Chapter 8

A cold breeze swept throughout the yard as a figure started to decent from the sky above everyone. People all over the luxurious yard were holding wine glasses and dressed up in expensive clothing from head to toe. It was clear that the place was having a party for people of a higher standing than Jade's normal targets. He could see all their eyes on him as he descended from above and gracefully landed his feet on the ground in the center of the party. His jade eyes scanning the area as his heightened senses worked on pin pointing down his target.

"It's the jade devil!"

"What is he doing here?!"

"Run if you don't want to die!"

He could hear their panic and puzzlement on why he was standing before them all. It did not matter to him whether or not they were scared of him and ran away because he only had one person that was required to die by his hand tonight. Screams could be heard from all over the yard as the sight of people scurrying away in freight from the sight of him was a sight to behold. It only took him a few seconds to lock eyes on a tall man dressed in white from head to toe with shoulder length hair as white as snow in winter and a pair of eyes that were like glass tinted in blue.

"Silvester Kellner, I am here for your life." Jade spoke towards the man that he knew at a glance was the man he was hired to kill.

Normally when a human saw him they would flee in fear for their life but Silvester Kellner was different from the others before that he had hunted. It seemed as though he had already been expecting Jade to come for him. Something about the situation and look in Silvester's eyes did not settle well with him but he did his best to ignore that feeling. If he was too cautious and hesitated he was worried his target could have time to get away from him. Even if he could easily catch up to a human who flees from him he did not like more work than he had to do.

"We finally meet, Jade Devil." Silvester Kellner spoke after a moment of silence with a calm smile on his face that almost seemed soft and gentle yet there was something behind his eyes that Jade could not place.

"Enough. I need your life not your words." Jade started to stride himself towards Silvester thinking that the man would try to run the second he moved but there was no attempt to flee.

A group of men who were not afraid to throw away their own lives began to jump towards Jade. He was caught off guard slightly by the action the men were doing because his usual kills did not have other people that were so easily willing to throw their own lives away for the target. Extending both his hands out his body lunged forward until both hands were grasping a man by the throw. Cracking and crunching sounds resounded in the air as his grasp tightened so firmly that both their necks snapped in an instant. Their bodies them being thrown so hard to Jade's sides that the corpses slammed into the other men that were rushing towards him causing them all to fall down under the bodies.

Silvester's face was filled with a delighted smile as he watched Jade slaughtering his own men. It was as though he felt nothing towards losing them. The wings on Jade's back flung themselves open and he forced everything he had into his wings to launch himself forward so that he was speeding through the air towards the smiling Silvester. Jade's fingernails were extending themselves into long sharp razor like weapons. In a matter of seconds his own hand was colliding into Silvester's stomach until it was exiting him from his back. Blood splattered everywhere on the impact of Jade's attack.

"Heheheh! Hahaha!" Silvester broke out into a mad laughter as if he was not feeling the attack at all. It was clear that the attack had landed on him because there was a massive hold in his stomach but somehow the man still had the life in him to simply laugh at Jade as if he was nothing but an insect biting him.

"How?" Jade bluntly asked as his jade eyes stared down the pair of crazed glass blue eyes of the target in front of him while slowly removing his hand from the gut of the Silvester.

"You didn't think you're the only one like you in this city did you?" Silvester mocked Jade as his blue eyes began to slit themselves like that of a cat. His white suit began to shred as a pair of massive white wings burst forth from his back in an instant. It seemed as though Silvester had long gotten use to using his wings, but Jade could easily assume that was because Silvester was born and raised as what he was. It was clear that he would easily be able to understand his own form better than someone like Jade who was simply tossed into the body he had now. In that moment Silvester looked majestic and beautiful but there was a strong killing intent that made Jade's internal warning signs scream at full alarm to get out of there.

Turning to fly away as fast as he could Jade could feel Silvester's killing intent as he flew after him from behind. It only took a matter of seconds for Silvester to catch up to him while he was flying above the city. Silvester had his hands firmly grasping Jade from his wings.

"You really want to be a devil? Allow me to help you with that!" Silvester screamed out his words with a crazed rage that Jade could not comprehend in that moment.

"Ahhh!" A fierce deathly scream filled the sky above the city. Jade's scream was so loud that all the people on the streets below raised their heads to look at the two winged figures above. It did not take much for some of them to even raise their phones to live stream and record the fight from below.

A powerful pain surged throughout Jade's body as his entire form shuddered. It felt like a massive heat explosion was scorching him from the inside out. His jade eyes were glowing so intently that he could not fathom what was going on at the moment. Silvester's firm grasp on his wings was so close to where they exit his body that his back could feel the movement but it took him a while to realize and understand what was happening to himself. He could feel the man putting pressure onto him with his knee as he began pulling. His wings were being torn off!
