JAUNE ARC POV

"The Vytal Festival! Oh, this is absolutely wonderful!" Weiss said.

He gave the girl a side glance before he looked at all the decorations around him.

He didn't understand why these people were decorating the shops and the streets. Not when the 'Vytal festival Tournament' was still two months away.

If what he had to guess was true then the Festival was probably the equivalent of Olympics from back on Earth. Maybe even more important.

Still, that was not the reason why he had come down here. He was never really the type of guy who was much interested in Festivals.

In fact, he was among those people who close their doors and play video games inside their homes during festivals, hoping that they won't be disturbed by a neighbor or a long-forgotten family member.

The reason why he was here was to see if he'll be able to meet Penny and if he'll get 'Progress improvement' by meeting and befriending her.

Not that he only wanted to befriend her for selfish reasons.

Penny was only of the few genuinely kind-hearted people in this world. It was a sad thing that she didn't have any friends because of her situation (being a cyborg) and because of her eccentric way of speaking.

If he could befriend her and stop her from being accidentally butchered by Pyrrha then that would be great.

"I don't see what's so wonderful about any of this." He said "Though you should probably smile a bit more. You look more beautiful when you do."

Weiss turned beet red and Pyrrha chuckled at his words.

"Jaune's right." Ruby said "But you never smile Weiss. So your smile is kinda weirding me out."

Thankfully, Weiss's embarrassment stopped her from going on a tangent about how great the Vytal festival was.

They walked around for a bit before they finally arrived at the Docks.

"This place smells like fish." Ruby said as she scrunched up her face and pinched her nose.

And yes, the place indeed smelled.

But despite his heightened sense of smell, he didn't felt very uncomfortable.

He had read a book where a guy would enhance his senses and then get absolutely floored because he either heard something loud or smelled something bad.

That didn't happen to him for some reason.

If he had to guess, it was because the heightened sense of a Dragon also brought the heightened resistance against those senses.

For example, rats have a highly sensitive sense of smell. But while a human would be troubled by the smell of the sewers, the rats are able to live there without any problem because having sensitive senses also allowed them to build better resistance against that sense.

But… that was him going off-topic.

He tuned out the three girls of his team and kept an eye on the ships at the docks for any sign of Sun.

"Woah… what happened here?" Ruby said and he felt the worry and slight discomfort from her mind.

He turned to see a Dust Shop. One that has been recently robbed and was currently covered by police tapes and being investigated by the police officers.

Oh yeah. This happened in the series as well. He had completely forgotten about it.

In fact, now that he remembered it, he had a feeling that his actions should have Butterflied this situation away. But it looked like luck was not on the side of whoever this shop belonged to.

"You thinking this was done by the White Fang?" one of the detectives asked while the other rolled his eyes and yawned "Yeah, I think we don't get paid enough."

And of course. Our resident Faunus lover had to hear it.

"White Fang. What an awful bunch of degenerates." Weiss said.

He put a hand on her and mushed her hair.

"Hey!" she protested and gave him an evil eye for messing up her perfect princess ponytail.

He smirked at her "Now now. You shouldn't say such things, Weiss. What if one of your teammates happened to be a Faunus."

Weiss scoffed "That's ridiculous. If one of my teammates was a Faunus then I would know."

"Would you?" he asked in amusement and he sided up to Ruby and pulled at her cheeks "Look at Ruby. Look at her Puppy eyes. She definitely has a Dog Fanus somewhere in her ancestry. I'm sure of it. She's definitely a spy from the White Fang."

"Jaaaune…" Ruby protested and he ruffled her hair before allowing her to escape his evil clutches.

"That's absurd," Weiss said but he could see that she was amused by his words.

"Or look at Pyrrha." He said as he moved behind her and hugged her waist "Look at her wide expressive eyes, her thin alluring lips, her red lustrous hair." Pyrrha rolled her eyes and leaned on his chest and he smirked playfully "Tell me she doesn't remind you of an... Orangutan- ouch!!"

Pyrrha buried her elbow on his gut and turned to give him a sweet and loving smile that sent a chill down his spine "I look like an Orangutan to you, do I?"

"Of course not my love." He said and despite her wish to remain stern face, he could see the blush creeping up her cheeks "You're definitely a Red Panda."

He stepped away from her before she could elbow him once again and Ruby started giggling at his words while Weiss almost laughed but turned it into a huff at the last moment.

"And me! Don't I look like a Dragon Faunus to you." He raised his hands in front of him and made a clawing gesture "Grrr."

Weiss gave him a deadpanned expression "There is no such thing as Dragon Faunus you Brute. If you had paid attention to any of your classes then you would know. And even if there was one, you would not be it."

He scoffed and made a bodybuilder pose "Look at these coiled muscles rippling with power. Don't they look like the muscles of a Dragon to you? Tell her Ruby."

"They really don't Jaune," Ruby said and then started giggling at the heartbroken and betrayed look on his face.

That finally brought a chuckle from Weiss and Pyrrha started to smile as well.

Before they could say anything else though, they heard a shout from the distance.

"Hey! Stop that Stowaway."

Oh, it was finally time!

AN: Some light-hearted conversation and fluff. Believe me, I was surprised as well. I'm rather bad when it comes to writing light-hearted scenes like these.
