrail, resting his elbows on it.

For a few moments, he didn't speak.

"Do you see over there? It is the port of Luck. Tomorrow morning we will be there," he told me and showed me the land ahead.

I didn't speak. I didn't want to tell him that I already knew because I didn't want to ruin our last moments together. I also wanted to see if he had anything else to say to me.

"I also heard the joyous new about Lady. I am glad for her. I am also glad for you." he told me and left without explaining what exactly he meant.

The following day, as the Captain had told me, we entered the port of Luck. I climbed on deck and leaned on the handrail, observing the harbor.

It was quite a large port and already had taken in several boats in its bay unloading or loading and then continue their sea trip.
